I was only here once, over a decade ago after class got out while I was in college. The same table was in the same place where me and my fellow students and teacher all enjoyed pizza! My only disappointment was that it was a HUGE menu, but there were no real traditional entrees which I wanted that day. They have sandwiches, salads, wraps, pizza, chicken wingers, burgers, and finger foods galore. I ordered the California club and pub fries and I have 0 complaints with my food. The pub fries are the thinner, battered fries. They also have waffle fries and a variety of other types of loaded fries. There's something for everyone but again, no traditional entrees except maybe the Friday fish fry. It's pretty much all good you eat with your hands. They could not believe that the Fish Fry included four sides --- not a choice from four sides. Generous portion of fish and we ordered the wings as an appetizer. Otherwise, there were games on the TVs and the wait staff was pleasant, so there. Presentation: 3 / 5 Wings. On plates. Okay. Ken's Bleu Cheese packets epitomized the experience. Meat: 3.5 / 5 The good ones were fine but overall this was a weak point. There were more boney shards than we care to deal with. Cook: 8 / 10 All hot and a pretty good crisp. The preparation of the char-pit grill was a nice differentiator -- nice to have *something* that stands out. Standard: 9 / 15 Way under-sauced - not enough to completely cover each wing - and way under-spiced. We generally don't need a lot of heat to give a good review but these were bland and boring. Specialty: 7.5 / 10 A better showing here but inconsistent overall. Char pit was universally loved, no wonder they brag about it all over the walls. Mango haberero were a bit slimy, not great. We got takeout WINGS from here today, hot, and then spicy garlic Parmesan. They were outstanding. The sauces were great. The hot was a perfect medium, as is typical in the northern suburbs. The spicy garlic Parm was amazing. Great spice. Huge wings (which isn't usually my favorite but these were cooked well). Very good. This place looks larger from the outside - I originally thought it was a regular restaurant. It's a bar, with a take-out counter on the other side of the entrance doors. They also have a large patio. They have plenty of seats and TV's to watch a game. I came here with my family for dinner and we tried a large pepperoni & cheese pizza, wings, and a chicken finger wrap. The pizza you can order by the slice and it is huge. We ordered two slices like that for 3 of us to try. It was extra cheesy and had a ton of pepperoni on it. I love when there is a ton of cheese on the pizza. My brother who can normally eat a large pizza on his own, was only able to eat 3.5 slices of the 8 piece pie. (We did not know my brother was getting pizza when we ordered the slices) The chicken finger wrap I had done hot with no blue cheese. I upgraded the side to have the steak fries. The wrap was full and you could taste everything inside it and the heat on the fingers. The fries were crispy as well. The part I liked the best, was the wings. They were larger than most places and crispy. My parents ordered them Medium and Hot Cajun. The medium had the average taste to them, but the hot Cajun you could definitely taste the heat and spice. We were in the area for a late night bite, so we decided to stop in. We got lucky and the place just cleared out some tables, so we were sat after a quick clean up. Okay, the menu was extensive. Seriously, if you're indecisive, this might not be the place for you. So many options and most of them sounded good. I was easy, my wife and I decided early on we wanted to share a pizza. The rest of the bunch...well, the waitress had to return a couple times until they figured it out. We did get our round of drinks very quickly and a couple pitchers of water too. There were several TV's showing Thursday Night Football, so wherever you sat, you had a perfect view of a TV. Once we finally got our order in, the food came out fairly quickly. I was very happy w/ the pizza. It could have used a little more sauce, despite that, it was still very good. I think everyone else enjoyed their food. Besides our pizza, the table ordered a personal pizza, a stuffed banana pepper quesadilla and a sandwich. Service was good throughout. Our waiter was very attentive. You can also do take out like a regular pizzeria. This time around my date and I sat on the patio. My date wanted to try the pizza fries which is something they are known for. Thick steak fries, mozzarella, pepperoni and sides of marinara sauce. Unique and delicious! We went a little overboard on the other dishes since the pizza fries were so filling. I got a tuna melt and my date and I shared the char pit bbq wings. The tuna sandwich was great but maybe a little greasy. The wings were perfectly grilled and with the perfect amount of sauce. I had plenty of leftovers! The service was extremely friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend this place for wings, sandwiches and a great selection of beer! We ordered some pizza and wings. We inquired about the personal pizza which our waitress let us know is really a "personal" portion so we ordered a medium. It was the perfect size. We weren't very impressed with the pizza though. It was pretty messy and seemed like it could have been kept in the oven a little longer. We ordered a single order of wings medium and hot garlic parmesan. The wings were a good size and the mediums were good. The hot garlic parm only tasted "hot" and overpowered the garlic parm flavor.
