I took my wife's car recently for a flat tire (several nails in it) and they took me in without an Appoinment. The mechanic was helpful and honest with his assessment of the other three tires. Great service. I ended up buying two new tires (for the rear) since the two front ones were still in great condition. The entire job took about 2 1/2 hours on a day that they were extremely busy. This used to be my go to location for all my tires need, sorry to say it will be no more. I brought my car in for a tire puncture repair, after waited two hours, they told me it wasn't repairable due to the angle of the puncture, I knew the area of the puncture was well within the repairable area. I left the place and searched on yelp for a reputable tire shop and I fond "Tire Central" in San Gabriel. They patched my tire and had me out the door within ten minutes, without any charge !! This is my advice to all, be smart about it, it's your time and money. Don't take no for an answer and make sure to shop around. I'm glad I didn't buy in the scam of America's tire. read more

Regardless of where you purchased tires from, America's Tires provide tire rotations free of charge. Since I always had pleasant experiences with America's Tire, I decided to swap out my Continental run flats here. The process was super quick. They scanned my tires and the machine showed 2 with low tread depth. I had an appointment at 8:30am and I was done a little past 9am even though they quoted me an hour wait. They have an inside waiting area and some outdoor seats as well. Prices are fair, online appointment system is convenient, and service is efficient. This is my second visit with a 40 minute wait time +25 minutes that it takes to change the tires. First time on a saturday, 11am appointment at 1130 I asked what time will I be seen. Technician replied with are you in a rush, or do you have somewhere to be? I made an appointment why am I being seen 40 later. No one gave me an update. Why have a m appointment if your not going to stick to them second time same ordeal 40, 4pm appointment, didnt start working on my car until 440pm. I arrived 15 minutes early and the lady very friendly but needs to communicate time better, stated oh just waiting for someone to finish and well start on you car. Whats the point of an appointment. I found a big nail in my tire and my hubby said to go here for a free fix. You'll have to wait if you don't make a reservation ahead of time. I believe there are just ton of walk-ins all day long. However, I'm willing to wait for a free patch! That's why this place has good service and is always busy. There was a nice, air-conditioned waiting room for those that want to wait for their service. Love their fast service! I usually go to the location in glendora or west covina but decided to try this one. The parking is a lot harder and you have to find street parking and can only drive into their lot from one direction. America's tires employees are always friendly and even though there was a long line, I did not have to wait too long and my car was serviced even faster (he estimated it would be ready in 3 hours but it ended up being ready in 1.5-2 hours!). I couldn't make an appt cause it was all full so i did walk in and was still able to get serviced! Jonas helped me and took care of paperwork and payment really fast. I've been to a few locations in NorCal and SoCal for tire pressure checks and always had a great experiences. Their service is top-notch regardless if you own their tires. Though I'm a customer, I suggested this place to a friend who needed a quick tire pressure check, and the employees were still incredibly efficient and attentive. I had a sudden flat tire after work a while ago. I called at 5:25pm to ask if they had any availability for a tire repair/replacement, and the employee said they could get it done if I arrived before 6:00pm (closing). I arrived at 5:40pm and they checked me in right away and informed me I would need a replacement. I thought it would take a while since there were several people in the waiting area, but I was out of the parking lot by 6:00pm! Was super appreciative of the efficient and attentive service. read more

A screw in the tire brought me to this store. It has been around for a long time in Pasadena and they are my go to place for anything tires. Tyler was ready to go at 7:50 ( they open at 8am) and in a very friendly and professional way, he checked my phone number, inspected the car and told me that i was lucky because the screw was in the middle. I got checked in on the double and to my nice surprise, they would repair( lug and patch) for FREE. He said that i should be in and out in 45 minutes. I bought a brand-new set of four tires for my Ford Ranger. When I took my truck on the freeway, the front tires were vibrating at a speed of 70 mph and got worse as I accelerated. When I got home and checked the tires, I noticed that they did not put any weights on any of the four tires. I called the store and they told me to come in to fix the problem. This is bad business and also dangerous when you are driving. I wonder how many people they have done this to so they can probably save money and time. They may be hoping that the average person does not notice. If you have bought new tires at this store recently, I would check to see if they properly installed the tires. read more

