Bought a set of 4 new tires here about a year ago. This morning I found that one was flat; put air in it & called to see if they could work me in. They said come over now, there's nobody waiting. In short, I'd picked up a thorn through the side part of the tread -- not repairable. So they replaced the tire, under warranty, with no charge whatsoever. I was in & out in less than 45 minutes. I originally came here because a friend who drives all over the USA recommended them for their nationwide presence, service and warranty. I've purchased 3 sets of tires through this company, not this location. If you read this locations reviews they are known for grossly miss calculating waiting times. I just needed a leak repair on a tire I had just purchased 5 months previous. I had even paid extra for the premium insurance. I was told on the phone it would take an hour and 45 minutes. When I arrived an hour later it was up to 2 to 2 and a half hour wait. They said the 2 and a half was highly unlikely though. I said Okay and took Uber to another location to do some shopping. After 2:50 minutes I called to see why I hadn't heard from them. They were very rude and matter of fact. They said, "we're busy, come pick your vehicle up if you don't want to wait, or we'll call you when it's finished!" I had driven 40 minutes to get there with a nail in my tire so obviously I didn't have any choice but to wait. I told them I definitely wouldn't be purchasing tires from their store in the future. At the 3 and a half hour mark I finally got a call saying the tire repair was complete. Evidently once the tires and extra insurance are paid for you kind of get pushed to the back of the line at this location. I never had this problem at the location in Colton where I purchased the 3 sets of tires and I noticed reading the reviews at the Salinas location, they don't have people complaining about grossly miss calculating wait times. From my house it's the same distance to Salinas so I will be giving them a try next time. read more

I called and spoke w/ Cory who was pleasant and courteous on the phone. He told me that if I brought the car in right away it would be abt. a 45 min. wait. I came in for a tire rotation in about 5 min. My car was pulled into the bay approx. 45 min. after I arrived. It was done in about 15 min. One hour wait for a last min. appointment just before the 4th of July not bad. Returned the following day with my mother to do a tire rotation on her car. It turned out her front two tires were really bald. Decided to change all four tires. We were out within the hour with some new Yokohama tires. The only con I could think of is we always purchase the warranty but don't ever seem to be able to take advantage of it. All in all, I think I got a good deal plus I also got a rebate ($100 + $30). read more

We buy most of our tires from America's Tire Company. I live in the San Jose area, so we usually go to the ones closer to us. Every location is pretty much the same. All the employees are really nice, friendly and helpful. I was on my way to Monterey and needed to stop by to have my tire checked. I had a nail stuck in my rear tire. I stopped by earlier at another tire shop (won't mention name) in my area and was told it would take 1.5 hours (they didn't even look busy). I have been here numerous times throughout the years. I came when I had a truck about 10 yeas ago. I would comparison shop even prices vs Walmart or Coscto. They were able to get me in within a few days of when I needed to come in. I got tires here last year in December, 2 weeks later I got a flat tire and had my car towed there, they fixed the flat at no fee since I bought my tires there. I kept having to fill up my front tire every few weeks and finally got frustrated with it and brought it in. Turned out I had another flat tire, the nail was still in there so was a slow leak, they fixed it up. Sometimes it does take awhile and you have to wait, first come first serve. One lady was getting so mad at them because she had waited about 15 minutes and was yelling at the guy. Only place I will go to buy tires. They will rotate and balance your tires whenever requested. They will match any advertised price. My only knock is trying to get me to buy a new set too early but that is on the buyer to understand you just won't stop as fast as a new set. Just slow down and your tires will last longer. read more

