American Water recently installed our water softener and RO drinking water system, and we are thrilled. Both are great, and we have noticed a huge difference in our water for drinking and bathing. I first contacted American Water a few months ago as we were trying to figure out how to get a new loop installed (for a home we ended up not purchasing). Everyone that I spoke with was extremely kind, patient, and helpful with all of my questions. I know almost nothing about plumbing, etc. and they did a fantastic job helping me to understand. And they were kind enough to answer my calls and even call me back just to answer my questions before I had planned on giving them any business. We've interacted with at least 5 people from this company, and everyone has been phenomenal. Recently we worked with Brittney to decide on what system we would be purchasing. She was also very clear, informative, and patient with all of our questions and concerns, both before and after our installation. The estimate meeting doesn't feel like a sales pitch but an informational meeting to understand the value of their Kinetico systems. You're not pressured to buy anything, just to consider the value of American Water and Kinetico. We came to Texas with no experience for water systems. We had no idea until after buying the house that the water system was defective. These folks came out, took the time to inform/educate us in a professional, no sales pressure way. In the years that have followed (5+) I have had reason to call them back only twice--once for the normally schedule maintenance and once for an intermittent issue we were having. They have VERY professional, very customer focused and just generally fantastic. Many firms no longer have a very customer service mindset. They say they do, but don't really--focused rather on just keeping the customer satisfied. I have found these folks to be truly about me as a customer and making sure I am as informed and empowered as possible. Some issues where other firms might see the opportunity to make additional revenue rather than help the customer, they chose to help me. If you are in need of a water system, call these folks. Donald Weitzman installed our water softener and RO system a little over a year ago. It's been a great value to us and is one of the best things we've done for our home. Our hot water heater, shower's/tub's, dish washer and sinks look great and now require considerably less cleaning effort...night and day actually. I can't say enough about the RO system, never have to buy bottled water and love cooking with it. Our small appliances, like our iron, humidifier, and coffee/tea maker never have issues due to the high water quality. Called Donald a few weeks ago as I had a few questions on the overall system and wanted to get replacement filters for the RO before we actually needed them. He came out to the house answered all my questions and gave me a tutorial on how to change the filters when needed. I was really impressed with the with the service and installation of my Kinetico water system. My parents have been American Water customers since they moved to Pflugerville many years ago. When we moved to Pflugerville from Leander in Jan. I knew were we going to need a water softener system. My first and last stop was American Water. Romaldo Guillen came by our home and gave a demonstration (which included water tests and an tablet power point presentation.) He described all the Kinetico water systems and answered all my questions. I also purchased a drinking system. Once we decided on a water system Nathan came by and installed the water and drinking system. The installation was very clean....and that's coming from a very picky person. When our last softener finally gave out, I began searching for one with a reputation for reliability and dependability. When I contacted American Water, they scheduled me with Romaldo and he called to verify the appointment. He arrived promptly and couldn't have been any better. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my and my wife's questions. He showed us all the options and explained each in detail. We chose our system and it was scheduled and installed in just a few days. They did an outstanding job and replace all my outdated plumbing connections. I'm very impressed with the very high quality service I've received from American Water. Romaldo was superb in describing the different options available to us, and gave me all the information I needed to make the best decision for our family. The Kinetico brand that they offer truly is the best in class from what I could tell after extensive research. After selecting the water softener and filter system we wanted, the installation crew was faced with an unexpected and extremely labor-intensive job because they had to dig a trench through my whole yard (which includes a large amount of rock bedrock), but it did not dent their work ethic or professionalism at all. We just purchased our first home and it happened to have a water softener installed. I found an American Water sticker on the side and decided to give them a call. We wanted to get the system checked and serviced since we did not know when it had been completed last. Julian came out and was fantastic. The office told him we'd never had a softener before and he explained absolutely everything from how it works to the condition of our unit and the benefits of having it. We've had to deal with a lot of service companies since purchasing the new home and it was very refreshing to have such a wonderful customer experience. Very positive experience with American Water and with Romaldo, who helped us get everything sorted. We only called because our neighbor had recently used American Water and had nothing but good things to say about them. We don't regret it. We got a nice Kinetico system installed and we were even able to finance it which greatly helped, of course. We are still waiting for our RO system to be installed. American Water was waiting for more units to be shipped and they were delayed due to holidays. Other than that, no snags of any kind. She guided me through my needs and helped me pick the system that best fit my situation. You can tell she is passionate about her job and cares about the folks she deals with. We recently had another Kinetico installed (unbeknownst to us our previous model didn't have a dechlorinator which ruins the resin in the tank). Kinetico is a fantastic brand and American Water is one of the only providers in Central Texas. While waiting for our install date (approximately 2 weeks) our sinks, dishwasher, toilets, shower, etc. all accumulated hard water stains. It was definitely something we were happy to install. Our representative and the installer were both very professional, we just got the system install for a failed unit (another brand) after 17 years. While I can't comment on the system yet both of the people we talked with were very professional and able to answer any questions we had. We had a Kinetico water softener and K5 filtration system installed in November of 2016 from American Water and we are extremely satisfied with both the feel and taste of our water. Folks at American Water have maintained large system on my well since 2001 and just installed upgraded, new system. Installers were great, definitely went above and beyond. Service is consistent and good. Last tech was especially helpful with some easier maintenance tips. Always on time and courteous. Folks in the office, especially Laura, are great as well.
