I've been to Amuri Italian Cuisine twice now, and both experiences have been absolutely outstanding! From the delicious food to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere and incredible service, this place has quickly become one of my favorites. Nino took such great care of us and recommended the perfect dishes. I completely fell in love with the food! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Amuri is such a cute little Italian gem, and I would recommend it to everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I was excited to try a new Italian plan and this is definitely a new comfort food spot for me! The inside was so cute and aesthetic. I really enjoyed admiring the mural on the other side of the restaurant that I couldn't get a good picture of. It was like looking out of a window with beautiful weather at a scenic spot. Service was prompt, it wasn't too busy when we went, it was between lunch and dinner rush. The server was very knowledgeable about the food and very in depth with the chefs specials. The Fiori Di Zucca was hands down our favorite dish, with sauce that we used as salad dressing and as something to dip the fried zucchini blossoms in. The Cacio e pepe and stuffed gnocchi were both creamy and delicious. It was on the rich/heavier side so mania sites you come with an appetite! We couldn't finish our dishes, but were so happy to be able to take some home. Will definitely be back to try more hopefully cheese wheel pasta or a chef special (:

Happy hour at Amuri is a wonderful option if you live over by Mercy Road. Their happy hour runs until 5pm, and trust their drinks (one of the rare places i have seen a limoncello spritz) are worth a try. We enjoyed the complimentary bread with the meatballs (comes with 3 thick meatballs and a well made marinara) and asked to split the vodka pasta. The interior is coastal and highlights their cheese wheel pasta, with a viewing station inside. Definitely would recommend for an italian dinner date with parking and fresh food!

Amari takes you on a journey to the Amalfi coast - the decor is beautiful and paints a picture of all the iconic images of the region. Food was delicious. Tried the arancini - really good but could be served hotter(temperature was lukewarm). Carbonara was delicious. The pasta was a touch too al dente for me. Next time I'll ask for an extra minute of cook time. The cannolis were divine. The shell was perfectly crisp - loved it. Our waiter was helpful and we appreciated his suggestions.

Do not be fooled by the surrounding area as this place is definitely worth a stop by! Surrounded by gas stations and tucked in a shopping center just off the freeway, you might miss Amuri. Luckily we had done our Yelp research and saw this place had great reviews. PROS: Stepping into the restaurant, you'd think you were in Europe! Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere, kind and attentive wait staff. The garlic bread is some of the best i've had, I think I would come back just for the bread, drinks and salad. The pasta was also cooked to perfection. CONS: The Cacio e Pepe was very saucy and not like the traditional cacio I am used to. It had good flavor but too overwhelming and rich for me. The vodka sauce was very spicy and lived up to its name, but alternatively could've used more cheese/richness. Overall this place is definitely worth a visit!

Arrived at 11:30 AM with a party of 7. First time here since the change from Pernicano's. It seemed like we were the first customers of the day. The new interior is beautiful and colorful. Unfortunately early arrival meant bread was baked and specials were not available. We immediately ordered appetizers of Frutto Misto, Flori di Zucca, insalada caprese and Involtini di Melanzanev all were delicious and shared by our group. Main courses were Ravioli Di Pesce, Linguine Vongole, Salmone, Cioppino and Pollo Parmagiana. All were delicious except the Cioppino was lacking in some seasonings. The glasses of Bianca Della Casa were refreshing at $12 each. The only other complaint was the two of the dishes were chipped. I was unaware of this till after we left. We were too full to try the desserts. Will retry but mid afternoon in the future.

Wow! What a great community gem in our neighborhood. This authentic Italian restaurant sits unknowingly in a small strip mall with ample parking. The interior is so warm, fresh, welcoming and reminds us of being in Italy. It was a very popular place among locals. The waiter was from Sicily and gave us amazing recommendations on their daily specials. He was friendly, helpful and service was exceptional. The restaurant serves beer and wine. Of course we stared with an Aperol spritz. Crafted by the bartender expertly. Yum! The food was outstanding with homemade pasta, hand created sauces, and much more. We loved their misto frito which is a fried calamari and shrimp appetizer. Delicious!! The seafood special with lobster was heavenly and had great flavor. The red spicy pasta and carbonara mentally brought us back to our trip in Rome a few month ago. It was simply culinary perfection! Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you... this place is a culinary masterpiece for Italian food! Job well done!

I came here with my friends during Easter and had a very positive experience here. The restaurant was still very new during our visit, but they operated smoothly. The pastas and flat breads were all delish. The bread was incredible. I ordered the Pappardelle Ragu and absolutely loved it! The pasta was fresh, perfect texture, and the beef ragu tasted like it was slow cooked overnight. It was bold and rich in flavor. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a very inviting atmosphere. Service was great! I'm definitely coming back to try other dishes!

