Update: 10/06/2020: Called this morning again, and just wanted to cancel the whole project. However, Sergio expedited a call back, we're set to have the install October 16th. As positive as I'd hope this experience to be, I'm frustrated, and hoped with the credibility of this company, especially the history of its owners, my fears of another poor situation just may manifest itself. I will keep the faith that this will be a positive experience. Just know, we the customer shouldn't have to work this hard to get great service. Our money doesn't grow on trees and we work just as hard for what we have as anyone else. Having our efforts abused by lack of contact is in the very least disrespectful to us as hard working people. Their product, as explained by Craig, was superior to the other vendors we reviewed. The doors were delivered within the promised timeframe and they were exactly as specified. I live in a townhouse community with about 90 mostly identical units. AVW is the only approved vendor for window replacements. The Anlin Del Mar Series is the only brand/style permitted. I was told by our association that in exchange for an exclusive deal with AVW they would offer residents no-haggle competitive bids and backed by their superior customer service. Salesman Jack come over and presented the obligatory drawn-out sales demonstration complete with mock up windows and a heat lamp. Since I'm limited to only one brand and style I was anxious to get the price. That's when Jack dropped the bomb on me. $10,000. My neighbors paid less than half that amount! He let me stew for a moment... Don't worry we have a special this month, no sales tax or labor charges. With dramatic flair he crossed out numbers and recalculated the bid to $7500. I called Mike Jackson, the Director of Sales for AVW and questioned the dramatic price difference. He stated that in 2016 they had a substantial price increase for the exterior bronze coating of the window frames that our association requires. In January of 2017 AVW had a across the board price increase. He said much of that was due to an increase in their insurance costs particularly Worker's Comp. Mike agreed to take $1100 off my quote. He said he called Anlin and also spoke to his company. Because we're an association he wants to keep us happy. Going forward Anlin has agreed to a lifetime warranty on the coating. Before it was only a 15-year warranty. I agreed to the price, albeit begrudgingly. The installers did a great job and the windows look fantastic. However while cleaning up the construction dust the following day as I ran a soft cloth around the frame of the new slider window. White paint was coming off the frame and on to the cloth exposing the bare surface of the frame. I looked at my both my next door neighbor's AVW slider frames and their frames were properly finished. Other neighbors who had windows installed by AVW confirmed the same. I reached out to AVW about the unfinished frames. I was directed to Ryan who told me that the frames only have a primer giving customers the option to paint the frames the color of their choice. I explained that my neighbors had finished frames and I would like the same. He flatly refused and told me I would need to paint them myself. I know this company is a leader in the industry and has a lot of positive reviews. But I didn't appreciate the smoke and mirror game, inflating the price and then offering a "discount" and then having to follow up with the director of sales. And further disappointing was them failing to address the issue with the slider frames. So in closing, shop around. I wish I could have. I am now serving as the chair of the architectural committee on our board of directors. I am working to open up the bidding on window replacements. read more

We had other companies come in and say they could beat any price and when they quoted us, their price was literally double what AVW quoted. The installation crew was incredible. My story with AVW starts with KNX 1070. I guess repetition works! The choice per the radio advertisers was Potato chip guy or AVW. I checked reviews on both and AVW blows their competitors out of the water. Here's the irony with me and reviews...I won't call a business without a substantial amount, but at the same time( in the back of my head I am extremely skeptical and wait for the business to make me a believer or reconfirm my skepticism) I first did the initial phone call and from the get go...they seemed quite professional. They sent over a salesmen names Nicholas and that's where the start of the substantive 5 start reviews began to verify themselves. He was very knowledgeable, respectful, professional and mellow (I called a competitor who also sells Anilin and the guy should be on an ad for a stereotypical slimy used car salesman who went for the hard sell at my house and then the non-stop psycho calling afterwards) As soon as somebody starts the hard sell or slimy sales tactics with me...I go tone deaf at that point. You could offer me the product for free and I still wouldn't say yes! I don't think Nicholas could ever be one of those people even if he tried...he doesn't have it in his DNA! After the initial visit and all of his ZERO PRESSURE and all informational appointment...he never tried or called to be pushy. All he did was what every classy individual does, offer the information at hand and then do a standard follow up saying I'm available in case you need help or have any questions. Oh questions...I had! No matter how many times I communicated he was even-keel and after asking and asking....never did he say are you ready to sign or move forward. Once I felt satisfied and comfortable...I reached out and said let's do this. The funny thing is that I was saying yes to Nicholas not even the windows!!! He explained the whole process and indeed it played out accordingly. Fast forward to install day. (One thing you should know is that I'm in property management for the last 25 years and I have met and dealt with a lot of