Rayne took great care of us! Our lunch was good but the highlight was the giant cinnamon roll we all decided to take to go!

Sundance Grill is definitely going on my brunch favorites list. Parking was super easy, and they have a really nice outdoor patio that is pet friendly. They even brought my dog a bowl of water, which I thought was such a sweet touch. Brunch was excellent and they had great vegetarian options. I had a skillet with eggs and black beans at the bottom and it was so flavorful. The bacon was crispy, the eggs were fluffy, and the French toast was just delightful. The coffee was really good and my mimosa was perfect. Service was quick and friendly, and the whole experience was just great from start to finish. This is an easy five out of five for me and I will definitely be coming back. read more

Somewhat underwhelming and average is how I would best describe Sundance Grill. Our visit wasn't terrible-just OK. We arrived for a late lunch and after ordering , only saw our server when the food was brought out and later, the bill. No refills or stoping by to see if all is good. Our server spent all her time out of sight. I actually appreciate it when a busy server juggles a number of tables trying to keep everyone happy. We were the only customers at the time so there was absolutely no juggling. I had a mahi sandwich which was dry and pretty tasteless. My friend's breakfast dish was OK. I've been to Sundance mostly for breakfast a few times over the last many years. Not my go to place and this visit certainly didn't change that attitude. read more

Every once in a while we take a drive to the cascade Sundance for brunch and it never disappoints. Got the French toast this time and it was so good! Service is always good with the kind waiters they have. Going around 10:30am is always semi busy so we get everything pretty fast. read more

I have been coming to Sundance with my family for years, and I know exactly what to order. When you get the recommendations for the chef, please listen to these. That will take you far. Cute little restaurant that serves up kitchey-themed souhthwest food. Breakfast items were a few bucks higher than other breakfast places. My scramble bowl contained lots of potatoes. Only a few slivers of bacon, 2 eggs and cheese. Basted eggs were definitely overdone to the tune of over-hard. An order of toast is just one slice of toast. Pancakes were just ok. Kind of rubbery. The Santa Fe Chicken wrap was delicious. It was stuffed full with generous portion of fries. Service was attentive, polite and friendly. Bathrooms were clean but they were out of soap. Today was our first time here but it certainly will not be our last! My husband and I went here for brunch and were immediately greeted by the host. I had the aztec iced coffee and chorizo and bacon breakfast tacos. He had the taco Mary and Maryland crabcake benedict. Every forkfull was better than the last. Our server Chloe was so kind and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. She even brought me a cinnamon roll (since yesterday was my birthday) which was amazing! Sundance is apparently known for their giant cinnamon rolls and we can see why as they are made in house (as well as the majority of their menu). The cinnamon roll was drenched in a rich icing. We ordered the nachos and were disappointed that the queso is on the bottom not poured over the top of the nachos. We had to dig under the chips to get cheese that was already cold so congealed. Great flavor just an unfortunate presentation. read more

The main reason I am rating this 5 stars is because of the bartender Rain, who has recently become manager. I have been to this bar several times and Rain has always been hard working and professional. I have witnessed her handle even the most difficult customers with respect and professionalism. The bacon burger was decent! Seemed like more of a breakfast place, so I was pleasantly surprised. The French fries were amazing. One thing I thought was odd- they charged me $1 for a side of ranch dressing for my fries. I've never had that happen at a restaurant. Not a big deal, just thought it was odd. Hadn't been to Sundance in a few years and used to be one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots. Ordered my old reliable, Wiley's Scramble, noting the menu claims that all scrambles are made with 4 eggs. Wiley's tasted as good as I'd remembered, albeit slightly overcooked, but I'd be surprised if there were 3 eggs, let alone 4...most likely a 2-egg scramble. I asked the server (who was making himself scarce) about it and he just shrugged his shoulders and referred me to the menu. Potatoes were great, as always. Not sure if I'll give Sundance another try anytime soon, but seems they should either step up and serve a 4-egg scramble or stop with the false statement on the menu. read more

Smart on their part being open early because we were going to try Tupelo but they didn't open till 11 and we wanted breakfast/brunch just after 9 so we walked across the street to Sundance. This is always one of our go to's for great breakfast and they delivered again! Delicious food and healthy portions, usually always pair with a Bloody Mary and this time we also tried the mimosa flight which was delicious (blood orange was our favorite). Corned beef hash is my favorite test of breakfast joints, and this one is excellent! A lot of places simply open a can of corned beef hash or make their own to look like it can out of a can, but Sundance's corned beef hash has nice chunky corned beef. A+. read more

