It was my first time at this restaurant and I came with other family members who are regulars here. Upon entering, I was in awe at how well-decorated it was with a Winter Wonderland theme. First, the pre-meal bread and butter was delicious and I was tempted to keep eating it. We all shared a Caesar salad. I liked that it had a lot of black pepper, but I wish it had more croutons in it. For my entree, I got the Fettuccine Alfredo. It was the best Fettuccine Alfredo that I've had in the U.S because it reminded me of the Fettuccine Alfredo at the restaurant that made the original recipe in Italy. I forgot the names of the entrees that the other members of family had, but they enjoyed it as well. For desert, we got the bread pudding, cannolis, and a lemon cake. I loved the cannoli and the bread pudding was nice and warm. My only complaints are that the service was very, very slow since it was peak time on a Friday night and the music playing where we were seated was a tad bit loud. But the staff was extremely accommodating to us. Restaurant is very busy and like a maze with back room after back room. Came here in December and it was decorated with all kinds of festive Christmas decorations. They also sang Christmas music and handed out little Santa hats to everyone. Very fun atmosphere. The food was good. I had the shrimp which were like three very large shrimp in red sauce with a little bit of spice. Also had a pasta dish with long flat noodles in red sauce that didn't have much flavor. Took my husband out for his birthday. One of his favorite meals is chicken parm, so I chose this restaurant. This place was a unique vibe!!!. The music is loud but fun ,so if you aren't into that , this may not be a place for you. We had a table for two and the table was sooooo small I had no elbow room let alone room for much of anything. My butter knife flew off the right side and my clutch purse flew off the left side lol. Next time I'm going to bring two extra people because you have to have a party of atleast 4 to get a booth. I had the shrimp scampi and a strawberry Moscow mule, it was so delicious. My husband enjoyed his chicken parm and was really happy. He said the restaurant reminded him of back home New York. If you want Italian cuisine do not go to this restaurant. This restaurant offers 10 year old girl birthday party vibes with high priced food and cocktails. The menu also states that everyone at the table must order their own entree. If you want to split any food foggett'about it. I find it weird that they state that on the menu. I ordered the eggplant parm. The cheese was a bit plastic-y. I tried the side pasta and it was good but someone else ordered it and was scared while trying it because the whole "no splitting" thing. The cheese app was good and their bread is good. The butter that goes with the bread is more of a garlic spread which was overwhelming. I'm no vampire but it was way too much that it stuck with me and had to run home to brush my teeth first thing. Overall I'd skip this place. read more

I get that it's supposed to be an experience, but it is a sensory overload. So many decorations. The music is loud enough that you can't hear the person across the table from you. The service started pretty good. We were seated quickly with our reservation. We got the filet mignon ($50) and the chicken parmigiana $30). First flag was that I was informed that the chicken parmigiana was served without pasta. I have never heard of that--maybe I have just been lucky enough to only ever go to some fine restaurants that include at least some kind of pasta with their parmigiana. I can only guess that this means that the eggplant parmigiana is just a fried eggplant with cheese, but I digress. The ciabatta bread was warm and tasty, the highlight of the meal as it turned out. The second flag was that the food came out less than 5 minutes after we ordered it. It was hot, but that's about all the good I can say for it. The chicken parmigiana was slopped over with some kind of chewy cheese that covered two large, thin cuts of fried chicken bathed in sauce from a Spaghettios can. It was not good. My wife's steaks looked good, but were okay, but just barely okay--that is until it hit her stomach and made her run to the restroom to "give it back." While my wife was gone, the server came over and asked if we were enjoying the meal. I was honest and told him no, that we didn't like the food and that it was pretty bad (it tasted like cafeteria food, which can be good if you're in a cafeteria and expecting that instead of dropping a Benjamin on what is supposed to be good Italian food). The server quickly picked up the plates and told me that we could just leave then. Before my wife came back from the bathroom, the "guy in charge" came over and asked if he could go personally make something for us because our tastes were obviously off. He said that he has been eating chicken parmigiana there daily for 14 years and it is always great. I agreed that our tastes must just be vastly different and, since we were already asked to leave, that we would find somewhere else to eat. It was a polite exchange and I thanked him for the conversation. Probably deserves one star, but I gave it two since at least someone cared and came to talk to me and the warm bread was good. It was an experience, but one I hope to forget soon. Not good for kids. Not good for talking. Not good for eating high-quality and delicious food. I'm sure there are people who love this place (it was packed, after all), but I definitely don't recommend it. read more

