Saw Toy Story 5 here recently which will date this review in short fashion with time! I appreciated that the theater was overall clean and well-kept. The very young employees working to let people in didn't even scan our tickets, which was not an issue, but it could prove to be a problem for the theater if they don't have someone watching this a bit more closely. The preview/ ads before the movie were a full 30 minutes, which I found a bit excessive. I know all theaters have quite a few previews and wonder how much this varies. Reclining seats were comfortable, volume was appropriate, and temperature was nice without being arctic, as some theaters could be. What I didn't love was a $2 booking fee for buying your ticket online (per ticket) with a push to join a Cinemark monthly membership club to waive this fee. Seeing a movie in theaters is already quite expensive these days, so I didn't love the additional 17% fee on matinee ticket just for it to be purchased online. At the end of the day it's of course worth it to not be in the front row or far edge, but just tricky how most everything these days incurs hidden fees that can add up when trying to do family / group activities. Overall, the quality of this theater is still strong with some minor qualms likely characteristic of the industry. read more

Me and my movie going bestie ( we are here all the time ) JUST got our drinks and snacks. and as soon as i sat down my slushie went all over the seat and the floor. I was super upset because movie concessions aren't cheap!!! And i went to the closest worker and asked if they did replacements/refills and they said no even though it was an accident. I was confused because i work at a coffee shop and customers always drop their drinks and we always remake it for them no problem. So i was pretty upset they don't do refills especially since they are so expensive and that it was an accident. read more

Came here on a Friday afternoon and had a great experience. There was ample parking and lots of open seats. You have the option to buy your tickets online, outside with help, or inside at the kiosk. The popcorn was so good and concession lines were nonexistent. Don't forget to bring your movie blanket! read more

I've been going to this theater for the past 20 years! I love the way the exterior looks. It feels very authentic with the Hollywood walk of fame stars out front. Plenty of parking. There's an arcade inside along with a photobooth. Box office ticket booths outside. It's what a movie theater experience should be! This place is always clean and it's got lots of theaters with regular seats, DBOX seats, and other cool features. Tickets are super expensive lately (like $13 for a regular seat at night) but you can go to the early bird showing or on a discount Tuesday for less. It's not in its prime since the age of streaming, so there are some concession stands that are never in use, but they have a wide variety of concessions, including drinks, and plenty of people working in the front so you don't feel the loss. The only thing that bugs me about this theater is that they have the nice cushy recliner chairs, but if you recline all the way back, you can't really see the bottom 1/3 of the screen. I love coming to cinemark, specifically this location at Legacy. However, there is this one specific worker that is so awful and such a miserable human being, he ruins the entire experience. He is an older man that is usually scanning the tickets upfront. Every single time I go to this location he clearly is always having a bad day. He is always so rude, passive aggressive, and down right unpleasant to be around. He can never crack a smile not once, and for him to be the first person you see is very questionable. Furthermore, I asked a worker for his name and he immediately knew who I was talking about and asked if he was rude to me but did not give me his name. Obviously he has issues not only with customers but his own co-workers. He clearly is a miserable human being that probably needs a hug, friends, or even a therapist, or maybe he needs all three. Every time I think of going to a Cinemark, I want to actively avoid this location because of him and his rude unwanted attitude. read more

I've never been to a movie here, but I love the FREE electricity for my EV. I just wanted to say thank you to the owners and the customers of Cinemark Legacy. I use their free EV chargers all the time. I will sometimes walk to a nearby restaurant or have a friend drive me home. I'm sure this is a nice theater, although I've never been inside. Went to go see a rated R movie and me and friend were pulled out of the theater for an ID check (which should've been done before we went to the theater but there was no one at the ticket checkpoint). I showed the manager my ID and he said I wasn't of age although I was 17. When I proved him and the girl who was supposed to be at the ticket checkpoint wrong, they continued to be very rude after. I wasn't even able to be issued a refund for them causing me to miss part of the movie, just a movie pass. I went back a couple months later and they told me I wasn't of age again!! Not sure if the employees don't know simple math but I would recommend attending a different theater. read more

The pandemic and probably the nearby "dinner theatres" are really having an effect on this theatre. (even though covid is done now). The theatre is just poorly managed. The guy taking tickets is sitting in his seat with his head down in his arms sleeping. lol.. The theatre has nice seats but man, it smells like a Strip Club, the theatre isn't clean (there's popcorn everywhere). There is staff here. Most are all huddled IN FRONT of the concession stand talking to each other, while the "ticket taker" is sleeping and one unfortunate worker is slaving away behind the concession. The separate kitchen to the left which has been closed since the pandemic is still closed. to be honest, I haven't been here in a long time. I go to strike and reel and to Alamo Drafthouse, but this was the closest place i could find my movie at the time i wanted. That said, I doubt I'll be back. There's just to many other options that blow this place away now. BTW. I am a very frequent movie goer, i see two movies a week on average. Cheers read more

I dig Cinemark theatres. I went to my first one in Columbus, OH last November and loved my experience. Last month, I decided to take in a couple of movies during my vacation in Dallas. Both times, I came to the Legacy, which was the closest Cinemark by the hotel. Both times, I caught a matinee. On Sunday, it was Green Book. On Monday, I watched Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The former was outstanding. The latter was pretty good. You purchase your tickets from a kiosk outside before you enter the theatre. It's cool. You also choose your seat. I used cash one day and a credit card the next. Alternatively, you can use the kiosk inside to pay for your movie. If you need to access the washrooms before hitting the concession stands, you need to go through the ticket-checking person first. I wanted to visit the women's restroom before getting popcorn and a beverage. He was kind to let me in without checking my ticket until I did it again with my popcorn and beverage with me. Nice! There is a ton of parking at this movie theatre. You have nothing to worry about. The concession stand lineups are short and move pretty quickly. I got a small Diet Coke and a small popcorn. The popcorn was the perfect size after having eaten lunch. I had half my drink remaining by the time the movie was over. The carpet in each theatre has the row letters marked. You can't go wrong. Each leather chair has an assigned number. You see this label twice on either side of your comfy chair. It reclines. It's wide. It's heavenly! The screen quality is sharp and crisp. The sound is excellent. I loved my experience here both times. I felt at home, but with a bunch of strangers watching the same movies as I was. I like this Cinemark. If I am back in Dallas again, I'd return here in a heartbeat to take in another movie. (70) read more