My car hit a small pothole while driving 25-30mph and i feel a little vibration and humming sound. I went there to balance 1tires that got hit and ask them to check my rim.they said my tire out of balance and rim is good. I drive home and still feel the same.i went back there and tell them.the guy said maybe you hit another wheel.i only hit 1 wheel but lets balance all of them,and 3 tires is good and 1 tire out of balance again .and they keep saying everything is good.drive home and still feel the same.so i google it a lot of people say maybe the foam in the tire is loose,so i went back there to check the foam,it cost $56 to check for 1 tires and foam is good.and finally they told me i bent on my rim. Last few times I was here, I had a great experience and left 5 star reviews. That all changed this week. I had an appointment for 11:15 am. I showed on time. I was made to wait in a line for 25 mins. In the past when there was a line, the manager would come out with a clipboard and check you in with an appt. They weren't short staffed. When I got to the desk, I asked why t hose of us with appointments had to wait in line too. The staff member without looking up said nonchalantly, "It happens." I was pissed. I said that I changed my mind and will go across the street to Americas Tire Depot for my tires. He smiled and said, "Ok." An apology would have gone a long way. America's tires told me that if I buy the protection I can get my tire replaced if there are any issues. I have two new tires from them with the side all rubber coming off and they are refusing to replace. They say it's cosmetic. Cosmetic on a tire side wall falling apart?! You can even see the red dot from the manufacturer on it to confirm it's new. I have never need such bad tires not to mention that they don't want to replace them. My car was in desperate of new tires and I did not want to pay an arm and a leg at Longo. My fiancé browsed around and found that this location had the tires that was good for my car. I went in on a Saturday to get new tires and there was a little waiting time. Everything was great! I drove off very satisfied with my new tires. I even went on a road trip to NCAL that day. Fast forward to a couple of months later, I hit a curve and popped one of the back tire. I called America's tire to see if my tires were still warranty and luckily it was since it was fairly new. I went in and the tech checked out my tires and prorated what my tire values were and I ended up just paying the difference as the price of the tire went up. My experiences here had both been very pleasant, the staffs are super friendly and helpful. I've always had a good experience at discount tires when I was in San Diego so I figured I would come to this location as I understand they're the same. I made an appointment however when I got there, it took them 30 minutes JUST to check me in and then an hour to complete the work. I was quite annoyed that I had even bothered to make an appointment consider considering how long it took. When I had called to ask about pricing the guy told me over the phone that they priced match Costco and would do the installation for whatever Costco charges, which is nothing. Costco's installation is free. When I got there, however the guy argued with me that he wouldn't price match Costco for the installation Only the whole total price of the tires because he said they add on other fees like disposal. I mentioned that disposal is an a state fee and not an individual facility fee and however, he was arguing with me basically about taking $20 off the $1000 I was about to pay. So whatever, I paid their $20 installation fee but it irked me that they told me they price match when they really don't . Poor business etiquette as they have now lost a customer for life. read more

*** ALIGNMENT SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE - ONLY TIRE REPLACEMENT SERVICE *** During one of my recent routine maintenance visits, I was told that I need to change all four tires after hitting 150,000 miles and I began to do a quick search on tire shops in Pasadena at 4:30 PM. Originally I stopped by American Tire Depot just across the street from America's Tire, but the staff didn't wear masks and I decided to visit America's Tire instead. I came in the shop at 5 PM and two customers were ahead of me. The staff had masks on and worked pretty efficiently. I was told that as long as I come into the shop before 6 PM closing time then they can still get the tire replacement job done. I was also told the job will be completed at 6:20 PM, but the staff did ask me to stick around the area and to provide my number so that I can receive an update via text messages. The staff inspected my tires and gave me three different quotes. I ended up getting the cheapest one and waited at the outside seating area. The total was approximately $400 for all four tires with tax included. The technician finished the job earlier than I expected and I was able to leave the shop in less than a hour! I did notice that one of the staff didn't always have a mask on while working indoor, but at least the staff would immediately put a mask on when customers walk in. I could not find any USB charging ports in the indoor waiting area, but I spotted couple electrical plugs available. America's Tire offers much faster tire-changing service than Costco Tire and prices are very competitive - overall I am a fan of this shop and would recommend this place to others! P.S. - The shop recommends a tire replacement when any tire has a tread depth of 4/32" or less. read more