Had such a good experience at Amuri. You can genuinely tell this place comes from people who care about authentic Italian food. The owners are from Italy, and it shows in the food, the atmosphere, and the way they treat people. We ordered the ragu, fettuccine scampi, mojitos, and fried calamari. The calamari was honestly one of the best I've had in a long time. Fresh and homemade pasta, and the flavors felt authentic instead of overly heavy like a lot of Italian spots.

It was ok. The bread was ok, my favorite thing is the espresso martini as they didn't have Malbec wine. The fried burrata was not it for me, the fried beef rice was good though. I got the cheese wheel which was decent. The lady fingers though were super hard and was lacking the espresso. Wasn't the best thing like all the San Diego influencers were saying but it's not the worse. Was just ok

Excellent return experience. Nino is a super server... And remembered me from the last time I came, and even what I ordered! My Hugo spritz was delicious. Music on the patio was a little too loud at first but then they adjusted it for us. The complementary bread comes with oregano sprinkled, so I need to remember for the next time to ask for it without it. (Love olive oil, don't like oregano). My sweetie enjoyed the classic bruschetta and then a grilled steak dish. I got the pistachio pasta which I got last time. It is delicious and not something you can get everywhere. Nino and everyone else was super nice. Keep in mind that on busy days, they get super busy. We came the night before Mother's Day, and they said they had 100 reservations for lunch and 100 for dinner for the next day! But tonight it was super chill and not as crowded as the last time we came on a Saturday night. We ordered cannoli for dessert for my sweetie's birthday, and it was very nice to see on the check that they comped it. Very delicious cannoli, with good quality chocolate chips. The only thing is that you would ask for it next time without raspberry sauce. It might look pretty, but it tastes more delicious just with vanilla, the chips and the shell. Overall, a very delicious meal and we look forward to coming again! Grazie Nino & everyone!

Bread for the table seasoned with olive oil and herbs - delicious! (Pairs great with their baked eggplant appetizer)

Experienced an excellent meal here, enjoying two of my favorite italian dishes. The location is a bit odd but there's parking and the picturesque interior makes up for the nondescript exterior. Food: The baked eggplant appetizer (INVOLTINI DI MELANZANE) came fresh out the oven literally still bubbling (!) and was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The seasoned complimentary bread for the table works great to sop up any extra tomato sauce and I recommend getting the side of garlic bread to accompany any pasta entrees. The Spicy Rigatoni sauce was lush and silky on fresh al dente pasta that somehow stayed hot in its serving dish throughout dinner. Our service was great and the space is beautiful. They have happy hours and even date night specials - will definitely be back!

And now I get why they've been consistently booked, great service, good food and reasonable price point. We were seated outside on the patio which was really cute but be warned there are flies because they don't use pesticides. Decor was super cute and reminiscent of Tuscany, very colorful, bright and vibrant. Service a was amazing, shoutout to Josh for making our experience that much better. He was attentive, really sweet and thought of things before I even asked. For example, he brought to go boxes before I had to say anything, love that attention to detail! I recorded the octopus, it was soft not chewy at all with a slight honey flavor. The burrata with eggplant was also really good, simple but executed perfectly. All the pastas as cooked in house and you can choose they type you want for your dish. Also, have to get the tiramisu which they make table side. The mascarpone was authentic and overall the dessert was not sweet at all, we finished every bite. My only criticism is that some of the plates were chipped on the edges. Change them if possible.

They have another terrific sister restaurant close by in Ocean Beach called Elvira so if you're a fan of this place, I would highly suggest them as well. Parking in this area is fairly easy. They offer valet in front, otherwise it's easy to find a free street spot, we were able to find one right across the street. The restaurant is not very large, but it's very quaint and feels like you are dining in someone's house. They have an indoor area as well as a heated outdoor area that is very pretty and feels like a garden. We sat outside and it was a really pleasant summer evening dinner. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. I started off with the Carpaccio and thought it was absolutely fantastic. Everything about it was perfect and the flavors were just top-notch. For my entrée, I chose the Paccheri Vodka and Scampi because I'm a huge fan of langoustines and creamy vodka sauce so this combo was perfect for me. I absolutely loved every part of this dish and would highly recommend. I would go back specifically for this. We finished with with the Tiramisu and that was a great end to the meal. Pricing is also fair and it's very romantic so it would be a great decision for a date. I would highly recommend and will be back many times in the future.
