These days I keep it simple -- a cool, breezy ride through the Fullerton Loop, maybe cruise the Greenway Trail or Riverbed. If you see an old man rolling by, feel free to say hello. My boy took my Giant Trance X mountain bike into Pat's 605 Cyclery, and Tristan hooked it up. He did an outstanding job getting my bike ready for the road again. Everything feels dialed in and smooth. An old guy like me appreciates those dual shocks -- makes it feel like I'm riding a Cadillac down the trail instead of getting rattled around in a hoopty. Stopped by franks bike shop to get training wheels installed on my son's bike, he is a big boy so…read moreluckily they had heavy duty training wheels in stock. The price was pretty good, $40 for the training wheels and $10 for installation, which is good because there is another shop locally that wanted $75 installed. She took good care of the bike and even adjusted the brakes for us. Their bike shop is well organized and pretty clean. There is always parking available in front of the location. Thank you Angie!

They said they called but they never left a voicemail. Now my daughter took the bike to UCSB and the brakes were super squeaky and as she was taking it to the campus bike shop, the chain came off the track. That never happened before!!!! EVER!!!! Whatever this bike shop did has rendered the bike useless for my daughter at UCSB over 100 miles away. We now have to pay to get the bike looked at and repaired in Santa Barbara.

Once you get the speed and smoothness of turning down, you are fine. On the customer service side there is some to be desired. It's not the worst, but it's not great either. I have called Addmotor and I have chatted online with them several times. They are always quick and responsive and have answers, not always the right answers unfortunately. The last Trike I bought was advertised on their site to be in stock and would ship in a couple days. It was a good month before it shipped because they were waiting for inventory. I also purchased the accessories for the trike. Every contact was "a couple more weeks" I am 10 weeks out on the accessories now. They told me they are shipping today. That makes me feel like the backorder fell through the cracks. I asked for expedited shipping, they said they cannot expedite the shipping because it was already picked up by the carrier. I asked for a tracking number, they said they did not have it yet and it would be e-mailed to me in a couple hours. You can see how this now looks like a screw up and back peddling since that string of conversations sounds a lot like one lie after another. My company ships over 1000 packages a day, I am very aware that tracking numbers are assigned well before the carrier picks up. Moral of the story, good, quality products. Be prepared to sit back and wait though.

TBH I was more bummed out about the bike more than the injuries. Insurance reached out and highly recommended the AWESOME team at RPE Motorcycle. After doing some review reading with both HD and RPE, I decided to pull the trigger with RPE. They had glowing reviews from a bunch of people who decided to go this route rather than the dealership. When my bike was picked up, I had to pleasure of meeting Rob. He assured me the bike would "come back SO MUCH BETTER than what it was." He and his team updated me every step of the way, from when parts came in, options for alternative parts, or even if there were any delays in shipping. CONSTANT COMMUNICATION!