I wish I paid attention to the most recent reviews. TLDR: great tire prices, poor service. I came in to purchase tires to replace on my rears only. I received notification within 30 minutes that it was completed. I requested that my front tires be moved to my rears so I get a little more life out of them. It was even printed on the work order in addition to balancing and TPMS reset. I came back at the end of the work day and they stated my car was completed and parked out in front. My vehicle wasn't in front. It was actually down the block where they put excess cars since they have such little parking. That small detail was annoying but fine. I then found out that they did not put the new tires in front as requested. They adjusted it on the spot. Still giving grace about everything, I made no big deal and waited an additional 30 minutes. After they swapped them out, they asked me to reverse my car out of the bay to leave. I don't believe this is standard protocol to ask a customer to take their own car out of the bay. Or, they didn't ask anyone else who needed tires swapped. I drove home and my TPMS also went off which means they didn't reset it. The best part? When the tech told me I had a tread of 3/32 on the remaining two tires I didn't replace. That's interesting ... because my car was in two separate shops, in which one was a dealer, in the last 2 weeks, and both of those places who also had the opportunity to try to get money from me to replace all my tires, and told me the tread was 6/32, 8/32. Funny how tires go from 6/32 to 3/32 in the span of 2 weeks and 50 miles between those visits. It's one thing to be negligible about details, which is the core of great customer service, but it's another to say things that aren't factually true. I'm pretty unhappy with the experience given that I've been to several other locations of America's Tires without this bad of an experience. read more

Story time: When I left from home in South OC, my car gave me a warning that my tire pressure was low When I got to Pasadena, I stopped at the Chevron to fill up my gas tank and fill my tires with the appropriate air pressure at 12ish. I thought I was good to go! But when I went out to the store at around 3:30, it said that my front left tire was at 3 psi I called America's Tire and asked if they had my specific tire to replace, they didn't, but I needed a new tire! They close at 5p and they said they did have time to replace it...I just needed to arrive asap. When I arrived back at my mom's with the sandwiches for the party, we brought them inside the house. I had my brother fill up my flat tire with enough air to get me to America's Tire. I got to the counter and they said they'd help me asap! I was there for about 30 mins and BOOM, I was expecting to pay but they fixed my tire valve for FREE! It was just a faulty tire valve. I was very GRATEFUL for a quick fix!!! I split between northern and southern California because of my job. When I am in NorCal I go to the America's tire store in Dublin and have been going there for close to 10 years. I've had tires for all my 3 cars there and been very happy. They don't oversell hard, usually on time with the appointment, and the tire dressing afterwards are always nice touch. While in Southern cal recently, I noticed my left rear tire is losing air. It was very slow, losing 2-3 PSI over few days. So I took it to the Pasadena store. It was a busy day. I did have an appointment at 3:45 but I was late due to work emergency and arrived at 4:20 - my bad. Waited there around 5:40 pm until they took the car to the bay to look at the tire. The technician took off the tire and probably spend about 30 seconds and told me that the tire cannot be fixed because there are two nails very close to each other - and those cannot be fixed. He didn't show me where or had picture either ... So we ended up reinstalling the tire and driving back home, thinking I would try another place or perhaps try to buy the warranty certificate and try to get a price reduction if I have to get a new tire. Next day I want to a small independent tire place. The tech took off the tire and showed me the tire. To my surprise, the tire had quite a few stuff that got stuck into it (3~4) places. Then he did the actual leak check and showed me two places where it was actually leaking. But those two places were very far a part and he was able to patch the two places. Now I have to observe whether the fix will hold. I had tires patched in the past and have no reason why it should not work. Whether those other nails will cause problems... I will have to see. My point here is that America's store seemed too busy to do further troubleshooting and was too focused on ordering new tires for me. While they may be tight policies fixing tires due to corporate policies, I don't believe they acted with genuine desire to help their customer. In fact, what the tech had told is is outright incorrect and misleading. Now I am debating whether I should continue going to America's tire for my next tire needs.... read more

