It's an indoor outdoor store restaurant with a walk up window to order and outdoor covered bench seating. It gets busy here. A small but powerful little joint. The coffee, oh... oh the coffee. Cafe con leche. Delicious. I had two. We had a great lunch here with their specialty bring the Cuban sandwich. Just delicious with fantastic prices, helpful attentive staff. They have a blackboard with all of their offerings which are numbered. This makes ordering at the window more efficient as you just state the number you want. The best Cuban Coffee. We walked from our hotel on Eaton street to just get this coffee. Better than any places in Key West. We had Cafe con leche, just like Spain! We also had Authentic Cuban Sandwich, never had it before so I can't tell you it's authentic or not, but it was delicious. Warm light bread with pulled pork, ham, cheese and pickles. Other than one staff member who didnt realize a northerner with a Boston accent spoke Spanish and would respond to his comment about the complexity of the order with ease, everyone else I interacted with was friendly and accomodating. By day three the woman who I assume is the owner knew my order. When you want an ice coffee- and you do because thats why you're reading this- ask for an Americano over ice. I had their "Authentic Cuban Sandwich" and it just wasn't good. The bread was toasted nicely, but was bland. The meet, cheese , and dressing tasted and felt cheap. I'd prefer to eat Subway. Grocery well stocked, product front faced... like Grocery stores used to be. Cuban Cafe inside offering breakfast and lunch. Food is exceptionally priced for the area, 60% less than the nearby resorts and so much tastier. This place was so cute and quaint and unassuming. It was directly across from our hotel so we stopped by for lunch. I got the rope vieja platter with rice beans and plantains. SO much food for the price!!! And did I try to eat it all anyway yes. The meat was super tender and flavorful, and paired perfect with the rice and beans and plantains. We visited several times during our vacation in Key West. This eatery was a short walk from our hotel. The Cafe Con Leche, top notch, so very good! Freshly squeezed lemonade hit the spot on the hot afternoons. Breakfast sandwiches on Cuban bread, were delicious. The family who operates this space, you can tell they enjoy what they do, are friendly and greet you with a smile. Outside seating only, there are picnic tables, etc under cover, in the shade. We also went inside their little grocery shop next door of the same building. The staff behind the deli counter were very nice. It does NOT disappoint and in fact, its kinda incredible! The Cafe con leche is perfectly balanced being thick and creamy, with caramel sweetness and complex coffee bitterness - it really is an excellent way to have coffee. I went for a medium and glad I did because a large may have been too much - the flavor is so rich and satisfying it took me a while to get through a cup. We went early in the day a little after sunrise and the line was already 3 people deep and growing - so be warned this place is popular in the morning. They work fast as they can to get out the orders, but the guy taking the orders also makes the coffee - it tends to be a process. So have patience and it will be rewarded! read more

I drove past Ana's The Conch and Cuban Café a few times on Saturday morning while exploring this end of Key West and there was a line outside the takeout window every time I went by. A little later I had this craving for Café con Leche and know I had to go back. There were two people ahead of me ordering coffee and a few families sitting on the porch waiting for their orders... perfect timing. The woman at the takeout window was warm and friendly and indulged my very broken attempt at Spanish. I had their Large Café con Leche ($3.00) a Papa Rellena ($3.50) and a Chicken Empanada ($4.50). The Café con Lech arrived first and the large was large, it was piping hot and when I opened the lid it was topped with a light mocha colored foam and the coffee was strong, creamy and slightly sweet (like I ordered it). I was exactly what I wanted and maybe one of the best café con leche I've had. The Papa Rellena was a crispy, nicely browned fried ball about the size of my fist; it was crunchy on the outside and inside was a creamy, smooth mashed potato filling and in the center was a filling of seasoned ground beef it was a very fine grind and smoother in texture than I've had before but really delicious. The chicken empanada was a big half round pastry filled spiced chicken; it was hot and flavorful with a nice mix of filling and crunchy pastry. The staff was really friendly; the food was amazing and it's a great value for the price. Next time I'm back in Key West I'll be one of the first places I go. read more

Okay first cafe bustelo is "cuban style" but not actually from Cuba, so saying real Cuban coffee might be misleading? Coffee is made with sugar so giving me a black coffee with no milk no sugar I think I can get that in my kitchen.
