DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!! This is the last time I'll be coming here. Last night I had a gel manicure with a gentleman that I've never seen before. I picked out my colors so far so good, as he proceeded with my manicure he cut my pinky with his file, didn't paint my ring finger the color I asked him to. So I asked him to do polka dots instead with the other color I selected. That went wrong! And as I was getting ready to pay I noticed that my nails were still sticky and the lady tried to wipe it off. As she did that she wiped off my polka dots! My manicure looked pretty bad. She asked me to stay so they can fix them but they don't know how to say no to late costumers!!! I would have still been there if I had decided to stay. She wouldn't let me leave until I paid and as I left she said she would only charge me for a "regular manicure" instead of a gel. When I showed up the next morning a familiar face happened to be the one to fix them and did a great job. To make matters worse on my way out I asked if she had change for a twenty so I could tip the gentleman and she took the rest of of the money that would have covered my gel instead of the one she told me I would pay for!!! She told me she had never said such thing, I tipped the man and walked out and will NOT be returning!! read more

Ended up at this place because I decided to do my nails last minute today on Christmas Eve. Called them up after striking out at 3 other places and they were able to take me in, I was the first customer to arrive. Karen did a great job on my nails! Very sweet girl and the other ladies there seemed nice as well. Karen took her time and made sure that her job was done well. What I also loved that I have not seen anywhere else so far, is that, they have the exact matching color for your gel nails and your regular pedi. So I don't have to try to find or guess a similar color for the toes. Will visit this place again for sure :)))! Thanks!!! read more

Disappointing experience . Went in for a pedi ($18) and got Lani. While doing my pedicure she actually left me (mid scrub or in the middle of trimming my nails or whatever ) Although she asked me if it's ok if she finishes off the previous client saying she just had to add a sticker to her thumbs she actually reapplied her polish and painted on designs. She also later had to add a top coat for her all while she was working on me ! In addition to this , she also charged someone else's customer, she checked and helped another worker find stuff, towels etc all while I looked on in dismay. I finally told her straight up that I was a new customer and wouldn't be returning . I can do my own pedi and when I go get my toes done I want to feel pampered. She said it was ok because they have a high return of customers. In other words, I don't matter I'm no big deal becuz they have a high volume of clients and they don't need my business so I'll be taking it somewhere else. read more

She was very sweet, did an excellent job and did everything to make my experience an enjoyable one. I called a half hour before and got an appointment right away. The price was very reasonable. I decided to take my mom here on Mother's Day, as our regular shop was closed. I was able to make an appointment and showed up at our allotted time. Were were asked to pick a color and taken to chairs. We waited at least 15 minutes, while the owner was doing a facial and another pedicure. We were about to pack up when the owner said we were next. A man came to start on my mom, when we pointed out that a little girl, who was there before us was next. The owner said no she would wait. The mom of the little girl just shook her head and we apologized. Long story short, my moms feet bled in three places. He would grab her feet and only did one coat of polish. My pedicure was nice. My gel nails were done to satisfaction, but not the quality I am used to. In the end, we went to pay and the owner asked for cash. My mom didn't have the cash, and said she would pay with her card. The owner initially refused until I pointed to her window with credit card logos. She took the card for $1.00 charge. Would I go back? No. read more

Best nail salon in the valley. Every time I come here, I leave absolutely loving my nails. Lee pays so much attention to detail. I have terrible cuticles but he works magic and makes my hands look great. The staff is so nice and welcoming. I couldn't decide which color to do my nails so they let me try the colors before choosing. I usually call in advance to make an appointment and they always accommodate me the same day. Even today, when I didn't make an appointment they made sure I was taken as soon as possible. Highly recommend! read more

