This place is a chain with several locations in DC. Don't let that deter you from trying it out. Many nights I have worked late and not had time to cook when I get home and this place is a few blocks away and my go to for a quick and delicious dinner. The pizzas are rectangular and rn in the ten dollar range for their signature pies. I am a fan of the Maverick, which has several types of meat and is finished of with a garlic basil oil. You can also create your own pizza and there is a multitude of foodie options for doing so. Service is quick and friendly and the process of getting the pizza from order to check out is quick. So if there is a line jump in there as you will not have to wait a long time. read more

I can't believe that after living in DC for 5ish+ years I just discovered &pizza. Since this discovery which was last week, I have been here twice and I'm pretty sure there will be more outings to this location from moi in the future. You can make your own pizza for less than $10. If you are veggie, &pizza is you place to go. They have a variety of both veggie toppings and (for meat eaters like me) they also have a good selection of protein. If you are someone who likes to put EVERYTHING on their pizza then just pick away. If, however, you like to just add pepperoni, cheese, and jalapenos (more simple) you can also just do that and the pizza still tastes delicious. I love that you can make your pizza a little healthier with their multi-grain dough option. Oh almost forgot!!! They have a few menus before you get in line. THIS REVIEW DESERVES NO STARS. I came to this store around 9:30-9:45pm and coming through the door it smelled like marijuana. So as I got to the area where u order your pizza at, there was no one around for at least 3mins. I notice a lot of silver tops on the items where I select my toppings. Once a worker acknowledged me I asked where u guys closed and she said no where just out of a lot food. I didn't care that they was out of food I just wanted a pizza. Then all they had was white dough I went to the bathroom and immediately I noticed a real foul smell. It was old paper towels on the floor, no toilet tissue, and the sink was dirty. Look like the bathroom was cleaned all day. Once my pizza was coming out, it wasn't even fully cooked and it was placed rite in the box.NOT EVEN CUT. I asked to speak to a manager and was told by a girl with dread locs that she was the manager. I said I would of never notice because you where on your phone handling your personal business. I wanted to sit down and eat but the chairs in the window was up and the table in the middle look like they wasn't cleaned all day. You would think the restaurant closed at 10p.m how everyone was cleaning. I over heard the manager say she been here all day. Well if u don't like your job STAY HOME. This place needs a UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT sign over top of it. Cause it's going down hill pretty face. I will never return to this location. Poor service, workers on there phone, and the smell of marijuana don't mix with great pizza. read more

The first time I ordered from & pizza, the service I received wasn't the best. My order was incorrect, and I was highly disappointed. After contacting customer service, they resolved the issue effectively and immediately. I decided to order from them a second time since the customer service I received was excellent. I'm not a huge pizza fan, but this was an awesome place. My friend and I were just walking past and decided to eat here and I'm glad we did. We got here right before the lunch hour rush, thank God, however they are really efficient so the line wasn't as bad as it looked. I've seen places like this before and I didn't appreciate that the ingredients weren't very fresh and that there were pesky flies getting on the food. The pizza was okay just not as good as I expected. You couldn't really taste the crust and it was not worth the price. I don't think this place deserves no more than 2 stars. read more

Gone are the days of sacrificing what your palate wants because no one else likes onions or goat cheese. Here you can have your very own pizza made exactly how YOU like it. Similar to a Subway setup, you choose your crust and load it with as many toppings as you'd like. There are different cheeses, veggies, and proteins (chicken, pepperoni, shrimp, etc) to allow you to create a masterpiece your tastebuds will thank you for. They then load your pizza onto a rack that moves through an oven. Once it comes out on the other side, you can add things like arugula, various cheese crumbles, and drizzles of balsamic or other sauces. The crust is thin but doesn't become cracker crunchy in the oven. It's a perfect texture with crispy edges. This is definitely a great spot to eat! And their craft sodas are very good, too. I liked this little hole in the wall pizza place. It had a very unique vibe, I have never been to pizza place like this one. I ordered the mystic moon pizza and it was AMAZING!!! All of the pizzas where the same price, and if you wanted to make your own pizza you can do that. Add toppings to a pizza they have our just build it the way you want it. Pizza was average, homemade soda was okay no diet option and service was nonexistent. For a make your own pizza place, a topping so basic as cheddar cheese shouldn't be only for 1 type of pizza lol. &Pizza is a counter style ordering (like subway) where you walk the line and tell them what you'd like on your pizza. Pizza's are about $9 per pizza. It was very busy and small, but managed to get a seat inside. Boyfriend loved it but I thought mine needed a little more cheese or toppings as it was too saucey. I'm not ordinarily a fan of Flatbread pizzas...but of they were all made this way, I'd change my mind pretty quickly. Went here after some hours at the spy museum with the family. We split two pizzas and a salad, which was enough for the four of us. We had one pizza with the two types of pesto, and the second with alfredo and standard tomato. Toppings included meatballs, pepperoni, bacon, and arugula. Caprese salad had fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, all very good. Soda choices were unusual... don't go here if you must have diet coke (as the woman next to us complained). But if you're up to burdock root beer with anise (think root beer with licorice), then this is the place to go. read more

