My dog doesn't like being approached randomly by dogs so being around off leashed dogs is always a risk. We do extensive research when going to beaches for her since she loves digging and swimming. Overall it was a very clean beach and we love how spread out it was for our reactive dog. It is on the the top list of dog beaches for us to visit!

The pavilion was nice and covered perfect for our big picnic! Right next to us was the bathrooms, shop, and little restaurant. We were able to change easily into our bathing suits to go swim at the beach and my friend was even able to buy a bikini from the store since she forgot one - so convenient! The beach is beautiful and the water is stunning, be prepared to walk across a lot of sand to get to the water part. After swimming, we went to get some ice cream from the shop, and I got a root beer float, which was good. Overall, such a nice time!

Between the scenery, the clean beach, and the family friendly setup, this is an easy five star stop. Would come back again without thinking twice.

A little confusing that this is listed both on Yelp and on Apple Maps as "Saint Augustine Beach…read morePier" because the sign at the location says "The St. John's County Ocean & Fishing Pier." It's $2 to walk out on the pier ("Sightseeing", per the sign) but it's worth it. It's a beautiful view! Today was incredibly windy - so bad that I had trouble holding my binoculars in place while looking for birds. But I was able to log 9 bird species while there, just watching them fly by and/or on the beach. There are benches for sitting, but they did have the end of the pier blocked off. See other reviewers for speculation on why. There's also a pretty popular Farmer's Market that sets up every Wednesday in the parking lot in front of the pier. It's popular enough that we witnessed traffic bottleneck there, so be mindful of that.

I noticed this beach allows you to park on the sand with a car pathway only. I noticed soo many beautiful jeeps on the beach. This beach also allows you to bring your dogs. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The beach is soft sand and easy to walk on. There are many people walking on the beach in the morning. Some are also on bicycles. The view is great. Thete are many restaurants, shops, gas stations, hotels, drug stores, and bars. It's a mini-city. It's a lot more quiet than St. Augustine.

As we were walking along the shore, 4 sea turtles came right up to the edge. Just be careful. A person who had been swimming away from the crowd away from the shore said he was bitten by a shark, and we saw a jagged cut with blood running down his foot.
