Amazing place, highly recommend. I have used the location in Costa Mesa before for my tire replacements because they have been so kind and checked & adjusted my tire pressure in the past. First time at the Tustin branch. Equally great service. I had a nail hole in my passenger rear tire so AAA put on the spare so I could drive the car to American Tire Depot safely. Juan was the team member who assisted me there and was very friendly. When the technician checked out my tire and decided the hole was small enough, he patched it for FREE!! They could have totally try and sell me on a brand new tire but these guys are honest and professional. What a great company! Thank you, Juan! read more

Had a flat tire and had to pull over unexpectedly, but thankfully I found American Tire Depot. From the moment I arrived, the team was professional, fast, and incredibly helpful. They quickly diagnosed the issue, clearly explained my options without any pressure, and got right to work what was needed. A huge shoutout to the technician who helped us, super polite, professional, and genuinely awesome. You can tell they care about customer service and getting people safely back on the road. In less than 30 minutes, everything was taken care of and we were back on our way. Honestly, this level of service is rare these days. Fast, honest, efficient, and friendly from start to finish. I never went to their store, but on the phone they tried to sell me Cascade tires and another brand that I never heard of. I did some research and found little evidence that the tires they were trying to sell me were quality and well-known. My loved ones drive on tires I buy for my cars. In my opinion, there is nothing more important in life than the safety of those I love. Why are you trying to sell me an inferior tire? Please, if you are reading this, and you need tires, do your research and choose a company that sells Goodyear, Michelin, and other well- known tires. Please be careful about this place. read more

I was the first customer in line for a flat tire service and ended up waiting an hour just to have my tire inspected and be told I needed over $1,700 in repairs. I expected a quick check to determine whether the tire was repairable or needed replacement rather than a lengthy diagnostic process. My second issue was with communication and follow-through. They didn't have my tire size in stock, so I was told it would need to be picked up and asked whether I wanted to wait about 2 hours or come back later. I chose to come back and was told I'd receive a call when the tire arrived, but I never did. And they were already closed when I called to check. When I called the next morning, I was told the tire had actually arrived the day before but they didn't bother to provide an update. Overall, a disappointing experience. read more

In for luckily enough a patch of a flat tire! Andrew was great, got me in and out quick! Lucked out that there weren't many cars ahead of me! It was a free patch! Made an appointment online and brought my car in today. After waiting for over an hour, I was told the tires I ordered weren't in stock. System said they were in stock but they "just couldn't find them." I was offered a "discount" on other tires that would have still run about $400 more with installation. I'm returning my lease in 10 months so I don't need the best tires. Waited another half hour to get my tires back on. All I got was "sorry about that." Terrible business with zero respect for the customer. Will let everyone know to avoid. read more

I came in 10 minutes before closing on a Sunday to get a quote and recommendation for my tire had a nail. They informed me that they would have to take out the nail to evaluate the damage, but reassured me it would be no cost to patch it up. They were so kind to help me PAST their closing hours on their weekend, the service was super quick and they sent me off with a couple quotes if I ever decided to purchase new tires. 1 star -- Worst tire service experience I've ever had. I had a 12:15 PM appointment at this location and was told it would take about 1.5 hours. I didn't get my car back until after 5:00 PM so I was there for about 4 hours 45 minutes. I took the day off work for this appointment and had planned to take my dog to the vet afterward, but because of the ridiculous wait, I missed the appointment entirely since the vet closed at 5 PM. The lack of communication was infuriating. Every time I had to go up and ask for an update myself, I was told "it's almost done" or "we're on the last tire" -- only to keep waiting with zero follow-up. At no point did anyone come to me proactively to explain what was going on. At checkout, no one mentioned anything about my warranty or how long the sensors would last. When I got to my car, my TPMS sensors were still reading blank -- as if nothing had been done. I had to go back inside and bring it up myself. That's something that should be caught and communicated before you hand someone their keys. At the very end of my 5-hour wait, they finally mentioned that an employee had called off that day. That's fine -- things happen -- but that's information customers deserved to know upfront, not as a parting excuse after the damage was already done. This is hands down the worst experience I've had at any auto or tire shop. I won't be coming back, and I'd strongly caution anyone considering this location to think twice. read more

