Amazing place, highly recommend. I have used the location in Costa Mesa before for my tire replacements because they have been so kind and checked & adjusted my tire pressure in the past. First time at the Tustin branch. Equally great service. I had a nail hole in my passenger rear tire so AAA put on the spare so I could drive the car to American Tire Depot safely. Juan was the team member who assisted me there and was very friendly. When the technician checked out my tire and decided the hole was small enough, he patched it for FREE!! I did some research and found little evidence that the tires they were trying to sell me were quality and well-known. My loved ones drive on tires I buy for my cars. In my opinion, there is nothing more important in life than the safety of those I love. Why are you trying to sell me an inferior tire? Please, if you are reading this, and you need tires, do your research and choose a company that sells Goodyear, Michelin, and other well- known tires. Please be careful about this place. read more

I was the first customer in line for a flat tire service and ended up waiting an hour just to have my tire inspected and be told I needed over $1,700 in repairs. I expected a quick check to determine whether the tire was repairable or needed replacement rather than a lengthy diagnostic process. My second issue was with communication and follow-through. They didn't have my tire size in stock, so I was told it would need to be picked up and asked whether I wanted to wait about 2 hours or come back later. I chose to come back and was told I'd receive a call when the tire arrived, but I never did. And they were already closed when I called to check. When I called the next morning, I was told the tire had actually arrived the day before but they didn't bother to provide an update. Overall, a disappointing experience. read more

I came in 10 minutes before closing on a Sunday to get a quote and recommendation for my tire had a nail. They informed me that they would have to take out the nail to evaluate the damage, but reassured me it would be no cost to patch it up. They were so kind to help me PAST their closing hours on their weekend, the service was super quick and they sent me off with a couple quotes if I ever decided to purchase new tires. 1 star -- Worst tire service experience I've ever had. I had a 12:15 PM appointment at this location and was told it would take about 1.5 hours. I didn't get my car back until after 5:00 PM so I was there for about 4 hours 45 minutes. I took the day off work for this appointment and had planned to take my dog to the vet afterward, but because of the ridiculous wait, I missed the appointment entirely since the vet closed at 5 PM. The lack of communication was infuriating. Every time I had to go up and ask for an update myself, I was told "it's almost done" or "we're on the last tire" -- only to keep waiting with zero follow-up. At no point did anyone come to me proactively to explain what was going on. At checkout, no one mentioned anything about my warranty or how long the sensors would last. When I got to my car, my TPMS sensors were still reading blank -- as if nothing had been done. I had to go back inside and bring it up myself. That's something that should be caught and communicated before you hand someone their keys. At the very end of my 5-hour wait, they finally mentioned that an employee had called off that day. That's fine -- things happen -- but that's information customers deserved to know upfront, not as a parting excuse after the damage was already done. This is hands down the worst experience I've had at any auto or tire shop. I won't be coming back, and I'd strongly caution anyone considering this location to think twice. read more

I've had tires changed here twice and both times the staff have been incredible friendly and easy to work with, and they don't feel like they're pushing extra services on you. Most recently I needed 4 tires changed and ordered them from Tire Rack to be delivered to the shop. This went super smoothly and their installation fee was cheaper than Tire Rack even quoted! Overall I'd say for the convenience, service, and location, these guys are a great choice. PRO-TIP: there is a plaza with lowkey hidden food spots that's a great spot to wait for your tires to get changed. Bonus, they have free WiFi in the waiting area at the tire shop if you need to do work. read more

I can't say enough about American tire depot. I went to the Tustin location on Newport ave. They are always so kind. I've been there several times just needing air in my tires. Being a single woman at least for me. It's super stressful and they always help me. Saturday, I made an appointment because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. They found the nail in my tire and patched it all for free! Just amazing! Highly recommend I didn't even purchase my tires with them. They came on my vehicle as a new lease. I made an appointment to patch a tire for my Tesla Model X. Screw embedded in the center of tire (not near wall). Arrived at my appointed time and told "with these types of tires, it needs to be replaced" which is completely false. He didn't even bother looking at the tire. Either he is grossly incompetent or even worse trying to scam me to buy a tire. I suspect the latter. Look I understand these guys have an incentive to sell you tires and it might not be worth the time to fix these tires. But just say "we don't it" instead of booking the appointment and pulling this bate and switch. The key red flag was not even bothering to look at the tire. Complete waste of time. read more
