My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. I ordered a latte and neglected to tell them it was for here so I was given a paper cup, but they give real cups if you ask. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. If I am in the neighborhood again, I would definitely come back here to try the gelato and/or a piece of an excellent looking lemon pie bar I spotted.

It was later in the day so they were out of or running low on some flavors. Nevertheless, the two flavors we tried were incredibly rich and flavorful. A little goes a very long way. Parking is incredibly tough in Little Italy but it is worth it for gelato this good.

I felt it was more of an experience as they started you with a palate cleanser and walked you through all the flavors, having you sample each one rather than you asking for specific samples like every other ice cream / gelato shop I've ever been to. They provided a description of each flavor and a sample. The flavors are definitely unique and most nothing like I've tried before. They change their menu every two weeks. There were two stations of flavors, so two parties being helped at one time. I can see how the wait can be long on weekends or summer evenings. The shop is small inside with a little bench by the window for seating and just three small tables outside. I was able to find parking a short walk away, but that could also be a challenge on a weekend. I ordered a tall cup with two flavors side by side (lingerie and ripstop). The gelato was creamy and delicious. I'd love to be able to come here again and try new flavors!

Damn. I love pizza…read more I really do. The issue here is that Gelati & Peccati has made it very difficult to enjoy other pizzas. It was so good that I've had to compartmentalize a bit so I can go about my life enjoying lesser pizza such that I can still kind of find a "bad" slice of greasy pizza satisfying. Anyway. Gelati & Peccati, roman-style pizza extraodinaires. I have tried a few of their slices by now, but my absolute favorite is the Lussuria. Potato on pizza is something I've always loved, and don't see enough of, so I knew I had to get it here. It did not disappoint. When I stop by to try something new, I always, always have to get a slice of Lussuria. Others I've tried have been the Meatball, Piccante and Mangia. They've all been great, but a step below Lussuria. 5/5, will come again, and again, and again

It is not fine dining but fast and casual. Perfect for a summer night with friends or family. Both times I visited from Chicago. I have never been to Italy, but I am fairly well traveled and have had my fair share of quality pizza. Gelati and Peccati offer a wide variety and great quality pizza. The ingredients are fresh, the employees are fresher and serve people well. While the place isn't always the most clean on the outside, they keep the inside pretty clean. I have left it at four stars because the gluten free pizza was not very good but I am pretty picky with my five star reviews. What more is there to say? If you're looking for some of the best pizza I've tried in the USA, this is the place for you. 8/8 would recommend to my mates.

There was hardly anyone in line when we walked in, but by the time we got our gelato and turned around, the line was out the door! I travel to Italy regularly for work, so I've had my fair share of authentic gelato. I have to say, the quality and flavors here were outstanding. Rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. What made the experience even better was the staff. One of the employees was incredibly friendly, energetic, and genuinely passionate about the gelato. He encouraged us to sample flavors, asked what kinds of flavors we enjoyed, and made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. It felt like talking with a wine sommelier--someone who truly understood flavor and wanted us to find the perfect match. You could tell he genuinely loved his job, and that enthusiasm made the whole experience even more memorable. We took our gelato outside, sat at one of the sidewalk tables, and spent the evening people-watching. It was the perfect way to end a beautiful San Diego night. The shop itself is casual, with just a few seats inside and several tables outside. It's a great stop whether you're on a date, out with friends, or enjoying a family night in Little Italy. Definitely a five-star experience. I'll be back the next time I'm in San Diego.

I sampled Rose Almond (Lebanese Rose Water with Organic Almond Butter), Pure Watermelon and Stracciatella. The Rose Almond was fragrant, Pure Watermelon refreshing and Stracciatella was a classic. My favorite combination is the pistachio with the coffee gelato. The two flavors complement each other perfectly and are a must-try if you're deciding between flavors. One thing that always makes me smile is that the gelato is stored in the classic stainless steel cylinder containers instead of being piled high in display cases. Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like that's a sign the gelato is going to be extra fresh and high quality The service was also great.
