Last few visits it takes over an hour of waiting to be seen even if I had appointment. They are under staffed always on the weekends and never apologize for the poor customer service. What's irritating is you can be waiting for a long period and some one comes in that's a 2 time a month regular and they will skip over you even if you had an appointment. UPDATED: after visiting several other salons in the Atlanta area that also do SNS, I can confidently say that my experiences at American have been much better. I have visited this salon twice since my original review. Both technicians were very careful with my cuticles since the original visit. Next time I will ask them to use the drill less to preserve my nail bed. Also, a note on price- they actually charge $30 for SNS which is the cheapest I have found it. I visited American Nail and Spa on a Saturday afternoon. It was crowded but I got seated fairly quickly for my pedicure. I wish they had more OPI nudes but I did find a Essie that was a peachy nude. My pedicure experience was average- not in a bad way, and it definitely was thorough- but I didn't like that they charged extra to use the callus shaver and callus remover. Most salons just have that as part of the service. A bit of confusion on my SNS manicure- my pedicure was all the way done and I still had to wait almost 10 minutes to get to a manicure chair. Was very impressed with the color pay out and the shape of my nails but my technicians induced some cuts around my nails( I can feel them when I wash my hands). I don't think this was due to cutting my cuticles as she was very careful but due to the electric drill getting too close. This was my first time getting SNS instead of gel. My pedicure was $26 and my SNS manicure was $35. I'm not sure if that's market price for SNS but it was a bit of sticker shock for me! Since there are so many different salons within a mile or two radius I think I'll try somewhere different next time I need a mani/pedi. read more

First off I didn't feel welcomed, yes they all said hello but after that it was mostly awkward silence. I asked for a Gel Full-set and for a pedicure. The process was okay but slightly painful due to his cuticle buffering, and my nails came out terrible. They had bubbles and were not properly shaped, they also had ridges in the paint. My toes were perfect but they ended up getting messed up after I left .... Not long after leaving I noticed how much I hated my nails. They looked like my little sister did it , and my toe was smudged from sister so I called letting them know I'd be back. Tell me why I go back to not only have the same dude fixes the ridges in my nails but after having my toes fixed it smudged again A DAY later. SCAMMERS! My family and I have been to the salon several times without a problem. Today, I dropped my teenage daughter off to get a simple acrylic set with a French tip. Once she returned home, we realized she was charged $80 plus CashApp'd a $10 tip to the tech. When I called back to figure out why she was charged so much, the manager stated she had a deep french tip polished on that costs an additional $20! She also stated the set was $60 at a medium length! I personally have had the same french tip style done on LONG TIPS at the salon BUT a Gel-X set (which is priced starting at $60) and only paid $75 total for my set! Also some of my nails aren't even. She didn't let me know that the price of my nails would be more because of the length even though they are my real nails, so I didn't appreciate that. Also, I got a polish change & she cut my toe nails too short. She did confirm my gel color after the first finger & I did appreciate that. Now, I appreciate the feedback. However , I know that a polish and lotion does not take 10 minutes. I've been getting pedicures done too long to know this . This will take 5 minute at the most ( which it did ) so all together the service would have been under 15 minutes .
