I had a spare tire that needed repair. Walking into the store I was assaulted with music blasting out of the service bays. I went in and asked Nick what could be done about the tire he explained everything, we went outside to look at the damaged tire. Once outside I complained about the loud music. Nick said that I should like the music. I don't know, actually I do know what happened to Americas Tire. and it's a shame. Americas Tire used to be a great shop to go to. Service was excellent. I'm back! (For the Free Rotation/Balancing) and they finally got WiFi. It's not crazy fast, but it works, so they get full stars. Reasonable wait time and super professional staff (Nick) who I could tell worked hard to move through customers quickly, without making them feel like they were being brushed off. Next time I will set an appointment and test how good they are at honoring them. By the way, the tires I bought were installed perfectly and have performed well. No repair shop has ever pointed out any issues. Don't go cheap on tires! Your life depends on it!....for the next six years. read more

My original buying experience was great about a year ago but since then the center hub cover to 2 of my rims had fallen off 4 months after install and the other 2 were almost lost . I went in in Ocrober of 2021 and they tightened the 2 that were left and ordered me 2 more to replace the ones that were lost. Fast forward 6 months later to April 2022 and I still dont have them. They keep telling me they are on a ship in the port and it will be a couple more months. Absolutely unacceptable. If I were buying new rims afain would it take 6 months to get them I highly doubt it. read more

I had heard through the grapevine that America's Tire would fix a flat for FREE! Well there is that old idiom that 'if it is too good to be true, then it is!' This is another case of that where I fortunately found my tire flat in the garage and not stranding me on some side of the road or worse having my car become uncontrollable at speed and flipping it! I took the flat tire off the car and fortunately my car has an emergency spare which I replaced it. It had to be a Monday when I took my flat tire down to see if America's Tire could repair it. I even took the time to fill out the on line reservation. DO NOT DO THAT!!!! When I got there this morning right after they opened it was controlled chaos! The line went out the door and the next person got waited on if you did or did not have a on line reservation! So don't give all that information away for nothing like I did! People were trying to cut in line and when it came to my turn I took him out to my car and showed him the damage to my tire and asked if it could be fixed. Without blinking he said the tire was not repairable and started to use strong arm tactics to get me to purchase another tire. Really did not like that at all and so I decided to leave and went to Wheel Works! Am sick and tired of bait and switch games. What a waste of an hour of my time! They did not even try to take the tire off the rim to see if it could be fixed at all! Buyer beware! Will not return there ever. As a female, I always feel like I need to double check the facts I'm given in situations regarding cars & maintenance. So glad I did because the guys here were trying to feed me a bunch of rubbish. I'm so disgusted with this tire shop, I think I'm still steaming from my experience there this weekend. I urge you to take your business to another America's Tire Co, because there are great ones out there. Myself and other members of my family have all had issues with this particular location's workmanship (including mismatched tire tread!!! -- hello, this is a TIRE SHOP) which has all been corrected at another location. Other reviewers have spoken about free repairs, which are nice and all, but if the work is sub-par then it means nothing! The bottom line is that the guys here are quick to misinform a customer just to come to a resolution, rather than actually take the time to get things done the right way the first time around. It's laziness and a sales-focused attitude. Not to mention, there was no apology for giving me false information even though you got caught! Never again will this location get my business. read more

I hit a pothole at 5mph and took out my left front wheel and tire. As the wheel repair place was putting on the repaired wheel and tire, I was notified that my left, rear tire had had its sidewall ripped. Another special order from my go-to tire place, America's Tire. Another failure to notify me when the tire arrived. Another " no appointment for a week". I am now 2.5 hours into what will easily be a 3 hour wait for a single tire install. A customer service model that only serves the business is very unfortunate. Let me come in, take off the wheel, put on the spare and call me when you are ready. That's just off the top of my head. Half a day to install one tire. Uh-uh. No wheel alignment service. Do make an appointment to ensure FAST service. I went for tire rotation & balancing and I was in and out in 15 minutes!! WOW! so FIVE STARS for the rotation service Once, I walked in without an appointment and it took them almost 1 hour to complete the rotation & balancing! The suck part, I don't think they have wifi... I wish they will in the near future! I got the whole set of tires last year and of course, I got sold on their "warranty" programs. The sales people here are hit or miss. I actually already knew which tires that I wanted when I went there and they said they would "match" the price with Costco, so that's how I got "sold" since it's closer to where I live. The only bad thing was that, as they were browsing for the particular tire that I wanted the salesman was trying to "CHEAT" me BUT I "CAUGHT" him with my "eagle eyes" (I have small eyes, but I pay attention to details!). Basically, the tires that I wanted happened to be "CHEAPER" than the "costco" price (yeah, I couldn't believe it!) BUT he wanted to give me "costco" price, sneaky ehhhh??!! WTH!! All in all, after the darn warranties and lifetime rotation & balancing package, I still saved some $20 compared to costco...so I was pretty happy "money wise".. it's just I don't appreciate the fact that the salesman was trying to "cheat" me with the price. After routine service of the car - was asked to change both rear wheel tires - also I was told to change it quickly with rain in the picture. Got a quote at car dealer which seemed too high. Based on feedback that I got from my work colleagues, called up Americas (Mountain view) over the phone and asked for a specific set of Goodyear tires for my car. The tire was not in stock and that I was asked to place an order. I was told to hear back in 3 days. I called back after a week; My records are pulled up fine with the phone number I gave when placing the order Was put on hold and the rep tells me that Americas tried to reach me on phone multiple times (which was never the case - not sure why they need to lie about it). Also mentioned that the selected tire cannot be procured and they had a Bridgestone alternative instead!! read more

