I showed owner my bad sensor and he went and pulled a new sensor and gave me instructions on how to put new sensor on. This morning I noticed my outside unit wasn't working. I removed the capacitor and went to American AC supply. As I was purchasing capacitor, the owner ran a quick test and advised the capacitor is good. Owner tells an AC technician William if he would swing by my house and take a quick look at my system. Patrick, the store representative, reminded me that there are still good people in the world that are willing to go the extra mile for their customers! I don't know anything about a/c units . Best place around for parts and honest answers. Always has what I need. If you are a DIY'er and somewhat know your way around an A/C unit, I would buy your parts here. I needed a new fan motor for my condenser and it was Sunday morning. Read that this guy will meet you on a Sunday at his store if at all possible. I called...he said that he'll probably be there around noon. Drove down from The Woodlands...met Patrick at the store, and he sold me exactly what I needed at a good price. Our main AC went out on Friday night (we have 2 units and both were out). We're in the middle of July with a 9-month old baby, so it is very important we get the AC going ASAP. We installed a window unit in our bedroom to have one cooler room, but the situation was very stressful. We were able to have a repairman come out early evening on Saturday who refilled our freon and explained that the fan cooling the compressor on our main AC unit was broken. He did not have the replacement part, but suggested my husband buy it and replace it himself as it would save us money. This being Saturday night, we thought it very unlikely we would be able to find a supply store open to sell us the part before Monday. Just to check if any store would be open on Sunday, I began researching shops around town. We have been to American AC Supply in the past (always a pleasant experience), but I saw they are supposed to be closed on Sundays. I checked around the rest of town with no luck. We resigned ourselves to having no AC for another couple days. Just out of curiosity, I began reading the Yelp reviews for American AC Supply. I saw a few people reporting that the store had been open on previous Sundays or that the owner accomodated them and opened the shop just so they could get what they needed. I suggested to my husband that he call the store to see if anyone could help us. This was around 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. My husband called and, sure enough, a gentleman answered. He said he had the part we needed and he would open the store at 8:00 in the morning, so we could come pick it up! What service! My husband went the next morning and talked to Khetpal. Khetpal got my husband the part we needed, suggested an additional part we needed and even assembled them. Khetpal also provided installation tips. My husband had our AC up and running a couple hours later. We strongly recommend buying from American AC supply. They have what you need, have great service, and will even open the store when you are in a bind on a hot day. read more
