I paid for a deep tissue thinking more fingers and a proper massage technique would be used. I also expressed I did not like a long dry massage (when they massage on top of the bedsheet). Needless to say none of my preferences were taken into account. At best this was a slightly upgraded rub down that even my mom can do. Used 80% forearm and elbow which I hated and also requested kneading multiple times during the massage. She would do it for a few brief minutes and get back to the forearm, elbow, or basic pressing. It was terrible especially after experiencing world class technique and relaxation in Jamaica a few months ago. I still hesitantly tipped 8 bucks to make it an even $80 when I really wanted to tip 0. The receptionist questioned why and I explained to her all of the above and she simply said oh no she can't use her fingers the entire time and that I need to ask for a shiatsu massage. I don't think that was even on the menu. In my head I was thinking she barely even spent 5% of the time using her fingers. All in all, the recent negative reviews were accurate and similar experience to mine. I returned after many years due to convenience and hoping it would be a better experience this time. Today I had the massage therapist named Helen again(DO NOT GET HELEN). I told her to make her massage a little harder 4x because I asked for Swedish massage but she would make the massage harder for a little while then she would go back to the touching massage with no pressure at all. After the massage, I just felt like I paid someone to apply oil in my body. I wasted $65 plus I tipped her $10 anyway because I am not a bad person, but I told the lady in the reception I was not happy. Last time that I was here. I had Helen also and that time she kept rubbing my back with oil instead of massaging my back and because of the friction it created ,my back turned red and sore. Today when she was massaging me, she was doing the same thing again and I had to tell her not to do it again. The only reason I went back there was because the other massage place we were supposed to go to cancelled our appointment. All Helen did was apply oil to my back and my legs and my arms and rub my body. No Swedish massage at all was given to me, just rubbing oil . I am never ever going back to that place again and PLEASE DO NOT GET HELEN as your massage therapist. She is lazy. I wasted money and time. Words of advice- if you're not happy with your massage therapist, ask for a replacement. Also, if the massage therapist that you have had massaged you before and you were not happy with the service before,ask for someone else, don't be like me because I tried to be nice, I agreed to have Helen again. We are paying them money and we worked for that money,too. We don't deserve to be pissed after a massage. We didn't pay to be pissed, we paid so we can relax. BTW, Helen lied to the lady in the reception, maybe she knew I was gonna complain because she noticed my unhappiness while she was massaging me, she told the lady I wanted "less pressure," I even had someone having a massage with me in the room who heard that I told HELEN "more harder" massage. Walked in for 60 mins couples massage - my husband paid for it prior to starting. My massage felt so-so. My husband on the other hand was pissed - his masseuse stopped massaging multiple times to be on her phone, and when she was "massaging" only used one hand (so that she can continue to be on her phone), and hardly used any pressure or strength. So he walked out after his "massage." I went to tip $20 cash, and my husband's masseuse asked if I was going to tip for him. I told her that he was upset she was touching her phone the whole time, she looked guilty and said sorry. Side note: I did only tip MY masseuse, but even $20 split between 2 is over 15%. Insane tip entitlement for subpar services. Won't be going back, we only decided to go here because we didn't want to drive the extra 20 mins to a different spa open past 7pm, take your money and make the extra 20 mins drive. read more

I bought a gift card here for my moms birthday and finally decided to go together and use it. We paid before our massage and then, after our massage, we came outside to pay tip and the lady at the front desk said I already told her to put $20 on the gift card for tip when I first bought it and she wrote it down. I'm sorry, what? I never told her to put a $20 tip into the gift card that I bought for someone else. That makes no sense. She clearly scammed me and made me question myself that I really would put a tip on a gift card? What if we didn't like our massage? What if something went wrong? Tipping is for after the service. Even when I told her I didn't she kept saying I did and wouldn't allow me to give cash. But if I say no the first time and I want to give cash then she should remove that $20, especially because they didn't charge the gift card yet. Why are you fighting a customer over tip? I don't know how that makes sense to even do to put tip in a gift card. This place is just horrible with their service and the lady in the front literally fights you. Even tipping the $15 minimum they have on their sign is looked down upon. *my massage was very painful and not pleasant. 10/10 experience here. They offer so many services with super affordable prices. I loved the jacuzzi and sauna room. Was able to get a same day appointment because the receptionist was so responsive and wonderful to work with. When I arrived for my appointment, they took my credit card and charged me up front ($2 surcharge for credit card), I found this odd-- how was I going to add tip? They said pay now, tip after. 