contractors...so I definitely have a filter and eye for both ends of the spectrum). The whole crew showed up on time with everybody in uniform(these details matter to me) and ready to tackle the big job. From the get-go of properly saying hello to their pleasant body language..I knew they were going to be awesome. It's at that point I met Jesse the foreman. Wow wow and wow...this guy was a superstar in his whole presentation and as I saw him throughout the day working...he's a well oiled machine that works as smooth as silk!! It was a decent size job and these guys did it as if it was turning a switch on and off. I have yet to see a crew as detailed, professional, thorough and consistent in a while of being in this industry. They were second to none and just absolute rockstars! They kept cleaning while working and they installed with such detail and precision. They genuinely care and like what they do and it shows, but that Jesse oh he's something else! I know a very chop chop and trained hand when I see one and this guy has two of them...the guy deserves 7 out of 5 stars and the rest of the crew are awesome as well! The quality of the product and even more so the stellarness of the crew and their finish and detail. They left the job site beyond clean(you could lick ice cream off of the surfaces they cleaned) I got many windows and in addition surprised the family by replacing the sliding door with a bi-fold 3 panel door. Ever since the crew left the combination of their super mega awesomeness and the transformation of the house especially the sliding door into a bi-fold..the whole fam has been smiling ear to ear. I have been involved with construction so long that I am somewhat Jaded and for someone to impress me requires monumental level of service and/or care ...these guys did and delivered on both...I'm impressed!!! I want to start by saying that I had 11 bids for the replacement of a giant sized bow window and had only 4 companies state that they could step up to the challenge. I ended choosing this company due to quality of customer service provided by Amir. He went out of his way to have the person who supervises the jobs to come out to visually inspect and provide his professional experience to see if the job can be done and how it will be accomplished. He assured that it could be and it's been done before. Through my research, I found out that most window replacement companies have a limited type of licensing with the state. This company knows also about construction. With such a complicated window replacement project on my hands, they put me at ease that I will be happy with the result. They did not disappoint. The day of the installation, there was a big hiccup with the size of the window, too big. It has been my experience with any remodeling project, problems are inevitable. Isadoro, the crew man onsite, delivered an amazing resolution and he skills were obvious to my husband and I on how he tackled the challenge. We were very impressed. He is definitely an asset to the company on how he quickly he solved the issue. He deserves maximum credit for salvaging the situation. They cleaned up after themselves superbly. It was supposed to be a one day project, that turned out to carry over a 2nd day. On the 2nd day, it was a different crew and they also showed us they knew what they were doing. My husband knows a bit about construction and he assured me that their knowledge and skill was impressive. I appreciated Albert and his brother taking his time with finishing the job correctly. Jack, the sales staff member that came into my home was very friendly, knowledgeable, had a good sense of humor and was charismatic. Explained in detail the benefits of one brand windows over another. We decided on retrofitting all our windows using vinyl windows. I did my homework and made numerous calls and visits with other manufacturers and/or dealers of window brands. After the windows were manufactured per our window measurements, they came out beautifully! The turn around time from sale to install was approximately 7 weeks. The installation time was just 5 to 6 hours for 10 windows. I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the installation team were sent out to do my installation on the day of their Christmas Party! Therefore, they worked extremely quickly and did missed a few things, but I pointed it out to the supervisor and they took care of it right away. Nevertheless, the installers were professional, friendly and made every effort to protect any damage to my home by covering my hardwood floors and carpet. I'm sure if the installation was scheduled on another regular work day, the installers would have been more thorough and careful in their installation of my windows. Nevertheless, the end result was the windows made our home really stand out beautifully and we received numerous compliments of how beautiful they look on our home. The noise pollution is down significantly, the low e glass makes our home more energy efficient and the seals on the windows make a significant difference which don't allow for outside dust or insects able to get through these beautifully made windows! I was not going to leave a review but I keep hearing their commercials advertising their exceptional products and services and wanted to share my experience because that is not what you get. I had some of my windows replaced a few years ago with great results so I decided to use them again to replace my remaining windows. The products are fine and the installation seems great so far, this review is about the installers. Three installers showed up and within 30 minutes of being at my home one of the installers decided to use my restroom without asking and choose to do this when I was not inside my home (I was downstairs propping our doors open so they could bring up the products and tools more easily). When I got back in my home I didn't even know he was in my restroom until he came out of it a bit later. I am not sure how long he was in there but it