I really wanted a good movie experience to watch Oppenheimer. I researched the 70 mm filming of the movie and wanted to watch it at IMAX. The schedule was booked for the next week so the next best thing was XD. All of the reviews said this Cinemax theater was the best place to go, and I wasn't disappointed. The theater did an excellent job serving us and showing the movie. I was so impressed with the Concession stand attendant Paris that I promised him I would recognize him in this review. Besides making sure he found out not just what we were ordering, but what we really wanted and how we wanted it. Then, when he made sure to check the temperature of our hot dogs and ensure they were the proper temperature, I was blown away at the level of service. Great job Cinemark. Its easy to buy tickets, we love the assign seating, the popcorn is always fresh, there are no questions about our cola cherry icee mix, the theater temp is always comfortable, and the lounger chairs are super cool!! Visit continues to be good. I would recommend getting nachos from the traditional concession area and not the hot grill area. My nachos had too much cheese and they were soggy. We're recent transplants to the Dallas area and LOVE going to the movies. We had a regular theatre chain that we frequented in Austin, but thought we'd try Cinemark, as it's literally 2 minutes from our house. We ended up liking it, so we became MovieClub Members...When you become a member you get discounted movie tix and 20% off concessions. Additionally, you earn points for swag and free tix. There is a monthly fee, but you earn 1 free ticket every month, so basically the membership is free! AND when you buy your tix online or on the app, the online fees are waved. So,being a Movie Club Member is da bomb! Ok, this theatre: When you walk in, the first thing you notice is how clean it is. As you make you're way around the concessions area, they have a "restaurant" section, where you can order a meal. You can choose from a pizza, burger and fries, wings (really good), restaurant style nachos, etc.. There's also a coffee bar and Paciugo's gelato. As you make you're way around, you'll find a bar, where you can order a Jack and Coke icee, what?! YES! And finally, of course, at the last counter, you can order standard movie concessions as well as movie gear, i.e. t-shirts, stuffed animals, blankets, cups, etc... I usually love going to this theater. Most cuz it's walking distance from my house. However, they need to get a handle on their environmentals. I went there last nite and the theater was stuffy to the point of being uncomfortable. My legs stuck to the leg rest. When I left my back, seat and legs were all sweaty. What's strange is that just a couple weeks ago the room was chilly and I had to wear a hoodie to be comfortable. A situation I'd rather have to deal with cuz I can wear the hoodie. Too hot and you can't do anything about it. This isn't the first time I've been there when the rooms been warm. It is definitely one of the worst experiences I have had there. read more

There's no much to say about this cinemark. They have the reserved/recliners seat. They have a couple of concessions for crazy days/nights. I believe they sell booze which is a win! It was pretty clean the other night. Employees seemed to be doing their jobs. Sound and picture were great. Bohemian Rhapsody was amazing! I never knew this location existed until my friend invited me. This theater has an old school feel to me but it is very modern. Something about this theater brings back childhood movie theater memories and I like that. Now on to the inside, the chairs that have motorized control for reclining. I thoroughly enjoyed this! This theater has everything: arcade while you're waiting, Starbucks and gelato, the regular faire popcorn, icee, nachos, and candy. If you want more of a burger, chili nachos, potato samosas, or even chicken wraps... you got it. The seats are awesome with recline and lotsa space. I love how you just use the self purchase screen and pick your seats. Really can't make the viewing experience any better! My only complaint is I had to wait quite a bit for my chai latte.. other than that, no complaints! read more

When I go to the movies I spend LOTS of $$$ on the best seats and concessions. When I'm charged $6 for a Large Drink and $7 for a large popcorn I get upset that Cinemark no longer gives a free refill. Margin on those items is ridiculous, and it feels a little cheap of Cinemark. No wonder why some people try to sneak snacks and drinks in. It's a joke. read more

Those reclining seats are def a game changer. The theater was clean, plenty of seats to choose from, with more than enough space in between them. Watched a kids movie and didn't have anyone kicking my seat! It also various arcade games to occupy that preview time. It was busy when we went, but didn't have to wait long at all to get some snacks. Will be back. read more

I went with my brother to watch Oppenheimer and we arrived at the correct time and the movie didn't start until 15 minutes after scheduled. Make sure to bring some entertainment for the millions of commercials. Besides that it was overall nice I enjoyed the seats they were very comfortable and the movie was in high definition. read more

I love watching movies at the Cinemark Legacy in Plano TX. The Theater is big and they have the most comfortable seats. The seats are powered recliners so you can relax in luxury while watching your movie. The XD experience is amazing and they have high quality sound systems. Another thing I like about this location is that it plays a lot of different type of films including international ones. On Friday night, I went to watch an international film and was able to get good seats an hour before the show. They have assigned seating which is convenient especially if you buy the tickets early. Great place to take kids and family for movie night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The parking lot is huge so it's never an issue finding a parking spot. The theater rooms are kept clean and tidy. I'll be going back to watch a few other movies during this holiday break. read more
