We loved it when the food was made by PDX Sliders. But last night we ate there for the first time since Ancestry got rid of PDX Sliders and started making their own food. It was not good. Super greasy and had very little flavor. We weren't asked how we wanted our burgers cooked and they all came out way over cooked. To top it off all 3 of us got sick from the food including my 9 year old. Oh and I can't forget to add that the service was incredibly slow. Once we ordered our food we waited an hour for it to be served. We had already waited 30min for a table (which is fine) but and hour for food is frustrating. Bring back PDX Sliders! They used to have the food out in 10min since they had a food truck type mentality. read more

Great service, great food! The staff here makes the experience even better, they work together great and i can be in and out fast and easy. They don't rush you but they make sure you have what you want and need without you having to ask them. Restaurants like this are hard to find! Very clean industrial looking space. Very busy on a Saturday night. Had difficulty parking and they have a large parking lot. Seems very popular with young families. I would like to see some of the old flavors back, because I sought out going regularly before and now it's an after thought location. We were ignored by the staff for over twelve minutes after we were seated. It seemed that the staff didn't know what their job was. The waitress delivered beers to the patrons at the bars, while the bar tender sat there doing nothing. Another waitress at the next table spent five minutes putting in an order and then poured her own beer for the table. I counted six employees and nobody seemed to be covering several tables. This brewery is in desperate need of a manager or the bartenders should focus on the bar and the beer while the waiters and waitresses should focus on serving the tables. Went there last night after a 3 month layoff. Things certainly have changed, luckily not the beer. That was the good, now for the bad. Where do I start oh yeah PDX is gone! The burgers were pretty much unseasoned and along with the fries we're cold. The staff seems to rotate like the seasons and I don't need you at my table every 5 minutes. I do know how to ask politely if I need anything else. Asked for grilled onions, but even that was to much to ask for. So go for the beers and eat somewhere else. read more

This is a great little local spot to head out to for date or family night. We bring our two year old for dinner and the food and service are great here. If you're a seafood lover I recommend the Ono or Salmon burger. Both have great flavor and are not overly salted. read more

The beer and ambiance are still great, but the new menu is heavy on fried food, and I mean heavy. Most things on the menu are deep-fried in a very rich batter. That is ok for some items, but there is very little on the menu to counter-balance. The fish n chips, for instance, does not come with a fresh cole slaw, as is common elsewhere. The "fresh fruit" with the kids' meals is -- no kidding -- a prepackaged Dole fruit cup. That was unbelievable to me. Yet, on the plus side, the place uses Portland Ketchup Co. ketchup. Go figure? Stopped here with my husband for a mid-day lunch. This is a nice casual brewery with very friendly service that's close to home for us. My husband really enjoyed an English Mild beer and I had cider which hit the spot. Roasted beet salad was the bomb. Sweet potato fries were also delish. My husband had a grilled chicken sandwich which he gave a thumbs up. We would definitely repeat another lunch or dinner visit. Nothing fancy just a great Oregon neighborhood brewery. If visiting in winter weather, dress in layers, because the industrial building with high ceilings gets a little chilly. read more

LOVED this place when they had PDX Sliders. Stopped in last week and ordered two burgers...they were brought out so well-done we could hardly chew through them. Ended up being trapped there for almost two hours because after we got our food we couldn't seem to get anyone's attention to get a check...despite the place only being half-full). I got the beer sampler - they had a very good bourbon barrel stout and a very good pale ale (pale whale ). The food was very good. Between my wife and two kids? Ok, so the beer was pretty good and the vibe was ok. That's a 3 star right? The bartender was kind of brash. The beer was good. She told us that an order of fries would DEFINITELY be enough for us to split. It was a pretty lame order of fries. Not great quality or portion. Not worth the price of em, that's for sure. But the beer itself was pretty delicious. She was actually pretty chill about sampling which was nice. I was able to order a beer I knew I would enjoy which I really appreciate. Struggling between a 3 and a 4 star. Ok, by the end of this review, I'm going back to 4 star. Poor quality food with a high price point. We had the Canberra hamburger which was quite disappointing: very little mushroom, beef was low grade & unevenly cooked, bun was mushy & cheap while the fries were cold. Most certainly not a $14 burger. Waiter was nice enough but no real 'service'. Water station is set up so you can get your own refills, paper towels are in a dispenser set on the table & the bathrooms could have used a little more attention. Just came back from Ancestry for lunch and me and my buddy were woefully unimpressed. We were alerted when we walked in that they just updated their menu and they were very excited for it.... New flash to the owners, they shouldn't have. I had the Texas Burger and my friend had a chicken burger, and after the first bite we both looked at each other and said simultaneously, "Dry?" Both of the meals were totally overcooked. On top of that, our fries tasked like they were fried in the same oil as the fish. Gross. I think what made me most mad was the fact that the Texas burger claimed to on the menu to have "onion rings" on it... just a heads up guys, four GRILLED onions aren't what people think of when they see "onion rings," but I guess you got me, they were rings, and they were onions, so technically you didn't lie. While the food wasn't good, I will say the experience wasn't all bad. We had a great server, place was clean, cool location, and a good choice of beers. Will I come back here for food? No way in hell. For a beer? I'd probably do that. Pros: Staff Clean and good space View Good Beers Décor Cons: Food Food and Food! Bottom line, avoid if you are hungry. I am updating my review. My wife and I go here often. The service was pretty good, but has been very good the last 5-10 times we have gone. The food has always been good and we have tried pretty much everything on the menu. The beer selection is one of the best if not the best in the area, especially if you like dark beer. I appreciate the wide variety of beer options. You will have to wait for a table during peak times, but that should be expected at a good restaurant. read more

This was our fourth visit to this location and the first three were great. Tonight not so much. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table, which normally isn't a problem, except a number of tables in the restaurant sat empty while we waited. Once seated our server was nice, and like every other visit understanding of my wife's food allergies as she took our order. That is the end of the good parts of the review. After that, sat for another 45 minutes waiting for our food. Never was asked if we'd like another drink, server only visited our table once to let us know our food should be coming soon, the burgers we're dry, a bug crawled out of the lettuce of my wife's burger. Condiments were not as ordered, and the salad which wasn't delivered with the meal was wrong when it did come. Obviously I don't think this is typical of this restaurant since this is our 4th visit in a couple of months, but we probably won't be going back again soon after tonight's ordeal.
