Off the bat, I won't lie I got some "Applebee's" type feelings from the place, but I wasn't going to pass judgment on a place simply by how it looks, my mother taught me better! But granted you could probably argue that for a lot of American bistro style restaurants that try to have that hometown local feel to it with all the stuff hanging on the walls. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, our server especially, Alexa, really felt like she was going out her way to check in on us and how everything was which did feel nice. For food we started with the spinach artichoke dip, a classic and this one was just as good as I've had anywhere, but most importantly they give you plenty of chips! For entrees, I went with the Philly cheesesteak and my girlfriend went with the brisket French dip with mozzarella cheese. Both were delicious but I think my girlfriend beat me this time with her choice! The choice of brisket over a typical roast beef is an interesting one for a French dip, but I do love a good brisket and this one was certainly tasty. The Philly wasn't you're traditional cheesesteak either, but it scratched my itch (but do be warned that thing comes out HOT!). Both came with a deceivingly large basket of fries that were fresh and crispy and a nice salty to compliment to our sandwiches. I really enjoyed trying this one and they had a bunch of interesting specials that I contemplated trying too, which makes me eager to come back again and see what other new tasty options they might have in store!

Solid 3 stars. My…read morefiancé and I stopped in for lunch. We started with the calamari, which was pretty basic. We didn't find anything special about it that would make us want to order it again. Also, no tentacles...just rings. For my entree I chose a boil. For my boil I had scallops, head off shrimp, and black mussels in the cajun claws blend medium spice. It also came with corn and baby potatoes. My boil did not have any spice at all. It was quite mild. I was disappointed in this as I was really looking for that spice. There was no oomph! My fiancé said his lobster spaghetti was flavorless; no taste in the sauce at all. His meal also came with shrimp and scallops. The scallops were not whole, they were split in half. For drinks, he ordered "Bikini" which was supposed to be served in a pouch, which it was not. I had "Tropical." Drinks had decent flavor. Our waitress was attentive. We did agree that we'd return but definitely order something else.

I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning incident that occurred during my recent visit…read moreto your Cajun Claw establishment in Patchogue, New York. I was dining with my two children, my 11-year-old son and my 4-year-old daughter. During our meal, when our server approached to take drink orders, my four-year-old daughter specifically requested a "blue drink." The server noted this request and subsequently delivered a beverage matching the description. After my daughter had consumed a significant portion of the drink, she commented that it tasted funny. Out of an abundance of caution, I tasted the drink myself and was immediately alarmed to detect the distinct presence of alcohol. I promptly brought this critical issue to the attention of our server, explaining my grave concern that my four-year-old child had been inadvertently served an alcoholic beverage. To my dismay, the server initially dismissed my concerns, asserting that she had personally witnessed the bartender prepare the drink and that it contained no alcohol, further suggesting my daughter could continue consuming it. Given the unmistakable taste of alcohol, I reiterated my certainty and insisted that she re-verify with the bartender, even offering for her to smell the drink herself. It was only after this insistence that she consulted the bartender, who then confirmed that the beverage did indeed contain alcohol. The gravity of this situation rapidly escalated. Due to my daughter's consumption of alcohol and her subsequent physical discomfort, I was compelled to contact emergency services. Both paramedics and law enforcement officers responded to the scene. My daughter was then transported to the hospital, where medical professionals confirmed she was experiencing alcohol intoxication, described as being "tipsy." The incredulity expressed by the attending police officers regarding a four-year-old being in such a state underscored the profound negligence and potential danger of this incident. This experience has left me profoundly shaken and outraged. The fact that a child could be inadvertently served an alcoholic drink in a family restaurant is, in my view, an inexcusable breach of safety protocols and trust. This entire horrifying ordeal was entirely preventable with proper communication, attentiveness, and rigorous adherence to responsible service practices. I am now left with a deep sense of mistrust regarding the safety of beverages served to children, and I urge your establishment to conduct an immediate and thorough review of your procedures to ensure such a catastrophic oversight never occurs again.

Especially, since I hear their first location closed. I've always like both of them. They had killer paninis and the staff was always fun. We were given a private side area where we had some bar food, pasta, chicken and eggplant. Everything was delish. From what I understand they still hold community event here. It's something I always admired about the spot. I would def come back if in the area!

We later realized they offer $8 appetizers during happy hour on other nights, which made the promotion feel a little less special. The appetizers (Mozzetta Triangles and Pretzel Nuggets) were the highlight of the meal and were much better than the entrees. Unfortunately, the entrees took an unusually long time to arrive, we eventually had to ask about them because we thought they had been forgotten. The menu is also a bit pricier than we're used to, and the food quality didn't justify the cost. On the positive side, the ambiance was nicer than expected. The bar and dining areas are spacious, and there are two outdoor seating sections, one enclosed and one open. The outdoor space, in particular, seemed like it would be a great place to host a party, with plenty of seating and a comfortable layout.
