One of my favorite things about Macs By Icky is that even after going months without visiting the store, they still remember me! The last time I stopped in, I ordered the Mac Nut Latte, and the guy at the register looked at me and said, "No Ube Latte today?" The Ube Latte is my usual go-to, so the fact that he remembered that made me smile. Today, I decided to switch things up and try their Genmaicha Matcha, and it did not disappoint! You can taste the subtle, nutty, toasted rice flavor infused with the matcha. You can genuinely tell how much thought, creativity, and experimentation go into developing each drink. This is their phin-dripped Vietnamese coffee and jasmine matcha tea. I had never seen this combination before. They're all things I love, so I was very intrigued. The L.A.C was delicious. I was told they only have medium and dark, but the medium tastes pretty light. I asked if the beans were washed or natural, and she couldn't tell me, and wasn't even sure what that was. I should have taken that as a warning that these beans were not the same level as Devout Coffee roasters beans, which is what I usually get. However, since Airborne was cheaper than the beans I usually get from Devout Coffee, I went ahead and bought a pound of Morning Buzz. This morning, I brewed a comparison between the Airborne Roasting Morning Buzz, and my last remaining light roast beans from Devout Coffee, which at that point was several months old, whereas the Airborne beans where freshly roasted. Well, even so, the Devout light roast beans were far superior in taste than the Airborne beans. The Airborne tasted too burnt, and lacked those subtle flavors that make coffee so enjoyable. It was just a one-note band with loud speakers. My recommendation is, if you like a light roast, and sophisticated flavors in your coffee, get something else. I understand a lot of people do enjoy the burnt flavor (Starbucks, anyone?), but I wish they wouldn't have told me the medium roast tasted like a light roast: it doesn't. Note: in the end, with lots of sugar, lots of milk, and some heavy whipping cream, I was able to have a nice cup of coffee-flavored sweetness.

It's served with their own Bo',a Vietnamese mayo, pickled shaved daikon, cucumber and carrot salad, ham. It's so good because the shiopan has acrunchy exteriorbut the sea salt flavor cuts the richness, and tangy pickled flavors of the fillings. This sandwich is delicious, so good and amazing! Menu today is 5/5. Another thing about their shiopan is they perfected their own techniques of creating a baguette substitute and saviry bread vessel. I bought their banh mi, and was so curious and planned to eat it later. After eating a few bites, it is so good. Their bakeshop and café is still quaint, and tgey have outside seating for patrons.