5* atmosphere, 4* food, 3* prices. Went for a birthday with a large group, and this is hard to beat atmosphere wise. Decorated like a literal party and there's usually a theme. I've never been anywhere like Amore e Amore. The food was good, but not standout in what's a pretty amazing area for Italian food. It's also the most expensive Italian place I've been to Atlanta. This used to be more justifiable because they would bring you free food to taste, but that apparently doesn't happen anymore (even for a birthday). I think one of our party paid $42 for chicken parmigiana, which is kind of crazy. Totally worth it for a big group event as it's very fun, but we wouldn't go here for a normal occasion unless they lowered the prices. read more

One of my favorite spots in Atlanta now! I came with my family for my birthday and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is so welcoming and the decor is so fun. We went on the very first day they had their new theme, butterflies & botanicals. I got the gnocchi vodka and it was so delicious and fresh. At a certain point in the night the music switched from classic Italian to fun 80s disco tunes, which my parents loved. We all loved our meals and got an excellent tiramisu at the end. Went there on a Tuesday and had reservations (I'd recommend reservations). The service was amazing from start to finish. Everyone that stopped by our table was very helpful and seemed like they were enjoying themselves. We ordered the limoncello spritz (refreshing). For an appetizer we ordered the meatballs which were tender and they said "it's in the sauce." We asked for suggestions, I ordered the gnocchi vodka (amazing) and my date ordered the Millers family pasta. Both were delicious as I had a bite of hers. I get the hype, it's why I came here with my fiancé. The restaurant is small, very small, be prepared to feel like you're in a tight space especially with the ceiling decor. It's definitely what makes this place look unique, and personally loved the way the restaurant was decorated. On to the food, the complementary bread was fresh and HOT. The butter spread was filled with fresh herbs and was to die for. I wish we asked for a loaf and that butter to go! On to the burrata, we ordered one and they very nicely split it for us without asking which was a very nice touch. The burrata was great, in my opinion could've used more balsamic and olive oil, but that was a personal preference and doesn't change the freshness and quality of the item. I had the Chicken Parmesan as my main course. It was one of the best chicken parmesans I've ever had in my life. Meat was crispy, the sauce was fresh sweet and tangy. The cheese was melted and tasty. Great dish 10/10. My fiancé had the gnocchi with vodka sauce. It was good. I wish the sauce was a little thicker/creamier, it didn't exactly stick to the gnocchi when you go to pick them up with your fork, which meant you don't get to fully enjoy the sauce since it didn't stick to the gnocchis. 6/10. I want to come back and try some of the other items. Based on my overall experience, I know this place has some great food and a menu that needs to be fully explored. I also recommend their house cocktails, great and unique drinks, very pricey, I'm talking Manhattan cocktail prices. As for the service, it was ok, definitely not ideal in my opinion for this price point. I asked my server to explain the food on the cart and she just glossed over it like I was causing an inconvenience to her. No problem, I get it since they were busy. What I can't get by and what bothers me and what has been mentioned in past reviews, are the ways this place will up charge you. When you sit down you will be offered "still" or sparkling" in my opinion, that can be interpreted as still tap water or in this restaurants case, still Panna bottled water. To me, it was very annoying that we weren't given a choice that was transparent and clear and that in the loud and dark environment made easier to just order. Well regardless, if you "order" still, don't be surprised when you get charged $8 for water. Explicitly as for tap, not even sure that's an option, but again, would've been nice for some clarity given by the waiter there. All in all, great spot for a date night. I would recommend it just be aware of the up charging that goes on here and you'll have a great time. My only reason for not giving five stars was the service. read more

I absolutely love coming here. They have valet parking, which is super easy. The first time we came they had only been open for a week or so, and it was the most fun experience. The gnocchi was to die for, chicken parm was delicious, and their bread and butter is so good too! Had to get the crème brûlée and we thoroughly enjoyed that. The portions are large, not family style but more than sufficient for when your dining companion's fork comes in hot to "just have a taste." Everything is fresh, the vegetables snap, the cheese is aromatic and authentic, the meats are tender and the marinara sauce is incredible. I get the chicken parmigiana because I always get chicken parmigiana; and this dish is tops, and a choice of pasta came with the dish. You might read this review and sense some bias; sure I'm bias ... the food is amazing and every time I'm in ATL, I have the pleasure of dining here. I leave full, happy, I get a hug.
