Tsk, tsk, tsk. I was in contact with Antonio to have an estimate of service for popcorn ceiling removal. After asking if I had a survey, I requested from my home insurance agency. We set a meeting at my home in 2 days. The day of our meeting, he does not show. I call to see if he's running late. He tells me that his "boss wouldn't let him come" because I didn't have a survey (Yet, Yelp lists him as the owner.). He discusses what I sent as a clearance report. Multiple problems here. We were in everyday contact re this service estimate; he never mentioned a survey. When I mentioned that I'd had a room done already, he asked for the survey results--yet, we'd already made a service appointment. I retrieved what I thought was a survey report from home insurance and sent; he should have immediately connected to share the revelation that that was not the document he needed. More than that, he should have cancelled the appointment--or not made it in the first place, if that was a requirement. For me to wait and have to call him to understand that they've provided horrific customer service...SMH read more

I purchased a home in Orange in late 2014. The inspections went well, and I was satisfied with the purchase. Little did I know that the previous owners had hid/covered up a variety of issues that would, in my opinion, not make the home sellable. Fast forwarding to 2016, one of California's wettest winters in recent memory, we had a torrential downpour for nearly 20 hours. My home FLOODED. Yes, FLOODED. I was distraught, and set about the ways and means of getting my home estimated and repaired. Thanks to a lucky recommendation, I was put in contact with Angel at American Home Restoration. Angel is kind, communicative, and knew exactly what I was needing and requesting. This is where my remarkable 90% remodel of my home began. Angel was first and foremost extremely honest with me. He informed me that my home was NOT grounded, which could potentially cause an electrical fire. This caused my home to need a complete rewiring because whoever owned my home previously skipped crucial steps in flipping it, cause it to be a safety concern. The house needed a studs-up rewiring. Angel also informed me, that due to poor work done on my house, I had a "floating wall". Essentially, my house flooded because one of the walls in an addition to the house was NOT CONNECTED to the ground. This allowed water to pass through a thin strip of stucco, and straight in to the room. Angel's team was thorough, and through multiple photos and visits, I was able to see that the wall was indeed attached to the ground and repaired perfectly. Now why not, since I have to tear open EVERY wall, and rip up half of my flooring, just proceed with a remodel? This is exactly what I ended up doing. Angels team, once again, went above and beyond the call of duty repairing and renovating my home. Even though it came down to me renting an AIRBNB for over a month (mandatory, we were redoing the stucco and all floors), it was more than worth it. TL;DR Angel is fantastic. American Home Restoration is fantastic. 10/10 would recommend. They were courteous, always on time, thorough, and honest. They gave me a cost-by-cost breakdown of each room of the house, and why it cost what it did. I in no-way ever felt taken advantage of, and absolutely love the scope of work done. Also, a special shoutout to the workers contracted through American Home Restoration. You guys are fantastic and super nice. Or a toilet waterline had busted and we needed a cleaning because it flooded up the entire restroom all the way to the living room. They worked less than 8 hours to complete the cleaning and was able to insure us that everything would be fine. They restored the entire kitchen floor and made it look like there was no property damage. I have received excellent customer service from this company and I will always be in debt with you guys! Our pipes burst last summer and American Home Restoration was recommended by our home insurance to do the water damage mitigation and floor replacement. This was the worst contractor experience, ever. We were out of our house for a month, a majority of it due to the lack of coordinating by this company. Every supervisor passed the buck on who was responsible. They never responded to calls. They didn't have any of the floors in stock that they had in their demos. The floor had to be laid three times because they used the wrong glue and then ran out of the correct manufacturers recommended glue. Do not recommend at all. read more

I had a plumbing problem where sewage was basically unable to get to the street and was backing up under my house. I couldn't figure out why my house smelled sulfurous. Gross, right? After a plumber diagnosed the problem, he recommended AHR to us to remove all of the weeks of sewage accumulated under the house. First off, this was on a Saturday that they came, so that was amazing, and the great service just continued from there. They went above and beyond, even helping us with another issue that was totally unrelated. As a home owner, I've dealt with some pretty terrible companies in the past. This was the opposite. They were on time, clean, quick, and took care of a truly disgusting situation for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them. read more

Our kitchen floors were damaged by a leak at our refrigerator. We were referred to American Home Restoration from a friend. I was very apprehensive of contractors, because of our recent experience during our home remodel. The representative, Angel Ramos, just told me to trust him and the system. This company was AMAZING! I had a pipe leak that caused major water damage to my walls and flooring. It was bad, but American Home Restoration was able to come within 45 min, they extracted all the water from the floor and set up drying equipment to prevent further damage. They automatically knew what to do and reassured me that they would take care of everything. After speaking with Angel and Antonio I knew I was in good hands. They not only took care of the water damage, but they were able to make all the necessary repairs. I was so pleased with their work that I had them remodel my house. Everything from New kitchen cabinets, new pipe fixtures, granite countertops, flooring throughout the entire house, light fixtures ,new bathroom vanity, and a fresh paint job with accent walls. In July we came home to water damage! Toilet had overflowed which then affected our living room, bedroom, kitchen and hallway. We immediately called American Home Restoration who came in and did their very best to keep the flooding from damaging more of our home.
