American Eagle repaired my roof in November 2023. We have illness in the family and were missing tiles off of our roof from the difficult prior winter. We could not afford to go with a full roof replacement at that time which truly is needed and Chris the Project Coordinator assessed what was critical to get us through the winter, gave us several alternatives and gave the priorities of what had to be fixed. The roof shingles no longer exists so he suggested tiles that are amazingly similar and we had the work done. The repairs were done on time and some loose singles in the area of the repair were put back in place properly. After the repair there was an issue with a roof ventilation fan making an odd noise and a roofer came out within a day of the problem occurring and discovered a mounting screw loose and replaced the mounting screws with new longer ones. I am working on a plan to get the roof replaced and American Eagle will be doing the work. I trust them ... they did what they said they would do when they said they would do. They treated us like family. read more

Husband noticed a leak in our garage after a heavy rain and thought for sure it was related to recent solar panel install. Contacted American Eagle Roofing and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful representative who explained the frequency of these types of issues and assured me that they could check things out free of charge- even if it ended up being solar-related and they would not end up doing the work. That in itself was great. Sean came out about a week later- on time and was very respectful about masking and COVID precautions. We have a medically fragile child at home so we were very grateful for this. He was able to identify the area of the leak right away (not solar!) and it ended up being a quick fix. AER could have easily turned down the visit knowing they may not end up with the job, and they also could have easily made the job seem greater than it was. I used them to replace my roof and to put in gutters, but only where I needed the roof replaced and the gutters replaced. They were awesome. They have a showroom where you can go see the product. They were very reasonably priced compared to some of the other companies who gave me much higher quotes, and had me replacing a roof on a garage that was not ready for replacement yet. They fit me in their busy schedule so I could replace my roof that had partly blown off during the most recent wind and rain storms. They hire Veterans and did a great job! read more

American Eagle Roofing may be the best of the best but I will never know. I contacted them for an estimate on repairing / replacing my roof. Two men showed up on time and were very friendly. The one that actually got on my roof (Steve) was very professional and actually fixed a rubber vent seal for free while he was here. Needless to say I was grateful and impressed. Now the issue, I made it very clear that I needed the estimate by a certain date and Steve said "no problem." That date came and went (no estimate) so I sent a text and was answered right away by a representative that said she would let Steve know. More time passed and nothing. Finally I had to make my decision and unfortunately American Eagle had to be eliminated based on their failure to follow through and provide the promised estimate. I cannot hire or trust a company when they do not follow through and communicate and do what was promised. I'm glad this happened prior to me signing the contract. May be I am too picky but when a contractor says they will do something and then do not I cannot do business with them. I found American Eagle on Yelp and glad I did. Super professional from the get-go. Very responsive and friendly on the phone. Came when they said they would come, both for the bid and for the work. Rob went on my roof and took pictures of all that was needed for debris removal and repair, and explained everything clearly. Estimate price was reasonable. I booked the job and they called and confirmed the day before. Marcos and Aldo showed up right on time the day of the repairs and did a GREAT job, more than meeting my expectations. Broken tiles replaced, tile gaps sealed, valleys cleaned, and all the debris on the ground removed so my yard looked great afterward. (Even little things I appreciate, like moving pillows on my patio sofa so as not to blow debris behind the pillows) Marcos also did a small dry rot repair, and seeing the existing wood color from the estimate photos, he came with the wood already painted so I don't have to climb up there and paint. He was very honest, competitive in his price, and professional in his interactions. The repair and maintenance work went on without surprises. I was impressed by Rebecca as the project coordinator, and Marisa, in customer service. Rebecca was on top of the project from the day it started and was in communication with me throughout. The crew was also very considerate and seemed to be experienced in performing the work. I had American Eagle Roofing (AER) repair (replace broken tiles) and clean the valleys of an existing (23 yrs.) cement tile roof. The results seem to be very good (I say seems because I am not a roofing expert, nor will I go up on the roof to inspect and will take their workers word for it.) The workers sent out to do the job were very professional, accommodating and cleaned up thoroughly. However, after the workers started the work, they said that the quote missed about 2/3rds of the tiles actually needing replacement which resulted in an increase cost of approximately 78% over what was quoted. I was told this is because it is hard to find all the broken tiles until they actually start tearing up the ones they could see when quoting. Yet another roofer quoted way more tiles than AER did (approximately 80% of what was eventually replace) but I thought that roofer was likely "padding" the job since a third roofer quoted a slightly higher price than AER and estimated a near identical quantity of tiles needing replacement as AER. They started the work but had to stop due to not having enough tiles with them. The next day someone delivered the additional tiles, but they were grey, and our roof is terra cotta colored. I pointed this out to AER management and was told that was "industry standard" to use used tiles of whatever color can be found since the exact tiles on my roof were no longer manufactured and they couldn't match the color. (None of that was stated as a possibility on the quote.) Unfortunately, our HOA will not allow multicolored roofs, so I asked if they would attempt to find tiles that more closely matched to the color of my roof. I was told that was highly unlikely, but they would look. A few days later someone showed up with tiles that were a near match with my roof color and was told by the delivery guy he didn't "blame me" for objecting to the color and that the workers had sent photos and pointed out the different colors to AER management but were told to continue the work. About 10 days later the workers came back to replace the grey tiles and complete the work. In the end they made it right but it seemed like, only because I insisted. read more

