My girlfriend and her family are frequent customers at this location of America's Tire. I've been itching to get new tires for awhile because my stock tires were starting to give out. I found a sweet deal at a different tire store where they were running a buy 3 get 1 free promo. I called America's Tire to ask about their price match policy and I was helped by Chris. Not only did they price match, they beat the price! Next, I made an appointment to come in that weekend for the purchase and install. I came in on Saturday morning around 10:30 for my appointment and there were already about 6 parties waiting for their tire instal. David, the rep there helped me and explained I did not have to wait at all since I made an appointment. The full set of tires were installed in about an hour as promised. David answered all my questions and went over the manufacture warranties as well as complimentary services from Americas Tire including air checks, tire rotation, rebalancing, and repairs. I recently had my tires changed there. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. They typically have the size tires needed for my cars. And they typically give you a number of different options on manufacturers. Wait times are not too long if you get there early. Also I like the fact that at any time you can visit any of their store's drive up service, and they will check your air pressure and fill your tires if needed without ever getting out of your car. read more

I had a low pressure warning while I was in Mission Hills so I went to the Mission Hills store to get some air. There was a long slow line, and I waited almost an hour until I could get air. The attendant inspected the tires and told me that there was something in the tire. It would have taken an hour and a half to get service and another hour to get the tire fixed. I declined, drove home and made an appointment online for the service in Simi. That went very well and I was out within an hour! I don't handle situations very well. Being a single woman I don't like having to deal with car issues. I must have hit a pot hole as my tire almost immediately went flat. My son came over and put my spare on. I had to be at work the next morning. I got to the tire shop about 20 minutes before they opened and an employee was walking in and told me that since I was the first one there he would make sure that I was taken care of the minute they opened. After determining that I needed a new tire and that it would have to be ordered for delivery that afternoon they put a loaner on so that I could get to work. It was the best service I've had in a very long time. I came back that afternoon and they put the new tire on in record time. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. My vehicle was due for all four tires to be changed, but more urgently, the front right tire had a bubble and needed to be changed. I came in and spoke with Tyler. Tyler seemed like he hated his life and like he couldn't care less. The store only had two of the Michelin tires that I wanted in stock. I specifically requested that the two front tires be replaced so that I don't have a blow-out and crash, and I would come back a few days later to have the other tires replaced. They agreed. They then disregarded what I requested and I saw them replacing the two rear tires. I then spoke to Tyler, again, to reiterate what I had requested and to not have them waste their time. Tyler said, "yeah but your rear tires are due for change." I said, "yeah I know that, but the front right one has a bubble in it." He walked out without saying anything, spoke with the technicians, came back and told me that they would be putting one of the new tires in the front right. I thought, okay cool, problem solved. Nope. As I drove away, I noticed that the car was pulling to the right and handling weird. I pulled over to see what was up. I saw that the two Michelin tires that I had requested were in the rear, and my front right tire was now a continental that I didn't even request. I was like, alright, whatever, not what I asked for but it'll do until my next appointment in a few days. I chalked up the handling to the fact that I had three different brand tires on my car now (Michelin, Goodyear, and Continental). I woke up the next morning to go to work, and my front right tire was completely flat. I inspected it and it had a hole in the shoulder of the tire and the sidewall of the tire was already breaking apart. I have no idea where they got this tire from but it was clearly severely damaged. I couldn't even patch it up because it wasn't a normal puncture hole. This caused me to be late to work, and I then had to take time off of work, lose pay, to come back the next day and get my other tires. I explained how they screwed me over to Tyler and Tyler couldn't even care less. I was worse off than when I came in, they're lucky it didn't blow out and cause me to crash on the way home. They did absolutely nothing to make up for their crappy service, Tyler charged me full price and after I explained everything to him, he didn't even address what I said, he proceeded to ask me if I wanted to pay $90 for their alignment, that they would probably botch as well. Do yourself a favor and just go to the dealer. It's the same price anyways. read more

BEWARE!!! I'm not one to take the time to provide complaints unless it's really bad. But OMG they messed up!!! We've been getting our tires for a decade at Americas Tire, specifically Thousand Oaks. We purchased tires for my car in 2022. It's still pretty good according to the technician who 'inspected' it this year. I don't drive much . I happen to have my low tire pressure light on 8/7 of this year after a client construction meeting. I took it to Simi because it was the closest place to get to versus Thousand Oaks. Of course when your low tire pressure light comes on you act on it immediately for safety. I waited 3 hours it was busy. It was a hot day and I waited very patiently. After check out the technician I believe his name was Dave who greeted me before hand said they inspected my tires and found a nail in one of the tires and they patched it up and it should be in good standing. Of course I trusted them because they're the expert and this is why we've been customer for decades because they gave a guarantee and they'll