This once was my go-to place to buy tires. Never again. I went in today to get an air leak checked shortly before they closed. The first person saw that I had what he thought was a nail in the rear passenger side tire. He told me it wouldn't be a problem and to just check in with the office. I went into the office and waited about 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk so I could be checked in. Other staff members saw me in there, but they kept walking in and out. I'm sure they were busy with other tasks, but it would have been nice if someone had said something to me. Once someone finally came to the desk where I was waiting, I explained the issue. He informed me that it would only be about a 20-30 minute wait and that they would patch it for free. I was not aware that they offered free patching service and was prepared to pay to get it done. I decided to go across the street to get a drink while I waited. I received a notice that they were taking my car into a bay about 15 minutes later - much sooner than I expected. I crossed the street and saw that they had already taken off my tire. I walked towards the bay, and saw the piece of metal that was sticking through into the inside of the tire. I was surprised and asked what it was because I didn't realize right away. He told me it was some kind of drill but. I said wow, and that's when the guy told me it couldn't be patched because the hole was too big. For the record, the hole can't be larger than 1/4" or else it can't be patched. Also, the puncture was caused by a screwdriver bit designed to go into a handheld cordless drill like a DeWalt or Ryobi or Milwaukee. It was a at least 4 inches in length, but the width was barely the size of a standard wooden pencil. At first, I thought he was joking. I smiled and said really? He said it again with a straight face: "it can't be patched. It's too big." I asked what my options were, and he said that I would need a new tire. I asked what would that run me, and he stepped away. He came back and told me the lowest priced tire he had for my vehicle was a $260 Falken. I've actually been looking into what a new set would cost me since although I have plenty of tread left on all 4 of my tires, I knew I'd have to get some new ones by the middle of next year. That price was ridiculous for one tire that's not even a higher end brand. Falkens are not bad tires, but they're not top tier either. I asked him once more if he was 100% certain that it couldn't be patched. He told me that it can't be done because the hole is just too big. I laughed a little inside. I was in a rush to get somewhere, but I refused to be hustled. I paused to think for a few seconds when he decided to say something more. But instead of asking me if I wanted to look at other options for tires, he simply asked me if I'd like to put it back on the way it was. He said the leak was slow and I would be fine as long as I kept filling it with air when it dropped to a point that set off my TPS. I said sure. Put it back on. The leak is actually really slow. It hasn't dropped more than 6 PSI since I left that location about 5 hours ago. I'm definitely going to be placing a call in to their corporate office about this, and I'm going to go back and speak to a manager when I have some time. I'll also be going to another local tire shop that I know is capable of patching such a small puncture. They won't try to hustle me there, and they definitely won't be too lazy to do the required work. Yes, I'll have to pay to get it done. But I'd intended to do that from the start. When I learned that it was going to be a free service at America's Tire, I planned to just tip the guy the $20 for doing it for free. Bottom line is that you should definitely shop around for new tires before coming here. Make sure you're getting the best price and not getting scammed. And definitely don't come here for any kind of repairs. They will lie or just be too lazy to do it, and then they will try to convince you to spend your hard-earned money on new tires and a warranty when your current tire could be fixed. I'll be sure to update this review once I get the tire off. I will post a picture of the bit that's piercing the tire, and I'll post a picture of it once it gets patched at a more trustworthy place. America's Tire just lost a customer, and I'll be sure to spread the word to my family and friends. read more