The review that called &Pizza the Chipotle of pizza couldn't be more spot on. They offer delicious, made to order pizzas. You can choose from their pre-designed "signature" pizzas or do a create your own pizza. Between the 3 of us we tried the Gnarlic (my favorite), Maverick, and Farmers Daughter. All of the pizzas we got were so good and we even had 3/4 of a pizza leftover (and that's with me and 2 big eaters). Great prices too; I wish we had one local. read more

Wowww! What an awesome place! Super filling, fluffy and amazing crust, awesome toppings/selection, and a pretty reasonable price. The wait was actually not too bad despite the line looking pretty long. It was actually good because then we could study the menu of toppings for a while. It is very clear what options you have and what costs extra (only things that are extra are gluten-free crust and shrimp; otherwise, unlimited toppings for no extra charge!). You start off with choice of crust, cheese, and sauce. I got the traditional crust (it was amazing), classic tomato sauce, and mozzarella (they crumbled up the ball of mozz, not the shredded kind for the one I chose). I then chose my veggie toppings: spinach, mushroom, roasted red peppers, and grilled onions. All amazing choices. Would highly recommend. Then we moved on to the protein section. I only chose to get the Italian sausage but you can as many meats as you want! It then bakes in the oven which does not take long at all and then you can put on the finishings! I just got arugula which i LOVE! I also got the garlic oil on top which I liked. Everything together was great. Definitely my dream topping combination! The only downside was the lack of seating. It was very small (less than 15 people could sit inside to eat). Even though we went at night when it was pretty cold, it didn't feel too bad out so we sat at their table outside! I would say that it was as bit strange that they only offered one size of pizza for near $10, but I didn't mind and ate near the entire thing. Bottom line, it was quick and delicious. read more

Stopped by on a busy Fourth of July with the line wrapped around to the door. I attribute 90% of the problems to the holiday but still.. One large table inside, we had to strategically judge when people were leaving so someone in our group of 3 could go snatch the seats before someone else could. I was eating elbow to elbow with the people next to me, playing battle of the table with my pizza box with the person in front of me.. It would have been tolerable were I able to get a beer but no. On the Fourth of July, in our nation's capital, in America, at a pizza place, they decided to not sell beer... So I settled for soda with no ice because the ice machine quit working. One pizza is a great snack for two, or entre for one. They also have an interesting assortment of home made soda flavors such as: ginger berry lemonade, burdock & anise root beer, and citrus tangerine fizz. The pizza was ridiculous. The restaurant has a cool concept and efficient workflow system but there was way too much sauce and too many ingredients on these overpriced 'zas to be worthwhile. Boyfriend and I were starving and so wolfed down a gnarlic and moonstruck. But we hated doing it. We looked at each other with anger in our eyes and too much garlic taste in our mouths. It was horrible but we were very hungry. We will never come back to this fast casual restaurant ever again. read more

This might be my all time favorite concept for a pizza place: individual pizzas that are self designed. They let you pick all of the toppings you want on your pie (including sauce and cheese) and then after a brief wait, you've got your pie. The best part is that they have ample vegan options, including vegan cheese and soy meats. Reasonably priced too. Would love it if they came up to Boston. I would definitely go again the next time I am in the DC area. read more