Out of five companies that I had received estimates from, America Eagle Roofing was ultimately the clear and best choice. I had a few inspections and quotes that were sub par, unimaginably priced, or didn't fit my needs. I decided to go with AER, not just because they gave me a decent price, or that they were able to get me financing. The true reason was the purchasing experience. On the day of my inspection, I was not expecting a Knight in roofing armor. Standing 6' something tall, and easy on the eyes mind you, Chris Stohl gave the best inspection out of the five companies. He searched out the dry rot WITH HIS FISTS!!! True story. During the process it never seemed like he was bothered, or out of reach of my questions. I knew I met a guy who meant business, when he was able to answer my call, and questions, all while taking care of "his business." (The #2.) TERRIBLE roofing company. As I saw in another review here, they scratched up all of our paint ALL along our house with black tar while removing our old roof, which could've easily been prevented by simply hanging Tarps. Even when we called and told them about their sloppy mess, the office lady, Rebecca, said that is definitely "out of the norm". Sean, the owner tried telling us that our contract states "damages to painting and siding is an unfortunate side effect of the construction process" which is untruthful and is not anywhere in our contract and adds to the list of lies he's told us. I did attached a picture of our contract to prove that. The contract states nothing about the paint and siding of our house. They never came out and "repainted"our house, to remove the tar, they came out and used GASOLINE all over our house making our whole house smell like terrible strong gasoline. I guess that was the best "solvent" they could come up with. They also left garbage all over our yard. Then showed up to do the gutters with the wrong (smaller pieces) of wood and OG gutters, trying to install cheaper material. No one knew why they had the wrong wood and OG gutters, no one could give us any reasoning as to why those gutters were recommended after we already had discussed and had 5 inch fascia gutters in our contract. They lied saying we sent an email telling them to bring OG gutters, we asked to see the email and it DOESNT EXIST, they sent us random emails that had nothing to do with that topic. Nobody told us anything over the phone about why they wanted to install the OG and we NEVER gave our consent to any of the workers to change our choice of gutter style. When they came and installed the correct wood & gutters (5 inch fascia), they put on crooked and dented gutters with bad oil canning from their horrible gutter machine. Even the guy that installed the gutters admitted it's most likely due to their machine, but the owner insists that is due to them not being able to mount the gutters properly because the eave of our house is uneven. It is obvious that the distortion in the metal along the front of the gutters is Not cause by the way they're mounted. We also got an opinion from a professional in this field (someone from a different roofing company that gave us an estimate that we should've gone with instead) and he said that distortion is due from bad material or a bad gutter machine. Also, When they first came out to give us an estimate on a new roof and gutters, the guy that gave us the estimate discussed with us that it was going to be a 2 layer tear off, for the two old layers of shingles. Then when they did a pre sight inspection with a different guy, they tried to tell us it would be an extra $600, acting like they just noticed the 2 layers, when it was already discussed and included in our total cost. Terrible and very dishonest customer service, don't waste your time/money with this company. Sean continuously avoids taking responsibility for everything that has gone wrong. It is comical to me that he can respond to our Yelp review but can't respond to our phone calls to "correct the issues". read more