I got an unlucky flat tire while I was in the area and found the nearest tire place in hopes I could get someone to help me right away. Jonathan immediately took a look and told me they'd get right on it, and they'd give me a call in an hour and a half. I can't say enough about American tire depot. I went to the Tustin location on Newport ave. They are always so kind. I've been there several times just needing air in my tires. Being a single woman at least for me. It's super stressful and they always help me. Saturday, I made an appointment because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. They found the nail in my tire and patched it all for free! Just amazing! Highly recommend I didn't even purchase my tires with them. They came on my vehicle as a new lease. But I can tell you when I do need tires. I'm definitely going to purchase them through American tires. read more

I had noticed that my tire was leaking air. I went to Big O Tires, in the area and three hours before they were closing and they turned me away. Their customer service was not very great. So in the parking lot very worried and concerned, I contacted American tire I spoke with someone at the dispatch office named Luis and he was so kind and checked with the local location. I was looking at and Ricardo helped me. He was so kind and caring and made me feel like I wasn't a nuisance. They were quick and able to repair my tire for me! I would recommend them 100 times over. I used to come to this tire repair shop many years ago, and back then I thought it was a very good…read moredeal. They could patch a tire for about $20 cash, and the service was quick and convenient. At that time, I felt it was a great option. This time, however, my experience was different. I am not sure whether it is because prices have gone up, but the tire looked repairable to me. Still, they told me it could not be patched and that I needed to buy a used tire instead. Since I was already there and the work needed to be done, I ended up paying $60 for a used tire. What disappointed me most was that I originally thought I would be able to keep my old tire and take it home, because I believed I could patch it myself and keep it as a spare. In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. The service was done quickly, but the overall experience left me feeling less satisfied than before. Next time, I would definitely compare prices and ask more questions at a few other shops before making a decision.on the car

I relayed this information to my mom crossing my fingers that when she arrived she wouldn't receive a different answer (like most places) and Larry took care of her for FREE just as he said. My mom said that Larry and Tyler were incredibly helpful and very polite and friendly. Larry GREATLY assisted my mom by notifying her about another tire that was very low tread and also FOR FREE moved the low tread tire to the back of her car "in case anything happens before she can replace it". After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. To make a long story short - This is a great store, great service and if you're looking for a place come here see Mike or any staff member. First time at this store and it was excellent, fast, and friendly service. When I walked in Mike (I hope I got his name right, didn't write his name down and trying to recall from memory) was with a customer, he greeted me and said he would be with me as soon as he was done. As soon as Mike was done with the customer he gave me his full attention and asked how he could help me. I needed an oil change and tire rotation and he quickly checked me in. Less than five minutes later my car was in the bay getting service. When the oil change was done Mike went over some recommended services. Here is what really impressed me. Mike did not push for the "up-sell" he mentioned the recommended services once and asked if I wanted them. Mike did not pressure me into get it done now or give me an overly long explanation as to why I needed to get it done today, right now. Just honesty say "We recommended getting this done soon". I asked a few questions he answered all of them, never once trying to push for adding the recommended services. When I asked about my brakes he was honest enough to say I did not need new brakes at this time. I completely forgot I got new brakes at the Santa Ana store one year ago, but he saw my vehicles service record and said the brakes were fairly new and I did not need new brakes. I don't drive very much so I agreed with him. I agreed to the additional service (to be honest I do not remember what it was, a fluid flush or something like that, just know it was one of those things I kept pushing off until next time and didn't want to push it off any longer). He said it would be about another 30 minutes. They finished in less than 30 minutes. Check out was easy. Will be coming back for another oil change and any other service I need done I'll get from here. I will recommend this store to family, friends and anyone. When my wife's car is due for service, it will be going here as well. read more

