1. Person in showroom told me one slab with no seam but person who measured said 2 pieces but seam would "match". It doesn't. 2. Person who measured and installers both said they didn't need to measure stove because stoves are a standard size. Stove did not fit in opening upon installation. 3. Bottom cabinet broken and filled with globs of calk - installer told me "no one looks under there". 4. Men sent to grind down counter so stove would fit arrived 2 1/2 hours early without calling so furniture and cabinets were not yet covered. Process that Caroline said would cause "a little dust" made a huge mess that took 13 hours to clean. 5. Calk used to fill seam between backsplash and counter is bright white. Quartz is gray-white with gray vein. My $2600 project looks like a DIY project. read more

A perfect experience with a wonderful outcome. I ordered my granite by phone about two weeks ago, within two days the fabricator was out taking the measurements, and within two weeks, the installers were here. They just left. At all times, communication lines were open and I knew what time AMF Brothers was coming. They were incredibly punctual and professional. I now have a beautiful kitchen for half the price at Home Depot. I don't understand the poor reviews, I would recommend this company to anybody with no hesitation. read more

Worst experience! Waited 5 weeks only for them to show up with the countertop cut for the wrong sink. When they show up with the 2nd countertop they cut it wrong also and the sink is in crooked and there is a lip all around when it should be flush. Trying to get them to fix it and they don't answer phone calls or emails. Unfortunately we had to escalate and are waiting to find out what will happen next. read more

I ordered three countertops for a three-unit apartment building I am rehabbing. The installation time was changed from 8-10am to 12-2pm which was fine because my workers were going to be there all day. But I certainly can't wait around for them to show up. The counters were installed with no problem but then the office called me for payment, which I thought could be mailed to them or paid online via ACH transfer. I prefer not to use a personal credit card for a business expense so I checked their website for some sort of payment button. While I was looking at their site, my phone rang and I had to take an important call for about 5-10 minutes. During this time AMF office blew up my phone with several missed calls. When I called them back (maybe 10 minutes later) I was told I needed to give them my credit card numbers over the phone (never a safe option) or they would rip out the counters and have to return another day. They lost perhaps 16 to 20 future kitchen counter orders from me per year when they so quickly resorted to threatening me. Is it really so hard to put a payment icon on your website these days? I'll look elsewhere for my next orders. read more

Absolutely horrible! We were renovating our kitchen and picked out beautiful quartz from AMF... All seemed to be going well! After they installed it, we realized they put the hole for the faucet in the wrong place (too close to the backsplash) and the faucet for the sink could not be installed! Huuuuuge problem. The woman I spoke to was clearly trying to be helpful but you could tell the owners (or managers or whoever) were telling her not to take responsibility, even though it was clearly a mistake on their end. All of their "excuses" were nonsensical. They were able to bandaid fix the problem... and the faucet was able to be installed, but it is pushed up against the ledge of the window above the backsplash. Not the end of the world, but not ideal and certainly not what we were hoping for. The worst part is it all could have been avoided if they would have just made the hole 1 inch further away from the wall (and there was plenty of room to accommodate that)... Such an unnecessary mistake!!! Will never use them again and strongly suggest people look elsewhere when purchasing a counter top! read more

Easy - picked out color online, put deposit down, they delivered & installed and even came out and measured all the way to Champaign County and hauled away old counter. Counters look great. We had a strict budget and this was the only supplier that met it. read more

Zero stars!! Andrew is EXTREMELY difficult to work with!!! His installers are worse! They miss-cut a piece of granite, took a piece of wood to cover their mistake and used a black magic marker to blend it in, in hopes I would not see it. Well....I did and had to call Andrew NUMEROUS times to have his "installers" fix the problem, which they never did. MY contractor had to fix their screw up!. Then they miss cut holes for outlets.....excuse after excuse, and NUMEROUS calls to Andrew again...the "installers" finally showed up while my contractor was there. Finally they corrected that. Now Ive had an issue w/dishwasher...."installers" connected dishwasher on the sides .....ran it.....it leaks. Cld Andrew and text him-to no avail. The granite counters turned out fantastic and everybody who sees them loves them, we could not be happier. We play find the seam with new guests, most cannot find it, and we have a complicated granite pattern (colonial Cream). The install crew was great and the work quality is top notch with an unbeatable price to match. We love the bigger single bowl offset sink they got for us and have not regretted it once, I would highly recommend it. We highly recommend AMF to anyone we know who needs new counters. read more

