When the real issue was the capacitor! Which is only maybe 50 bucks at any hardware store. He tried to keep me away from the only true issue. See pics for proof But I will say this the owner contacted me and apologized for this awful experience. I really appreciate and respect that. He offered to reimburse me for this experience and I respect that. He looked into the issue and he took accountability and that's not common. So I really appreciate how this situation was handled. I will still warn everyone to always get a second opinion and be careful out there. I will be giving them another chance as long as this situation never happens again.

Gabe made us feel comfortable with our decision, gave us all the information we wanted, and actually drove out to our house multiple times to chat when we had additional questions and concerns. Is Aloha a smaller company, yes, but will Gabe answer your call when needed, yes! Fast forward install happened within a couple weeks of signing the deal. Minas was the head installer it seemed (all people are internal employees with Aloha and work is NOT contracted out, that was a big seller for us), and two other guys Rigo and Matt. All were super nice and very professional. Minas walked me through everything at the end, and major bonus points once he installed the piping going from battery to roof, he asked if I had paint that matched the exterior of my house. I did, and he then painted all of the piping! I know he did not have to do that, so that was a fantastic touch. Their representative repeatedly assured me in writing that there were "no upfront fees or deposit required" and agreed to prepare contingency language allowing me to cancel without penalty if the funding was insufficient. After months of follow-ups, delays, and waiting for management to finalize the paperwork, I was suddenly informed that the company had implemented a "new process" requiring a non-refundable $1,000 payment before they would process the application, engineering review, or other preliminary work.

I compared Baker to another company and though slightly more expensive, I went with Baker believing they were a larger and more reputable company than the other installer. Every step in the process, outside of signing the contract and making payments of course, did not go according to original explanation. And now....8 months after installation...I need a service technician to come inspect the system to see why my electricity keeps going in and out at night, possibly related to the battery. I was told by an agent that I would be charged $750 for the service call if it turns out the issue is not covered under the warranty. I have never paid $750 for a service call in my life. I have no way of knowing if what's going on is an installation issue and my trust in this company is extremely low after them not doing a single thing as originally described throughout the process. So disappointed. Go elsewhere.

We worked with TR Construction between August 2025 and March 2026 (8 mo) on a major interior…read morerenovation spanning multiple trades (structural, trenching, plumbing, electrical, tiling, drywalling, painting, etc.). We did demo, design, and permitting separately, so I can't speak to those aspects, but I believe TR's team can handle all of those internally as well if desired. Overall, I'll start by saying that TR has assembled a great team of thoughtful, knowledgeable, and thorough folks across all trades. I can see why they've been around for over 20 years. Along with this, cost was extremely reasonable and straight to the point, in contrast with the many other GCs we screened during our initial bidding process. From start to finish TR's team was highly responsive and easy to work with, and in several instances went above and beyond what I thought were our agreed upon expectations. Our finished home turned out very close to how we initially envisioned, with probably any differences being our own changing opinions around certain design choices. If I were to offer a few minor critiques, they would be the following , though I believe these are generalizable to the construction industry in general rather than TR, specifically: 1) Timetables/clear schedules can be an occasional friction point, though our PM, Joshua, Teresa & the rest of the scheduling team did their best to give updates when they could. 2) In general, I would strongly recommend homeowners to have a basic understanding of how different trades work. Throughout our process some hiccups did come up that needed to be pointed out by us. However, TR and team were extremely quick and thorough about rectifying once brought up - which we really appreciated. Overall - would highly recommend TR, his team, and his subcontractors, and I'm sure we will be working with them again in the future.

Chad, Ian, and the rest of the installation team did a meticulous job installing both the solar panels and batteries, all within a tight timeline.