60minute Massage was very nice (although she never asked me any questions about pressure, focus, or areas to avoid) and I liked the soothing music. Afterwards, I wanted to tip but decided to go with cash (given the credit card surcharge) -- I asked them to break my $20 bill but they took the bill and pointed to a sign saying they expect $15 or $20 tip (for 60min $60 massage)-- and they wouldn't give me the change I asked for. I told them if they have a gratuity amount requirement, they need to be upfront about it; its wrong to take my money and refuse to give me change. I've been going to this place for a couple years on and off. This was probably hands down the worst massage I've ever had and I get weekly massages. Alice was my masseuse I guess this was her first time from what my friend's masseuse told me. I probably asked her to increase the pressure 7 tImes. She did not. She almost pulled out my tape in extensions and I had literally get up and tell her to stop. She couldn't even use the hot stones properly! She told me she was leaving to get towels and was gone for over 5 minutes and came back with no towels and just used the ones my friend's masseuse brought. Upon leaving, the manager/owner asked if I was planning to tip her and I said absolutely not because that was the worst massage I've ever received and a waste of my 1.5 hours. The owner/manager literally gasp'd in disbelief. I told her that Alice needs to be trained better and she literally was smirking the whole time. IDK I would be cautious coming here. Only heard of this place from Groupon. The deal looked great at first but when I called them to ask about their pricing, they gave us a better deal. It was $99.99 for 2 people for an hour. We made an appointment the same day in the afternoon. The place where it was located was a little ghetto, in my opinion, but the inside was totally different. We had to fill out this small form asking us our name and which areas we wanted the massagers to focus on. We were then led to our room that had a tub for their hydrotherapy session. She explained to us what hydrotherapy included and how much it would be. The massage, overall, was pretty good. I always get light headed and dizzy right after the massage though. That's the one thing I don't look forward to. My BF loves head massages and he thought they should have focused more on head massage. That's something he'll request the next time we go. My massager had really soft hands. Whenever she would use her elbows, it'd hurt though. I didn't like how she smelled strong of cigarettes and perfume. The ambiance of the room was okay. The music was calming and made me almost sleep. I didn't like their massage table though. The bed wasn't really soft and the area where our faces was supposed to go was only covered with napkins. There was also a metal that kept touching my face and made it really uncomfortable for me. Another thing I didn't like happened when we first came in, she immediately asked me how I would like to pay, cash or credit card. My husband and I came here for a couple's massage and hydrotherapy. When I called to confirm our appointment the day of, the person at reception was so incredibly rude. I gave her my name and phone number, after which she was practically yelling at me that if I didn't give her my name and phone number, she wouldn't be able to check my appointment. I calmly explained that I was trying to give it to her- after I did so, she told me, "yes, your name is Nina, and your phone number is...(not the correct name or phone number)." I had to correct her and double check again that it would be okay for my husband and I to come in today. The location is sketchy- it's in a good area, but the surrounding shops are questionable. It's literally in between a gun shop, a pawn shop, and a porn store- who even knew these still existed? The parking lot is completely torn up, too. No qualms about the actual service- this is a clean, cute, well-lit facility. The masseuses had gentle, soothing hands, providing a non-painful massage for both of us. The hydrotherapy tub was in the same room as the massage and had jets and heart lights for display on the ceiling- a nice touch. I didn't completely hate the experience. She literally fights and argues for paying tips to your masseurs and she wants to know how much you paid. What she does , she charges the masseurs from the tip they received. I was scrambling to find a place last minute for a couples massage last weekend. Called 4 spas that either didn't have availability or refused to do the couples massage in the same room (kind of defeats the point but OK). I was weary calling them bcuz the reviews weren't stellar but I was desperate lol They had last minute availability & did the couples massage together so that was a +! I added hydrotherapy - just a regular 2 person hot tub but it was nice & clean and we were impressed with the room (see pics). It was corny but cute. There were questionable slippers & robes in the room but we didn't use them because we weren't sure if we should - we were the 1st customers of the day so safe to assume they were meant for us but didn't want to take that chance. The receptionist was obviously new (she was reading instructions from a paper lol) but she was sweet. She did ask if we "wanted" to pay in advance & I said no because we hadn't gotten serviced yet & I didn't know what, if anything, the tip would be. She didn't push the matter. One thing I absolutely did NOT like was the tray of bath oils they had us choose from. There was only 1 that was a tolerable scent (for us) and they were sticky & oily -- so they definitely weren't cleaning them between uses -- I legit didn't want to touch them. They included the oddest mix of snacks (2 chocolates, 1 water, 1 pack of cookies, 1 diet coke, 1 bag of ruffles lol) which was a nice effort but they could've won us over with 2 chocolates, 2 waters & maybe 2 glasses of cheap champagne lol Hubby got a deep tissue massage & I got hot stone. We agree the massages were good - not great. Epic fail was my masseuses hot stone technique. They kept sliding off & hitting the floor loudly! I couldn't react or else the rest would fall & I'd warn her that they were slipping but she wasn't quick enough - to the point that my husband's masseuse said something in their language & she took them off quicker than it should've been - but at least it was quiet again lol We left & paid & the ladies stood quietly to the side of the room door - never asked for a tip but we tipped them anyways. I paid via cc & I didn't see an option to tip using my card (not cool) - but luckily I had cash so no big deal. Booking an appointment was easy by calling them. We went in 20-25 mins