"Our customers are the center of our universe" That's until you've paid in full it would seem. The rep was out here on the day of the install and he asked for payment before they finished and everything seemed to be going well. So I paid. Now, I can't get a hold of anyone. The installers were pretty professional and the granite is very pretty. I'm not to happy with the way they handled some angles of my cabinets. The counter top does not match the angles. It's a couple inches off. I can live with it I guess but I wouldn't install something like that. Another complaint would be a seam in my back splash. None of my counter tops have a seam. They are all short spans. Why couldn't that back splash not have a seam as well? My final complaint is not being able to get a hold of them afterwards. I feel like they took my money and ran. If they would have answered my communications afterwards I probably would have given them another star. If I were to do it over. I'd try someone else. My parents are doing their kitchen now and I'm not referring these guys. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY!!! Just had my counters installed yesterday and their service is horrible. First when they came to measure they were 3 hours late. Then they came to do the set up and they damaged our wall in multiple spots then told me it was my fault they did it. When I talked to the owner they stated they did not cover that. I told him I was going to deduct the money it would cost to repair my walls in my brand new house and he called me crazy. Horrible customer service. As for the product itself, the work is lazy. A corner on the island is cracked and they tired to cover it up. Sadly I didn't notice it until they left and they stand behind their work so much that they state once you sign off on it and they leave they will not return to fix any problems. Sorry but if you have a policy where you will not return if an issue is found on something like this that tells me you know people find issues after the fact and you do not stand behind your product or company. read more

In December 2014 I hired this company based on the recommendation of my nephew who was pleased with the work done in his home. While the work done in my condo is satisfactory, the damage done to the common area hallway has never been paid for, even after I received an email from Andrew stating they would pay for it. After emailing the invoice from my condo association to Andrew and receiving no reply, I actually drove to their office and gave them a copy of the invoice for the damage and was promised a check within a week. That was 3 weeks ago. I now cannot recommend this company to my neighbors who were looking to remodel. Here it is May 4th and I finally received reimbursement for the payment I made to our condo association for the damage. Now i can say I am satisfied with AMF Brothers and have changed the rating I gave them. read more

The only reason AMF Brothers gets a single star is that the workers who actually installed our granite counter tops did a fine job. If you have the misfortune to find yourself dealing with Andrew Fanfara, please run away from this company as quickly as possible. Andrew is a horrible supervisor, incapable of performing the most basic of tasks. Do not be fooled into thinking this company cares one iota for your project simply because the price looks good. The supervisor was so bad at what he does I would rather pay someone else to fix the defects in our counter tops than have him come back to my house under the "100% guarantee." I am hopeful someone reads this before having to deal with Andrew, (sic). I can only hope Andrew gets fired, as his embarrassing and low class behavior impugn the integrity of otherwise competent installers. However, as Andrew is an owner his failures and shortcomings will likely and mercifully put AMF Brothers out of business. Seriously, stay away. This is a rotten company as long as Andrew Fanfara is affiliated with it. I apologize for using name calling regarding Andrew in my original post. I have removed the name calling. Rather, I will delineate the deficiencies with AMF: the supervisor gets defensive over everything as if looking for a fight; the supervisor returned only one of our numerous messages regarding scheduling, updates, questions regarding repairs; the supervisor, who did the measurements, completely mis-measured for the sink, not even close. The men who did the work apologized for the supervisor's errors. However, the supervisor never apologized, never spoke to us regarding what he would do to fix the problems. There was a defect in my counter top. Reluctantly, we contacted AMF to have the defect serviced. It is now 2 weeks and noboy has come to look at the defect. Nothing has happened from AMF regarding their 100% guarantee. Caveat emptor. You get what you pay for. read more

Buyers beware and read the reviews with caution. Over the phone, I put a deposit down on my credit card (agreeing to the 3% surcharge) with the confirmed understanding that I would get a full refund if I decided to cancel. After reading the poorly written contract and calling several times with basic questions that the staff couldn't answer or understand, I came here to read the reviews. As a result, moving forward with AMF did not sit well with me so I requested the full refund. They complied but mailed me a check with a partial refund, the surcharge was not included. Clearly their idea of a full refund is not the same as my idea of a full refund. I never signed a contract, received a receipt or had the company give an estimate. I called about this and they said it was not their money to give back. I'm only out about $50 but I firmly believe that a reputable company will do what they say, and in this case it was to give a full refund upon cancellation. At the very least, their terms should have been made clear and explained prior to the transaction. Live and learn I guess. My advice is to follow your gut and do your due diligence prior to making any payments! Sketchy company. read more