I needed to start off 2015 with a 5-star review and here goes (because it was greatly deserved): I can't rave enough about the great customer service I got at America's tires. When my tire light came on, I made an appointment and brought in my car. They were quick to find a nail in one of the original stock tires and told me my tire wasn't punctured, so I was free to go. While waiting, they provided me a complimentary bottle of water. So nice! A few hours later, the tire light came back on. I called them at closing at 6pm, but the guy told me he would wait for me and wanted to make sure I was safe driving before closing up shop. I decided it wasn't that big of an issue and brought it in the next morning instead. The next morning, they took my whole tire off and dunked it in water to figure out where the leak was coming from. When they couldn't figure it out, they gave me a brand new tire for FREE! It wasn't even a tire I bought from them! I had bought only 2 tires from them originally. The leak was coming from my original stock tire. What amazing customer service. I will definitely go back to them to purchase tires from now on! read more

Oh no! My tire pressure indicator turned on! I was no where near my regular America's Tire location, but luckily I was near this location. This location was busy on a Monday afternoon, but I was in dire need of some air in my tires. I drove up to the parking lot and entered the store to request an air check on my tires. I was politely greeted and was told to drive up to the air check station. While waiting for about five minutes, I was greeted by Nick who was going to assist me with my request. Nick performed the air check on all my tires and got the indicator in my car to turn off. He performed his duties with the utmost professionalism! Thank you Nick for all your help! Rebate was a scam. They said I'd get $100 back, I submitted all the correct info on their website, and then a week later got a notification saying the transaction couldn't be confirmed and I need to fax the original receipt. FAX?! Also, a week later, I don't have the receipt anymore. This is clearly a scam where they just hope you don't keep the documentation necessary. I wonder what percentage "can't be confirmed." Hmmm... I had an appointment, but still had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes, and it took more than 90 minutes from my appointment time until my tires were mounted. They texted me to say the car was ready, so I came back. It wasn't ready for another 20 minutes after the text message. They gave me back the car with the mounting goop all over the wheels and tires. Needed to clean them after. According to the on-board pressure monitors, tire inflation on the car as they gave it back to me with the new tires ranged from 28 psi on one of the tires (looked visibly under-inflated) to 38 psi on one of the other tires. After properly inflating my tires and cleaning my wheels, it does appear that the tires were properly mounted and balanced. No issue there. So, two stars instead of one star. Next time I will try a different place. read more

Wouldn't recommend coming to this establishment for tire replacement, repair or any form of tire service. Came in at 0930 hrs (4 hrs earlier than my scheduled appointment) and was told by a front end associate "It will take 2.5 hrs." Informed him that I could kindly wait patiently. It's almost 1300 hrs and they haven't even pulled in my vehicle. Their amazing excuse, "We are understaffed." Observing multiple customers come in and getting their car serviced while watching 4 associates in the garage just standing around makes me concerned about what kind of business is being ran. read more

I have a mixed review. This was my first visit to America's Tire. I got a free tire rotation. I wasn't expecting this, was pleased and mystified. HOWEVER, about ten days later I checked my tire pressure and found it to be all over the map: LF35PSI, RF46, RR46, LR43, . The cold tire pressure on my car ought to be 42PSI all around. I adjusted the pressure, and the pressure in those tires has not varied since then. The boys at America's Tire over-inflated three tires and let air out of the fourth. I had naively assumed that guys who work at a tire shop can put air in tires. Now I know better than to make such assumptions. read more

Got a flat on a Monday in a car with no spare tire. Thursday afternoon and the tire coming from another store 35 miles away is still not at the store and car still not driveable. tire was covered by protection plan purchased with the tires. staff at the mountain view store is terrible. been on hold for total of more than 1/2 hr. Ever since Nick left and went to the Brokaw location customer service has SUCKED!!!! I had an appointment at 12:30PM today and decided to come in a little earlier and they were able to help no problem! Ron was the rep who assisted me. He gave incredible customer service not only to me, but to everyone who walked through that door. This was my first time at this location and I noticed that all the workers were quick to help anyone that came in. Their service was quick but you didn't feel rushed. They made your their priority when it was your turn but also made sure others didn't wait too long. They were able to replace my two front tires within an hour as they estimated. Today, I took the afternoon off work to get new tires installed. Alas, they ordered the wrong tires, so they'll need to re-order the correct tires, and then I need to take yet another day off work, and come back to America's Tires to get them installed. The low rating here is because this is the SECOND time this has happened to me at this America's Tire location. (The exact same thing happened last year.) They've repeated the same mistake. Apparently, getting new tires at this store requires taking TWO days off work, because the first day off will be a mistake, sending you back home. I specifically asked them to double-check that the tires ordered were correct! I even described last year's incident and requested that they be extra careful with the order. Unbelievable, right? Extremely time-consuming. This store doesn't realize the impact their tire-ordering mistakes cost the consumer in terms of time. read more