They confirmed our appointment for our estimate, showed up on time, were quick to send the promised estimate and were extremely professional throughout. Despite being very busy, we were scheduled for repairs within two weeks of our estimate. Once completed, the technician brought me photos of my roof before and after on his phone so I could tell that the work was done correctly. Less than a week later, I received a thank you card in the mail for my business. Customer Service is a priority with this company and they do exactly what they promise! Noticed a leak in the ceiling. I called them from referrals and was able to schedule next day. Chris came out on time, wearing a mask(COVID) He checked out where the leak was and proceeded to check the roof. He took pics of the misaligned tiles. He said, It will take seconds to put it back. AER is a family owned business and it shows in their commitment and work. We had a couple areas that needed repair including a leak. They came highly recommended on social media along with a couple other companies. When calling for quotes we had one company come and give us a 'general' quote with nothing in writing. Another company wanted to charge us $100 for something like a '21 point inspection'. James from AER was on time, professional, and addressed both of our issues. He also found another area while he was up there and showed us pictures of each problem. He promptly sent us the FREE estimate via email. It did take over a week to get out to do the work when James had said just a few days but that's ok. There was a little communication issue when they arrived as we expected a knock on the door and for someone to confirm they were going to start work on the roof. We instead initiated the contact. Again, a minor thing. Marcos and Kyle arrived on time, started working immediately and communicated well when there were questions. They repaired a hole made by squirrels, a dry rot issue around our chimney, and cleaned out a couple valleys. They took pictures before and after and showed us. They even had my wife climb the ladder to see the hole lol. They fixed an additional hole found at no extra charge. They cleaned up after themselves and were very knowledgeable. We will use them again for future roofing needs. read more

They did a thorough job of walking through the property with us to review the statements made in our original review. The owners were professional and made it clear this is not the way they operate. I believe that based on the previous reviews. They took the time to listen and acknowledge what we went through with our experience. They were able to fix some of the issues and made things right. I'm thankful this company has values and truly cares about the experience of their customers. *************************************************************************** Our house is known as the "Tree House" on their website. We were really excited to use this company for a new roof and they made promises based on our personal concerns that they did not uphold to. We worked with Chris to finalize the job and set everything up. The work they did was "ok" at best. We had some work that my Husband found that they needed to come out and fix because their crew did not do it correctly. My Husband is not a roofer and was able to identify what was wrong, that is not ok. Below are the callouts on where they went wrong. Quality of Work Rework had to be done on the flashing, it was overlapped incorrectly. We paid extra for them to paint the areas the old roof overlapped (they did not complete this work, and left gaps of different color in obvious areas). Damage to Property When spray painting some of the roof material, they spray painted the front of our house gray. Our house is tan, so it stuck out like a sore thumb. Damage to one of the eaves that they broke. They had to come out and level it and re-bolt it. When they "fixed" it the worker sealed it with white cocking and did not paint back over it with the color of our house. One of our trees in our front garden was broken and they shoved it back in the hole to make it look like nothing happened. They left skid tire tracks in our driveway. When they redid one of the vents, they originally did not line it up correctly and we had to have one of them come into our house to realign. This also caused drywall damage that we had to fix. Cleanliness This is one of the broken promises. When Chris sold us the job, he assured us there would be meticulous cleanup as we have dogs. We found nails EVERYWHERE, not just individual nails, but full on wires of nails. We found their trash thrown on all over our property, not just material trash, but their snack/lunch trash. Shingles and material were left all over front, side, and back of the house. Communication As soon as we signed the contract, they did not provide any of the warranty or coverage paperwork. Chris communicated this would be a 2-day job, at the end of the 2nd day they were not done and there was no courtesy communication letting us know it would be an extra day. As soon as the job started, Chris basically ghosted us and did not check in or follow up on how the job went. We had to reach out to him with our concerns (which he still has not addressed and is still ghosting us). None of the workers even attempted to communicate the damage they did. This type of communication would have made a world of difference in the experience we had. Quoted us all new flashing in our quote, they used the old flashing. When we questioned this, he backtracked and said they only needed to replace certain flashing. They used our house on their Social Media page known as "The Tree House" and did not ask our permission. read more

This company subcontracted to have my old roof ripped off. That company showed up five hours late, and damaged the siding of my house and my front door trim as they haphazardly threw the old roof off. When the AER crew came out for the next week, they blasted either country or classic rock music from 8 am until 2:00, at which time they would leave for the day. Nice hours!! As a result of their extremely short work days, the job stretched out past the date they were supposed to finish, and into the vacation my wife and I had scheduled months prior, and had clarified when we scheduled the job. I notified the company of the damage to the house when they asked if I had received the invoice for the job, which payment I had already made in full the day before, the very first day we returned from the afore mentioned vacation. I rated a 2 star because we do have a roof on our house, but that is about the only positive outcome of this experience. read more