I've been to this American Tire Depot, and the one in Lake Forest. They have treated me extremely well at both places. First, I don't get pressured with the upselling. You come in knowing what you want, that's what they are gonna give you. Now, some people think "I just want one tire, and that's it", not realizing that A) unless your tires are new it's not a good idea, and B) there are other costs besides the tire itself, some of which are out of the hands of ATD. I came in after blowing out a passenger front tire, and it was time for new tires anyhow, and got a full set. Not only did they find a set that was the same brand and slight cheaper, they also threw in the road hazard as complimentary. You see, when you come in to get one tire, you're not going to get treated like a king/queen, and you shouldn't expect it. When you get a pair or a set, they are going to do a little more for you like any good business would. Maybe it's because I understand tires and wheels, but they are a VERY reasonable place. Maybe not the "cheapest", but their work balances that out. I had the complete set done same day. Also, I highly recommend getting nitrogen inflation...it costs $7 a tire, and you get free refills. It's worth it. The only "con" I would have is that their waiting area is really small, and the sun shines directly into it, which isn't great on a hot day. But, I don't expect an oasis at a tire place, I expect good tires, reasonable prices, and good service. Which is what I have received EVERY time I've been to ATD. 2014 Ford Focus...4 new tires...with road hazard, TPMS, and nitrogen...total $425. And these weren't the cheapest tires, either...they were mid-grade as far as price goes. Every other place was quoting at least $550. read more

I had 4 new tires and wheel alignment done here at the American Tire Depot in Tustin. The sales service and price were good but the quality sucks. After installation, some of my tires were over-inflated and some under-inflated, and the nitrogen gas air (paid $38 for this) leaked about 1 to 2 pounds in each tire in 2 months so I had to put ordinary air in the tires again. The car was pulling left quickly after the installation but the sales person simply said the wheel alignment was OK and won't do anything (I am going to another shop to correct this problem.) I just realized that they also charged me unwanted extended warranty that I did not buy. read more

I called Ricardo at American Tire Depot in Tustin when my wife was in a jam and needed 4 new tires since she had a blow out on the freeway. Ricardo was extremely nice and was able to locate the 4 tires I needed in a reasonable amount of time and was about half the price as Costco. I agreed to most of the work because I wanted the vehicle to be safe for my employees to drive. Throughout the process, I received multiple phone calls, and with each one the total cost continued to increase. I kept trusting that he knew what was best for the vehicle. When I picked it up, Jaime mentioned there was a "funny sound," but told me the van was still safe to drive. The moment I left the parking lot, I knew something was wrong. The vehicle sounded absolutely terrible -- worse than when I had dropped it off. I immediately called him and turned back around. He said he would look at it, and later told me they had repaired the issue. From what I understood, it had something to do with the engine block not being put back properly after they took the car apart. Unfortunately, the problems never stopped. I ended up taking it to my regular mechanic, who I wish I had gone to in the first place. He was able to unravel some of what had been done, but ultimately, within four months, the vehicle fell apart completely. I would not recommend coming here for anything beyond tires. At the very least, I would strongly encourage getting a second opinion before agreeing to additional repairs. I have never had an experience like this, and I deeply regret trusting their advice.

I got a call back from Allen's tire, they said my rotors were dangerously thin and that I needed to replace them immediately. Said it would be 1K. I let them know that I didn't need it. I later got another call that there was an issue with my battery. Told them that I didn't need it replaced since my mechanic was going to take a look at it. I paid for the tires and headed over to my own mechanic. He checked out my car and said that my brakes and rotors were still fine as was my battery. Let me know that brakes should be replaced this year but that it wasn't urgent yet. It's disappointing that I was almost duped into services that I didn't need. As a woman I always get "recommended" services my car doesn't need. I get that I don't know much about cars which is why I take a mechanics word seriously and it's frustrating when that gets taken advantage of. Won't be coming back.