Don't do business with these guys. Pay a few more dollars and you'll be happier in the end. They recently did our kitchen and: - Failed to show up or call on the original install date. I had to call them to see what was going on. - Cut into our molding without asking to accommodate poor measuring by Andrew, one of the owners. - Broke our old sink that we intended to sell or donate. They didn't tell us, we just found it broken in the garage. - Did not seal on site. The installers said as much, but Andrew insisted they had and compared it to spraying windex on and wiping off. He basically said sealer was not important and that the granite in his own home was not sealed. We did it properly ourselves. - There are a couple of tiny chips in the surface of our island. - If you do work with them, take pictures of your slab to insure you're getting what you wanted. - Andrew is pleasant enough up front when discussing the job, but hope there are no issues with install because he turns hostile and doesn't follow up if there are. read more

I had a great experience with them. They got me quartz installed in 3 weeks during Christmas and even got me installed few days early upon my request. I am absolutely in love with my white quartz counter, it looks amazing and was perfectly installed. The installers are excellent and helped give me advice on small decisions I had regarding drilling holes for soap dispensers and such and showed me how to remove things that could stain the quart. Their prices are definitely affordable in comparison to a Home Depot and a Lowes and have a better installation turn around by weeks. Highly recommend them ! read more

Andrew Fonfara was the most horrible supervisor I have ever encountered. Not only did he incompetently screw up the measurements of our sinks, not only did he fail to take responsibility for his screw ups, his complete and utter contempt for our complaints (regarding his deficiencies as well as the defects in the counter tops) suggest that his "100% lifetime guarantee" is bogus. I would rather pay someone else to fix the defects in the granite than to allow Andrew back in my house. It's amazing to me that AMF is still in business with Andrew as the supervisor. I just picked up my granite countertops. They look great but I haven't installed them yet. I also couldn't beat the price. I only have a few cautions. 1. Since I am not a expert about granite countertops, I made the assumption that they would be able help me avoid common mistakes. My experience was such that they just fabricate what you tell them and don't think too much about possible errors. I.E. I sent them a countertop drawing and the complete kitchen cabinet layout with every dimension imaginable but they still originally figured the kitchen sink in the wrong location. 2. I requested three 2" radiuses for my peninsula but only received 2 standard (maybe 1/2") radius corners even though it was on the print. Only receiving 2" radius corners is a mutually shared mistake because, I forgot to mention that I needed about 15" polished edge where the countertop extended beyond the wall. They assumed that there was a wall on that end so they didn't radius the corner or inquire of me why I wanted a radius there. When I called to mention the errors before fabrication and after pick-up, I felt they were very defensive. Even though I was not demanding them to correct the errors after fabrication. (The drive is not worth it because I have the capability to fix it myself) If you are thinking of purchasing from them my suggestions are; 1. Have them or a expert do the measuring. 2. I would like to think they will fix any problems but don't expect a "customer is always right attitude". 3. If you choose to pick up the counter tops yourself, document and be very detailed in what you want. Do a very detailed inspection before accepting the product. Keeping in mind I haven't installed the countertops yet but, all things considered, I am happy with my decision to purchase from AMF Brothers read more

Had AMF do our quartz kitchen countertops about 18 mos ago. Job was okay, felt they could have done better on seam, but didn't make an issue about it. Went back there yesterday for our bathroom countertop, wanted to use the one as in kitchen. Price quoted was just under 50% of cost of our kitchen countertops, which was about 3 times the amount as needed in bathroom. When I questioned why such a high cost, the female sales person stated "it's a small job and we need to make it worth our while to do measurements and installation". When I commented that her price was $200 over Floor and Decor, she made no effort to come down and want us to do business with them. Left the store feeling that being a return customer meant nothing to this business, and they are only interested in larger, costly jobs than a small job (possibly to fund yet another white Porsche parked in front of their building). Needless to say, will no longer do business with them. read more

Only use them if you don't care about your finished product. We had an issue with a side splash and back splash, that we originally did not order but asked to have it added when their installers said that we should have them. It was an area away from the main kitchen and did not previously have them. They told us it would look more finished this way. We asked to have them made while the installers were still working in our home but were told that the leftover slab was already sold. After about a dozen calls to them they said it would cost us $600.00 for a piece that should be $100 or so. I found a piece myself and had it cut to fit for $105.00, and installed it myself. Not once in 2 months of calls to them did they ever actually call me back. I had to call Andrew each time. He did not care, because we had already paid him for the original portion, and he did not care if we were satisfied or not. He had his money. read more