I've been kicking around Grand Rapids for a few days and took a shot on a Google recommendation for breakfast. Sundance is not super impressive visually. The patio seems nice but I sat inside to protect my ever-so-delicate-and-fair skin. That said, my food was fantastic. The Taos Skillet was perfectly seasoned if you like a little heat (and I do). I took great joy in cutting my yolks and watching that silky gold run over my dish, then washing it down with some coffee and a Pomegranate Mimosa. Plus it came so so fast. Went to Sundance with my wife today. I ordered an omelet with hash browns. First bite of my hashbrowns all I could taste is ammonia. The hashbrowns were rotten. The manager offered different potatoes which I accepted. She went on to tell me that there were several spoiled batches in the kitchen. My stomach has been upset all afternoon! Ok let me start with the good because there were a couple of good things. The latte was very good. Our waitress was nice too. She did not let us know their potatoes were breaded even after saying we have a gluten allergy, but apologized when it came out and we all realized it. The manager however tried to blame it on us! Why would I order something breaded with flour when I'm allergic??!! I mean I ate the eggs they gave me even though they messed those up too! We ordered poached but they came scrambled... and overdone... dry scrambled eggs! How are eggs dry??!! We had somewhere to be or I probably would have had them fix it. My daughters ate here when they were here last year and said they order was done wrong then too. We were visiting but when we come back we will not be going here. read more

We did a Wine & Canvas night hosted at Sundance. The chips & salsa were bomb! You get a large amount of chips and the salsa is delicious (not as spicy as I was hoping for, BUT it tasted fresh). My friend and I ordered margaritas (HAPPY HOUR!) and the bomb shrimp salad. The salads were HUGE. You definitely get your money's worth AND the flavor of the salad dressing they use is amazing. The lettuce was fresh (and not iceberg, it was legit mixed greens), as were the other veggie-toppings. The shrimp were not only plentiful, but a pretty decent size. Pleasantly surprised by Sundance. Sundance is definitely known for their breakfast but we stopped in for lunch. Promptly greeted by the hostess and shortly after we sat, our waiter was there as well. I went with the Reuben and it was tasty but average compared to other Reubens around town. The fries were crispy, which I liked. My friend enjoyed his quesadilla as well. My dad and I have never been to Sundance Grill & Bar before, so we weren't really sure what to expect. My dad doesn't like any spice in his food whatsoever, and we came around lunch time, so we ordered off the breakfast menu. Our server was very friendly, taking our orders after getting us water. We ordered a spiced dirty chai to share, and my dad ordered the eggs Benedict while I asked for the avocado toast. Our drink came first, and unfortunately I had forgotten to take a picture before diving on in. It looked like hot cocoa in a glass topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, but it tasted entirely of coffee with half and half and a subtle and pleasant whiff of alcohol (definitely a warm, sweet treat for coffee drinkers, though if you don't like coffee, it's probably not for you). Ironically, I didn't really detect much or any chai tea, but the ingredients do list coffee as a component, so I cannot entirely complain. My father really enjoyed it as well. When our dishes arrived, I traded one of my roasts for one of my dad's eggs Benedict (we each received two) so we each could try both. The hollandaise sauce was everything to the Benedict, followed closely by the Canadian bacon. However, I didn't think the poached egg on top contributed to much of the flavor. On the other hand, the poached egg on the avocado toast made a world of difference. Me and my dad really enjoyed the avocado toast, though neither of us particularly cared for the pico de gallo that came with it. That said, I've had better avocado toast elsewhere, but it did the trick well enough. Overall, the ambience was casual and allowed us to talk freely and enjoy each other's company without much effort, so the place left a positive impression when the meal was finished. Our waters were filled when empty, and our server was cheerful and made us feel welcomed. Portion sizes are moderate, not enough to stuff you but enough to just leave you barely satisfied by the end of it. read more

We have been going to the downtown location and this location for over 10 years and have recently started going again at least every other month. I have to admit, that we are creatures of habit and have rarely strayed from the breakfast quesadilla, tacos, huevos rancheros, bacomole or wet buritto. All of these items are good and are large portions. Lately, we've been trying the meal or special of the day or some of the scrambles. This is also a really great meeting spot if you have to drop someone off at the airport before their flight. Keep in mind though, that on Saturday and Sunday they are extremely busy, so order for the person who is traveling first. Great atmosphere, menu and service. Highly recommend it! read more
