FYI--I never leave bad reviews on websites, but my patience with this disgusting company is simply gone. This has been literally the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. We contracted with American Vision windows way back in 2019 to change all of the windows and patio doors in our home. At first, everything went very well--the installers were tidy and efficient. However, there were more problems with the workmanship and materials than I can probably even remember. But here are a few of the worst ones: 1. In one bedroom, they built the window "up-side-down," meaning that the opening was on the top of the window--some 40" above the floor, leaving no egress, per building code. They took care of that pretty quickly, within a week I'd say. 2. We immediately pointed out that the threshold vinyl that is on the outside of one on the dining room doors was curling up and coming off the frame. That has been "fixed" three times, the most recent about six months ago. It is curling again, and renders the screen useless, as it will not slide on the track. 3. While the service personnel were at our home on the second visit to "fix" the threshold, we pointed out that much of the caulking that was used on the outside of the windows was cracking. The worker said that the wrong caulk was used, and he would take care of it. I believe that about a week late, someone came out and resealed the joints. 3. This one is truly disturbing: We paid a premium price to have French Doors installed in our master bedroom. These doors have not locked properly since the day they were installed. We complained about them immediately, but they kept stating that we simply were not properly locking the doors, and after three or four calls, sent an employee out to show us what we were "doing wrong." As expected, their employee could see that the doors were not locking, and he made some adjustments that, for a time, seemed to work. Since then, they have sent workers out on at least three or four occasions to "adjust" the doors--even supposedly changed out the hardware on the last visit, only to discover that the new hardware didn't work either. Then, we were told that they would need to replace the doors, as they were not properly measured/installed in the first place. Mind you--there is about 5/8" gap between the two doors, so the safety latch isn't properly functioning--preventing the locks from actuating, and a nice cool draft (or hot in the summer) is constantly coming into our bedroom. Since the last visit, not only will our door not lock--the doors won't even close. We have a patio chair leaning against them from the outside to keep them closed. So we waited, we were told, for the doors to get manufactured for over six months. I called again, back in July or August to ask what was going on, only to be told that they "had no record of anyone discussing issues with my door." The next day, a customer service person, I think their service manager, called and apologized profusely for what we were dealing with. He said that they had let their former service manager go, and that he (new service manager) would take care of this personally, and get the doors ordered. He called back the next day and stated that the doors we ordered, with the nice cuts in the glass, were "no longer being manufactured," and that he would order new doors as soon as possible. This was back in August I think. He said that the doors would be installed in early November, around the 7th. The 7th came--no one showed up, and no one has called. Every time I call, I have to tell the same story all over again, and the person on the phone says that the manager will call me. I called again today, December 11, 2023. Let's see how soon someone calls me back. It just adds salt to the wound-the fact that every time I call, before the phone even rings, I get a text that offers a free "Home Improvement Consultation." Long story short (I know-too late)--DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME--YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

The windows are beautiful, even my neighbors have commented on how lovely they are. The installers were very polite and were done by the time they said they would be. They swept and used a shop vac to clean up but, be forewarned, a shop vac doesn't get all the little glass shards so you will need to do some additional cleaning, especially if you have pets or children. That being said, it is well worth the cost and inconvenience. read more

So glad I found American Vision Windows at the home show! Specifically wanted a window company and found a couple but I really liked what I heard from AVW. I had to work and left my husband home when it was time to get the windows installed and usually I here from him how bad it was but he was really impressed by our installer team of Julian, Colby, Nate, and Marcus. Our older slump block home didn't make the install east for them but you couldn't tell by looking at them and they cleaned up so well you can even tell they were here. Contracted this company thru a friend. After getting 3 quotes two of them very close we went with American Vision. BEST decision I made. Sales were no pressure and very informative ( already heard two others). Now to the meat of this. The install. They were on time, courteous and here for business. We had 19 windows replaced. What a team, Eric, Adrian, Justin, Jonathan, Marcus and Nate. They are poetry in motion removing the old windows prepping the opening and getting the new one in. They are efficient and really care about their work. The team finish of caulking wiping everything off and even vacuuming their way out. We LOVE our windows they look beautiful and look forward to the years of energy savings over our old single pane windows. This is the easiest remodeling project we've done. I am impressed with