Would you trust anyone who shows no respect towards their clients and repeatedly fails to uphold their own words to perform anything on your face? I had scheduled an appointment with them and asked whether the visit would be free or if I decided not to proceed. They said they'd charge $199 for the consultation. I expressed my uncertainty about this and they assured me that they'd waive the fee but still charge me for a no-show, which is fair. However, when I was in an Uber to their office the next day, they messaged me to reschedule the appointment for the following day. I explained that I was already on my way, and their response was that they could accommodate me but the appointment would start 30 minutes late, allowing me only 20 minutes. I decided to cancel and asked for reimbursement of my $23 Uber fare since the change was made at such a short notice. A fantastic option for injectables! I moved to NYC last year and was looking for someone to top off Juvederm I'd had done in California and Dr. Chugh was able to assess exactly what I was talking about and the work that had been done previously, and build on top of it beautifully. I came back 2 months later to get additional fillers under my eyes and they turned out SO well. I just re-visited for my annual filler update on my nasolabial folds and cheeks, and it went great. I don't love the whole needles-in-my-face-thing and take an extra long time to numb up from a topical cream, and Dr. Chugh has been super flexible on both fronts and has squeeze balls and extra ice packs and other devices to distract or provide a secondary sensation on your skin so you don't focus on the needle pricks as much. I've had zero bruising from any of the injections, and have received great aftercare. I also really appreciate that she'll also tell you when to stop, and even when I've asked about additional Juvederm in my lips or cheeks she let me know it's not necessary and would provide no real benefit to me beyond what I had already (when other doctors would've easily taken the money). So it's always good to have a doctor who'll advocate for a reasonable and subtle stopping point for treatment, so your face never looks like you've obviously had work done. read more

While the Botox I received was good - no pain, no bruising and results look great, it was pricey considering the rest of my experience was less than what I would have expected for such a price. For example, Dr. Chugh arrived almost 30 min late for my appointment.Then she asked if it was okay if she took another patient (who arrived after me and stated to the receptionist that the time of her appointment was after mine) first. I would have let that slide as everyone deserves to be late every now and then, but I also didn't like than when I called to cancel my follow-up appointment, I was told that even though it was a free appointment, I would be charged a $100 cancellation fee (for a free appointment) unless I provided a doctor's note. I had to wait 2 hours to hear back about whether or not they would "waive the fee as a one time courtesy." I understand that an office needs notice before people cancel for no reason or just not show up, but you also need to be reasonable. If someone calls in the morning to cancel a free follow up because they are sick, they should not have to risk getting charged. In the end, I was not charged, but I don't think it was handled professionally. Update: After I posted this review, Dr. Chugh has proceeded to text, call and e-mail me several times. This is review is overdue and much deserved. I have been going to Dr. Chugh for almost a year now, and she is absolutely wonderful. I whole heartedly trust and recommend her for both filler and botox. Gives options and prices in the treatment room and tells you what you will and won't benefit from. Actually talked me out of a procedure that she didn't think would help me when she could have done it. Also there was a little faux pax with the check out and the doctor dealt with it personally which showed me that she cares about her patient's experiences outside of the consult. The botox is more pricey than I have had, but this is New York, and it's one of the best I have had and is still going strong after three months. It never settled in and I was left with painful lumps and bumps throughout my top and bottom lip. I was nervous before my appointment; it was my first time getting anything done (I got Botox in my forehead) plus I hate the hard sell plus I'm terrified of needles. But Dr. Chugh was kind, patient, and didn't try to push anything I didn't need or want on me. Knowing I was afraid of needles, she was careful to make sure I didn't see anything, plus she checked in on me during the entire process. She was light-handed; I could barely feel anything. I'm very satisfied with the results; I still have a little mobility in my forehead so I don't look like an expressionless freak, but the wrinkles I was worried about forming are much less visible.