wasn't quick so we can all infer what he was doing, gross! I was pretty shocked when he walked by me to go out my front door and did not say anything. I did not say anything because I was trying to control my growing anger. I found a comfortable spot on my couch where I could see the work area and spent the rest of the installation there watching to make sure noting else happened. Later on he asked to use the restroom (this is his second time going) and then his buddy asked too. I already had to clean it when they left so I said it was ok. The other installer (the obviously more experienced one) never asked. Just to note I have 5 interior doors that I purposely closed before the installers arrived so that first guy had to open a door to even find the bathroom and I doubt he found it on the first try so he probably opened a few of my closed doors while he was alone in my home. I waited for the company to contact me to ask how the installation went (they did this last time) but no one did. I wanted to share my story with someone above the person who answers the phone but there isn't any contact info on the website. So, I wrote a letter and sent it to their office waited for a month and didn't receive any response. I finally emailed that letter to the scheduling coordinator (I think that's who he is). He was open to hearing my experience, apologized, and said he took care of the problem by firing the guy, but my impression was it wasn't a big deal. They are expensive but I was fine paying that for the quality products and professionalism I received with my previous windows. I wouldn't use them again, there are plenty of other companies out there that can install the same products in a professional manner. read more

Update; After I could not get a response from J and our phone call as well as and other avenues, I called my Representative Craig and he got in touch with the "powers that be" asap and he called me back this morning. The other places where I asked were not monitored. Craigs response was very fast; my installers were vaccinated. I should mention that in my case, on the day of my install, I would "not" have required my installers to have a mask on because I am vaccinated. But later, I needed to find out because I was feeling ill and my neighbors asked about American Vision windows masking requirements because of new information on how easily the delta virus spreads. Craig found out my installation crew which were Cory, Henry (I knew was vaxed) and their workmates were vaccinated. So now let me give you a review and you ll notice I have changed it to a 5 Star. I absolutely was extremely satisfied with their service and they did a superb job. These men are sooo skilled, they work very hard but coordinated, careful and streamlined. Please don't think you can hire anyone to put these Anlin windows in correctly but American Vision. There is just too much involved. Henry even informed me of one of my sills being damaged. I would not have known that without him letting me know because the window was very high. So I very satisfied, and I see that they are offering a discount right now, so take advantage of it. I was informed that American Vision Windows does not require their employees to be vaccinated but there is a mask mandate if they are not vaccinated and I suspect they will modify to keep their customers safe and happy as more research reveals what industry standards are the safest. I would hire them again but if I were to have windows installed today, but because of recent changes, I would request a vaccinated crew only like I had. I think that they are just as concerned for their safety as well. Always go back to your Sales Rep to see all your order through. When Craig came to my house, he wore a mask even though I had mine off and assured me that they have their customer's safety in mind first. He never took his mask off. We chose American Vision Windows to replace our original aluminum frame windows and sliding glass door. We also changed one of our windows into a second sliding glass door. AVW was kind enough to wait for us as we were waiting for a different company to finish building our deck before the sliding door could be installed. After this, there was a long delay as AVW tends to have their schedule full, we were only able to get an appointment about a month down the line. Carlos and Eric were assigned to our project and they did an excellent job. They were willing to listen to our requests and make sure that the job was done correctly and neatly. My plantation shutter fell out of the window. The shutter was on the window directly above my bed. It struck my head and my arm on the way down. Thank goodness it missed my elderly 3 pound chihuahua. I called the company and they said they would send someone out to look at it in 2 weeks. I had no idea these shutters weighed 20 pounds and were installed with screws that are only 3/4" long! My wife and I had AVW installed the windows in 2016. We loved the windows and recommended to some of our neighbors. Recently we found one of the sliders was misaligned, and could not have the top sash lock latched on unless you give it a little push. I contacted their service department, and spoke to John Paul, we quickly set up a service visit. A few days later a technician came to inspect the window and confirmed the problem. With John Paul's help, another visit was scheduled. The second time came two technicians, Jessie and Miguel, who were able to adjust and level the window. I thought they would probably have to replace the trim and the frame, but they did not. They got good skills and fixed the problem by placing a shim under the window to level it up. They also touched up the trim, and cleaned the window, so the window would look just like new. All in all, I found their employees courteous and pleasant to talk to. The services were punctual and efficient. Most importantly, the lifetime warranty give us peace of mind. We will not hesitate to recommend AVW to more friends. read more