American Vision Windows. Before the new windows were put in I could feel a temperature change going from room to room. After the install there is no longer a change in temperature. The team that did the installation worked hard and long in the heat, they did not slow down at all. I'm so happy to have found this company! We needed a new back sliding glass patio door. The old one was really old and needed to be replaced. They sent "Rod" the salesman over and he got us all set up. He offered options, explained everything thoroughly, was not pushy in the least bit. Nice guy. Put down a deposit and placed the order. Of course there was a bit of time we had to wait to get the door, but that's everywhere post-COVID. Not their (or any business's) fault. No big deal, it was fine. The wait was just as Rod said. No problem. Then the door came in, they had the two installers come out. "Jullien" & "Colby" installed it. Nice guys, really great work. Highly skilled, very talented guys. I made an appointment a week and a half in advance. They were a no show and no call for that Saturday. I gave them a second chance and called them when I got back home to LA. Brittany said they had a power outage and that they couldn't get the info out to the person doing the estimate. Hmm. Anyway, the following Saturday he came out and we did a little FaceTime chat. Gave him all the specs and he gave me a quote. Unfortunately, the manufacturers they use only had one of the two items I wanted. It was either use one mfg. with one option, or use another mfg. with a different option. Neither one offered both options. Anyway, the quote was priced right in the middle of the other two quotes I received from other companies. Since this was a rental property, I went with the lower quote. This was my first house project of this scale, and I'll admit I was a bit nervous about this. On a recommendation from a co-worker I decided to try American Vision Windows. I was instantly impressed with my sales rep Elias, very personable, always joking, no pressure to decide that day like some other companies. I decided to have nearly every window and two patio doors replaced after the quote I received. It was about what I expected it would be and better than some other places. My sales rep and the whole admin staff deserve some kudos for getting everything right. I changed things several times, adding on or changing appearance options and it was never a problem, in most instances no charge even. The admin staff kept me updated with emails. Almost exactly a month after the measure was done, I had my install. 2 crews over a day and a half. The install crew wasted no time at all, as soon as I met the two leads: Josh and Ivan and showed them the house, furniture was being covered up, tarps placed on the floor and old windows being removed before we even finished looking at the entire house, a matter of minutes. The crew was always very respectful and well mannered, asking permission for everything or finding me for any questions. I have a dog that was very curious and though I tried to keep her locked out of the way, she kept finding her way out. The entire crew was very careful to watch out for her when she did this and were very friendly about it even making friends with her which doesn't happen easily. They finished almost everything on the first day and showing up almost the same time the next morning, knocked everything out in less time than I was told it would take to finish what was left. Extra kudos to the crew leads Josh Blackwater and Ivan Garcia for their professionalism and all the questions I had for them, which they never had any problem answering. Again I can't thank the rest of the crew enough; Yoddiel, Andrew, Hector and Jacob for their courteousness and the kick butt job they performed. Total job, 15 windows and 2 sliders. Anlin brand, and I couldn't be happier. The home is so much quieter, I noticed my fridge running which I normally don't hear over the other noise from outside! Sorry for the delay in posting my review, but I have been busy admiring my beautiful American Vision Windows and show off my windows. I love my windows by American Vision Windows. The crew showed up on time and immediately got right to work. The guys were polite and respectful of me and my house. They took very good care not to disrupt anything of mine. We did our best to have a clear path for the crew to work on the windows inside when that stage of the installation was to he done, but there were a few things that we couldn't move or take down as we didn't know how to and we had told American Vision Windows this up front about this and the crew did what needed to be removed or taken down and they put everything thing back as they had found it, we didn't need to remind them or ask for things to be put back. The crew completely cleaned up after themselves, they left no mess behind for us to deal with, everything was definitely cleaned up. I love my windows, the windows are beautiful, they open and close so nicely not like the old windows that we had to struggle with two hands and muscles to open and close them. These American Vision Windows are absolutely the best and I would definitely recommend American Vision Windows to my family and friends, these windows and the company are the best. Everything went as expected and we could not be happier with the amount of proactive communication we received from the AVW team. We replaced all our windows, two sliders, and replaced a slider with a french door. All work was done in two days that was estimated. Job and Robert were courteous, hard working, and very neat. They worked around my need to continue to work from my home office and made sure that I had an opportunity to secure our pets. I am especially appreciative that they installed the smart lock we purchased on the french door.