I went in to have my tires rotated and manager Shawn Huff recommended a new set of tires for my Lincoln Navigator. I was reluctant but he was convincing by showing me the 3/32 of tread left and diminishing braking distances. The next day I was on the freeway (680 North) in the rain and had to stop suddenly. I had to purchase a set of tires from the Fremont store because I couldn't get them quick enough in Gilroy where I recently moved . After getting my tires installed they were out of balance. I went to the Campbell store a few days later where I normally have gone in the past and had them rebalance and left there with them still not in balance. So irritating! On the next available day I went to Gilroy and Wesley took care of me that articular day and got the tires rebalanced perfectly. Prior to coming to here I've been dealing with a tire with low tire pressure. Wheel Works said they checked my tire and nothing was wrong. A few days later the dashboard was alerting me that the tire had low pressure. At this point I'm angry cuz Wheels Works lied and said there was nothing wrong with it. I doubt they even checked it. Anyways, I came here and a man named Josh R. helped me out. I told him the problem, we walked outside and by the time we got to the car, he already spotted and showed me the plug, which was rotting! This was my second visit to this store. I received a good price and service on my previous visit a couple of years ago. On this visit I had reserved a set of Continental tires for my appointment. When I dropped off my van, I noticed an additional charge of about $70 for lifetime service which he hadn't explained. I had to ask to find out that it was optional but I let it go since I had already finished the transaction. I indicated that I would like a text when it was done and left. After an hour and a half I returned to find it finished but they had not notified me. When I got my key and prepared to leave, I noticed that the tires were Pirellis, not the Continentals I had paid for. These were tires that cost less and were rated for 10,000 less miles of estimated life. When I asked the salesman he said that it turned out they didn't have enough of my reserved tires and when I asked why didn't they call me first before switching them and why didn't they tell me before I was going to leave, he said, "You'll have to ask the manager". I'm 58 years old and have been around long enough to know when I'm getting the run around. The manager obviously knew what happened but only offered a refund of the difference and an apology after I caught the switch. I used to recommend this place to others based on my first visit but cannot recommend this store to anyone based on this experience. All I expect is to be treated fairly and honestly. read more

Good prices and very large selection to chose from. The staff is all very helpful, polite, and professional. I bring all of my vehicles here and even when I get a new car and haven't needed new tires for it yet they still will rotate the stock ones for me at no charge. Not sure if this is common practice (I don't do it often) but I think it's their way of showing appreciation for people that bring repeat business. Also, just because you have an appointment doesn't mean it will be quick, they are very busy and your appointment gives you priority but there still might be a wait before they start. I use the time to work out at the gym across the street or wander through Home Depot. read more

I brought a tire in for a small nail hole patch and of course, the salesman tried to upsell me for all new tires. He measured the tread multiple times to confirm it had enough tread before he removed it from my car and then took my tire in to do the patch but then came out and told me they couldn't do it because there wasn't enough tread. Total scam. I'm not going back for any of our vehicles because they are just there to rip you off. Be careful there are much better local tire shops. read more

I came in because during an alignment pre check at another garage the Mechanic noticed the tire was separating from the rim. The best and most unbelievable thing that happened to me in a long while. I went to buy some gifts in Premium Outlets (about 35 miles from where I live), and coming back to my car I found a flat tire with a nail in it. It was already late (after 6pm) and going back home seemed highly unlikely. I somehow got the car to America's Tire and there a miracle happened! The store was just cleaned and about to get closed an hour after the closing time. However, the guys willingly decided to take me in. They re-opened the shop, took the tire of the rim and did a 45-minute service, even though my tires were not bought or have any warranty with America's Tire. The work took 45 minutes. If I could give more stars then I would. How often do you find an auto service provider that consistently provides excellent service? We have purchased several set of tires from the Gilroy store. Emmanuel always goes the extra mile to find what we need at a very fair price. He even called manufacturers to find a set of hard to find tires for our Viper. I called your Gilroy location on 6/27 and was immediately helped by Evan. He was professional - quoted me several options and told me what products were under certain warranties and what weren't. He gave me rating information on specific tires and also explained what he had in-store. I finally settled for a new set of Michelin brand tires and asked what time I could come in to get those put on my vehicle. I made the appointment with Evan and was in the store just 5 minutes late of my appointment. I was checked in by another employee ( I don't know his name but he was equally friendly as Evan). This employee checked me in and also informed me that there was a rebate deal going on, which I was happily surprised by since it would save me some money. I was told I would be only waiting about 45 minutes but the appointment time ended up being over 1.5 hours. I didn't want the wait to bother me and knew I had to be patient during this process. I just sat outside and enjoyed the time reading a book. Thanks Gilroy America's Tires for always taking care of me. I went there last weekend to get my mom's car checked out, because her low pressure light was on. The employee told me it would about 45 minutes to an hour to check what the problem was, so I decided to just wait there. I waited there for over two hours, and they never called my name to pick up the car, there were even times when I was the only one in the waiting area with the employee that checked me in. He would just sit there. It wasn't until another employee came in and noticed I was sitting there for so long, and decided to ask which car was mine. I told him, and he told me that my car was ready two hours ago,and they were suppose to call my name, but they NEVER did. I've experienced better service from them. read more

All the good stuff the other reviews say is true. I leave this place astonished every time. Every other tire place I've been to tries to rip me off, doesn't honor their warranties, tries to sell me stuff I don't need, etc. This place goes out of their way to give me a good price on what I need.