fix punctures etc. Well three weeks have passed. I've not done an oil change or taken my car for any repairs since May. The low tire pressure light comes on. I take it to Thousand Oaks because at this time it was the closest son the way thinking ok they'll repair it and I can get to drive to my meeting to Malibu safely. The asst manager helped me his name was Harley. And when they have inspected my tire they said it was 'plugged' temporarily. I don't know what that means because I'm not the tire expert. But he's saying it wasn't done right and usually they don't provide temp plugs. He says maybe it was done by another 3rd party technician and they didn't do it right. I'm thinking now? How when I haven't gotten my car inspected since I've taken it to Simi! They try looking for the Simi record, they had a hard time looking and then comments are vague, didn't mention the patching, which tire, didn't mention the nail. I was feeling delusional. I had a meeting to get to and I didn't have time to waste. Now the manager is saying I need to get new tires and spend $200 for the tires. It was ridiculous! I mean why would they do some type of scheme and this made me feel very unsafe. What if I had a flat tire at the canyons in Malibu because of their operational and quality control issues. Eventually after 2 hrs of telling them to do the right thing they covered my tire. I had to get to my meeting taking an Uber and wasted time and money. I just felt unsafe, schemed. So be careful take records and be wise to understand that any repair they do is in writing. I do have to say within the circumstances thanks to the Thousand Oaks manager to adhering to the guarantee. Walking into America's Tires large glass lobby with flashy signs and greeting employees can feel a bit like walking into a sales trap... But trust me, this place is nothing of the sort. While it may be a large chain, America's tire operates more like a mom and pop store. The employees have your genuine interest at heart and DON'T work off commissions. These guys just want you to walk away with a good product you're happy with and that fits your budget. When one of my tires started leaking air, I decided to go back to America's Tire where I'd bought them nearly 4 years back, and boy am I glad I did! I worked with an employee named Daniel, an incredibly nice guy. I told him about the issue so we walked out to my car where he immediately pointed out a nail in the tire. I had no idea what the repair would cost, but Daniel noted that since I had purchased the tires from them the repair was fully covered. I just about wept. He explained that every tire they sell comes with a warranty that covers just about anything you could think of. Daniel explained the repair process which only took 30 minutes and goes above and beyond a basic patch job. He also took the time to help me understand more about tire health including detailed information about the state of my tires. He answered all my questions and I left with a ton of helpful information. Once the repair was done he personally walked me to my car to make sure I was happy with the repair and to see me off. It was one of those personal sales treatments that makes you feel more like a VIP than just another customer. The customer service was great and it was so fast . Only one thing my steering wheel was wobbly but then I called them and they are looking into for free . Unfortunately I have to give this place 2 out of 5 stars and that's based on my experiences I've had since moving to Simi a few years ago. Today I'm writing this review because my wife's car had a flat tire. I brought the car in, hoping for a tire patch. Unfortunately they couldn't do it and I'd have to buy a new tire. I bought a new tire and decided to buy a warranty on all 4 of my tires, which cost about $400. Here's how it went. I bought the new tire, they put it on, and sent me on my way. When I got home, I noticed that they didn't put my spare tire away correctly (the spare was stowed in my trunk when it should've been placed underneath my car). Also, they did not bother to put air in any of my tires. This upset me because I just spent $400 and you can't even put my spare back in the right spot or even bother to check the air in my tires? I called the store back and Tyler apologized and said to bring the car back in and they'll put it back correctly (I only mentioned the spare, I didn't mention the tire pressure). Thank you for making it right. But here's the thing. I shouldn't have had to come back to the store. Your guys should've put the spare back in the right spot the first time. And I shouldn't have to put air in my own tires after it leaving the tire store. (I drove to a gas station after leaving the second time to put air in my tires. I didn't bother to ask them with the air because of the CUSTOMER INTERACTION). CUSTOMER INTERACTION: staff here, especially in the actual work area are very cold. They do not make eye contact, and when they do make eye contact, they have a look of disdain in their eyes. They have a flat affect. They do not smile. And some of them straight up don't talk to you. I can tell they don't take pride in their work. And they hate being there. I get it, who wants to work right? Fact of the matter is, the staff here needs to take a seminar on treating customers nicely, and communicating. Joseph and Esmeralda are cool though. SUMMARY: I probably won't be coming back here unless I absolutely needed to. The customer service is not the best, and the interaction I've had with the staff, has been mostly negative. I appreciate the store for making it right with my spare. And I appreciate them getting the job done. But bottom line, as a paying customer, I shouldn't be putting the spare back in the right spot myself. And I sure as hell shouldn't be putting air in my own tires after leaving A TIRE STORE. I go to Simi Lube and Oil for an oil change and these guys check my tires and put air in them. THEY ARENT EVEN A TIRE STORE. What a joke. ALTERNATIVES: I've been going to America's Tire Northridge before and that's how a store should run. Customer service is top notch, staff is very friendly, and they take pride in their work. They also check my air before sending me off. I will be going to them despite them being out of my way. At least those guys are nicer. RATING: 2 out of 5.