Like someone else previously said.. "I wish I could go into negative stars" I first get there, I asked for a mani/pedi and I was seated right away which was nice because I was a bit short on time.. One woman did my pedicure and did a nice job.. The owner, however did my manicure and I could not be any less happy.. First off she constantly kept insisting the gel dip would be better for my nails. I declined not once, not twice, but three times. Now I understand she's in sales and just trying to make the most of each customer but after my pedicure was done I was moved to a different chair. At this chair I noticed that she started to do the gel dip anyway, after I declined 3 times and then was upset that I corrected her! I'm sorry but I am not going to pay for something that I didn't ask for!.. By the time I was finished.. It was 3 hours later!!! May I remind you my sister and I were the only ones in there and I was on a TIME LIMIT.. I was so upset! Anyway as the day went on one of my nails BROKE!!! Nails are not supposed to break the same day of being done!! I called and complained and the owner insisted that I went in to get it fixed.. I refused and told her it was a waste of my time that I didn't have... She hung up on me and five minutes later she called me back and asked when I was going back in.. I refused and told her again that I will not be going back to her and she kept insisting. I told her again she was wasting mine and her time and she hung up on me. Very rude woman! American Nails have been a very nice place for me to get my gel nails done as well as my pedicures. They always try to accommodate me, even when I don't have an appointment. I love this place. There are a ton of nail places in Granada Hills and this is for me the best one. They do a great job. The price is very good. Everyone is friendly and sweet. Went in for a manicure and pedicure and left very unsatisfied. I had to cleanup peeling skin on my fingers. After having approximate two minutes pumice work on my feet, I had to go to purchase products to get my feet to a satisfactory condition. the worst place I have ever been too...I asked for an acrylic overlay and paid close to $30 bucks ?!?!?! really?!?!?! My nails are super short too. And not to mention the acrylic was applied super thick! They look unnatural and sloppy job on the nail polish...super disappointed. Me and my friend decided to get pedicures and looked on our phones to see what salons were close, had a good average rating, and wasn't very expensive. We decided to go to this salon, and were happy that as walk ins, they were able to take us immediately. One woman kept coming over while we were looking at polishes to choose, making us feel very rushed. My friend picked hers and was seated before me, by a minute or two. The woman who worked on my nails got up many many times during my pedicure. She was the only person to answer the phone (rang probably 5 times), and the only one to help people who walked in the door (5 or 6 customers), even though there was 4-5 people working. My friends pedicure was finished and my lady was still trimming the skin around my nails.... Keep in mind I was seated a minute or two after my friend. I did not appreciate being made to feel like every phone call or every person who walked through that door (some with appointments, some were walk ins) was a greater priority than me. I understand we were walk ins, but if you weren't going to be available to do a good job, don't tell us you are available. Also, when I get a pedicure, I look forward to the lotion massage. Me and my friend did not get a message, it was a weak lotioning of our legs. The pedicure was 18 frickn dollars, and was barely worth half of that. Plus since I was paying with my card, I had to pay an extra dollar, which I wasn't aware of. I think they should inform you ahead of time of an extra charge. They do have a sign on the wall, which is a plain sheet of paper printed out that mentions this charge, however it is halfway hidden by a plant, and completely un-noticed until she pointed it out. I did not tip, $19 dollars for the worst pedicure experience I've had. Me and my friend both, would have preferred to drive further, and go elsewhere. We will not return. read more

I love coming to this nail salon. Everyone there is so sweet including the manager Lani. I usually get my nails done long and coffin shaped by Ly who always does a splendid job and gives the best pedicures/pedicure massages. Their prices are super affordable and they don't try to up charge you for every little thing (which is what most salons like to do). The shop is so clean and peaceful and I've been going there for the past 3 months with many more to come. Five stars for sure! read more

WORST NAIL PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! Costumer service sucks sooooo rude!!! The lady with the glasses and is oldish was doing my nails or was SUPOST TO DO MY NAILS .. I was Gna get a pedicure so she put my feet in the water for about 10 min (I didn't complain once) she left me to go finish up someone else I didn't complain I didn't say anything about that ... Here's where I got annoyed ... I wanted a mani the pregnet worker who's name I don't know said she'll do a gel mani "it's better" I agreed to getting the gel mani. I WISH I GOT A REGULAR MANI WAISTED MY MONEY!!!! The lady doing my nails said my gel mani would Last me 3 weeks LOL it laster 3 days it started to crack and chip off worst job ever! I had a event to go to so I called back 3 days later to tell them I need my nails done I have a event to attend she said come in at 2 .. I was stuck in trafic I called back to tell her I'm Gna be late she hung up on me !!!! Can you imagine that !! Not very happy with what I received. I waited for a man who had not been there to arrive at the salon to do my gel acrylics and he just seemed rushed and unhappy with having to do my nails. He cut into my cuticles twice, making me bleed from one finger and almost bleed from the other. I had to repeatedly ask him to make my nails shorter which he seemed reluctant to do so I eventually stopped asking so they are much longer than I wanted. My nails look completely different on my left hand from my right hand. Some are more rounded, some are more squared. Some look much larger than the same finger on the opposite hand. At the cuticle, the acrylic part was not smoothed out nicely so you can really tell they are fake. The man also left a bunch of excess powder from the acrylic underneath my nails which I had to ask a different lady to remove from underneath because he didn't do it. The woman who rang me up also seemed upset that I wanted to use my credit card to pay and asked me for cash instead to which I said I only had enough cash for a tip. She then asked me how much cash I had, as if wanting to see if it was a good enough tip. I was excited to go to this salon because of all the good reviews, but am very disappointed with my experience. Maybe the man was upset from having to come in to do my nails which resulted in him not taking the time to make sure my nails were done correctly, but I was/am not happy.