I was with my food buddy in Mountain View eating sushi. We get back to my car. Turn the ignition on and the low tire light pops up. So I got off the car to check the tires and found that the front passenger tire had a screw. So I checked my iPhone for the nearest tire shop and to my luck i was near America's Tire. When we got there we were greeted warmly. Great service. They took a look at tire and said that it was fixable. If the inside of the tire had been destroyed beyond repair. If you're looking for new tires, consider this place. Raul and the team are friendly, helpful, and very efficient. I had searched the Internet looking for a single replacement tire for my SUV. They had a reasonably priced, generic one available. Their website calculated the final price based on the quantity, etc. So, it was fairly straightforward to stop in and arrange for the replacement. After waiting about 20 mins, Raul "hooked me up". Since it was a single tire, he went out of his way to physically confirm he had it on hand. I dropped off the rim and came back in about 1.5 hours. I always had good experience with America's Tire, I found their staff is both professional and friendly, even for a free flat tire fix. Recently my TPMS sensors died so I went there and they replaced the sensors for all four tires at a very reasonable price. The work was done within 1 hour, very happy with the service. read more

My fiance is a car enthusiast...and that's putting it mildly. So usually when he tells me he really likes and/or trusts a car place, I take his take his advice. He has taken multiple cars here for new tires, rotated tires, busted tires...etc. Each time, he comments on the customer service and efficiency of the staff here (he especially likes that he never has to wait). In fact, he went in yesterday and told me AGAIN how much he appreciates the customer service, especially that of their manager, Raul. Kinda weird how the timing works out because my mom got a flat tire today. She was essentially denied service by the place she got her tires originally placed. My fiance called America's Tire, explained the situation, and Raul got her in almost immediately. He helped her/us and gave her honest options without upselling her. It sounds dramatic, but Raul really helped us out today and is someone you want on your side when you're having a car emergency. read more

A tire shop is the last place I thought I would write a review for. But this place and this man (Jeramie) gave me such great service that I just had to!! I show up without an appointment. Jeramie walks right out with me and looks at my 2 tires with cuts. He asks if I hit a curb? I say yes, and that I saw an old man carrying really heavy bags and almost falling to the ground, so I tried to back up as fast as I could... and ended up hitting the curb. So we come inside to figure out the price. Turns out I didn't purchase their free certificate program which would have allowed me to get free tires, regardless of the reason. So my option was to pay the difference of what the warranty covered (by mileage). He then said: "thank you for doing a good deed (helping the man). We believe in honoring that and doing good things in return. We are going to cover the 2 free tires and give you the certificate program for all 4 tires." WOW! Boy was I thankful. America's Tire, Thank you for your outstanding service and here's to doing more good for the world and being kind to one another. read more

Today was a total let down. All the employees except for two, the Caucasian gentlemen in red that's helping customers as the walk in and the young tall tech, all others didn't seem like they have 2 cents about work. I am a long time and loyal customer to this location. Today was full of disappointment. I brought my truck in for rotation and rebalancing. They rotated my tires but didn't balance it but I requested for both. The truck was back on the floor already. I asked one of the employees if they can check. He asked the Hispanic tech as he was walking in and he nodded. The truck went back up and one of the techs kept eyeing me the entire time, balanced one tire, and brought the truck back down. They handed the key back to me and parked the truck at the end while there were empty spots near the front. This is not the courteous and professional service I was use to. I have 3 personal vehicles that I bring to the Mtn. View location for tires. This was a total let down. I explained twice that I had my axel replaced and alignment done, the vehicle still has road vibrations. The staff did not seem to care. This is not acceptable and they should not be representatives of America's Tire. They are working for a reputable company and their service is what keeps the business going. Who cares if they lose my business, but if customers one by one experiences the lack of service like I did, America's Tires will no longer be operating. I hope management looks into this and yes I am a paying customer with paid warranty. read more

I was on my way from work in Mountain View and my tire pressure light came on right before going onto the freeway. It was almost 5:30pm and I noticed that America's Tires on El Camino was still open. I went in and they were busy. They called their other store in Palo Alto who had less of a wait. They arranged for me to go there, and when I arrived at the Palo Alto store the young lady was expecting me. I will write a positive post for that store as well, but wanted to commend the Mountain View team for their exceptional service. read more