early and they accommodated us without any hesitation. Forms+waiver was filled, while the water in the tub got heated. We picked a fragrant oil. Top notch service and they did make you feel good. Hot tub was good. Snacks were plenty. Water, soda was also there. We enjoyed the snacks while relaxing in the tub for 30 minutes. The massage wasn't very impressive. Masseuse wasn't focusing on body parts much. They just spent a lot of time on the back but failed to work it properly. I was dissatisfied and was thinking hopefully my wife is getting a good massage. But even she wasn't impressed. An hour was done where I was thinking I still need to go get another massage to get the pain and stress out of my body. Tipped this time as I didn't want them to chase me in the parking lot like last time. I think we are done with Andalusia. Mandy is a pro. I had an inflamed back after an extensive workout session that got my back into spasm. Decided to go do a massage after two days of muscle relaxants and ibuprofen not helping enough. Mandy is extremely skillful and experienced. She has a great technique in how she massaged me out of pain and into recovery. She traded time to pay extra attention to the problem areas which was truly needed. Feeling truly grateful to have found an expert who knows what needs to be done to treat a complex issue. My sister and I gifted a Groupon to my hard-working parents for a couples massage. We wanted then to be pampered and treated well. I heard back from my parents that the massages were great. Both of my parents have severe problem areas as my father is a mechanic and my mother has a painful combo of arthritis and lupus. So, I was told the masseuses knew exactly where they were experiencing pain and did great work. However, as mentioned in the majority of the other reviews, the employees asked my parents for a tip. Which was a little weird, as in most businesses, if someone is kind enough to give you a tip, you give thanks. If they fail to do so, you still treat the customer with kindness because nonetheless they have brought business and deserve respect. When my mother offered a $20 tip, they proceeded to ask her for $30. They gave my parents a speech about how they don't make a lot off of people like them that get groupons. They even have signs telling customers to tip. My mother proceeded to tell me that because they had Groupons, they were treated differently. Do NOT buy a groupon for this facility. You will be addressed unprofessionally and treated differently than regular paying customers. Groupons are meant to bring business. You make it an amazing experience for people so that they will want to come back on their own dime and time. They will pay regular price if you treat your Groupon-ers well. I really missed Andalusia day spa being closed during Covid. I tried seven different massage businesses during Covid, and they were mostly at Chiropractic offices because that was all that was available. I was disappointed after every massage. Either the technique wasn't there, they were cut short by a few minutes, or there was excessive talking. I came back to Andalusia once they re-opened and found Helen---She is a miracle worker!!! This is the worst place to go to for a massage! If I could give them zero stars, I would! I scheduled an appointment last minute for my partner and I. They were very welcoming at first and once the massage started, one of their staff members were yelling and having a full on conversation between each other during our private 90 min massage. I asked them for a quiet massage and to play the music bit higher and they totally ignored that and went right back to that. It was the worst service ever! After our massage, I proceeded to pay them the amount due and right in between she stated we both each owed at least $20 tip on top so $40 tip for crappy service. I told her, I wasn't comfortable tipping $40 due to those valid reasons and she ignored me still and raised her voice and kept yelling names at me with her finger in my face. She is the worse kind of human being,. Luckily I On top of that the facility was not clean at all. I wish I had seen all that before doing the service. Dust and garbage everywhere, I even saw a women's under garment hanging in the tub which is placed in the couples massage room...disgusting! She proceeded to yell in her language (Chinese) and called us cheap and to never return because we choose not to tip her $40 for a service that included hearing their 90 min conversation and her burping throughout the massage. My husband and I had a Groupon to experience a couple's massage that came with a hydrotherapy bath. Both of us greatly enjoyed our experience here. While the spa didn't look like much from the outside, the front lobby is very comfortably decorated with modern decor. The person checking us in asked us to wait a few minutes while she got the bath ready. We were able to choose from several different types of bath oils in the meantime and we decided to go with lavender. Once the bath was ready, she walked us in and showed us how to operate the jets and then left us to our own devices for the next 25 minutes. There was water, soda and several types of snacks by the bath that we could enjoy and the tub is big enough to comfortably fit two people. They also provide you with robes and slippers for your comfort. After 25 minutes, someone will knock on the door which is then your 5 minute warning to dry off and get under the covers before your masseuse comes in. The massage itself was extremely relaxing - I liked that my therapist was able to get into some of my knots and by the end of the hour, I was in a total meditative state. My husband is usually picky with his massages but he thoroughly enjoyed his session as well. Would highly recommend checking out Andalusia Spa. I look forward to my next visit! read more

I got a hydrotherapy and massage package gifted to me from groupon and I was so happy after being serviced her. My boyfriend did the couples bath and massage and it was amazing. My body has been so tense from traveling and the massage was perfect. I was thrown off a bit through their yelp reviews and the pictures, but their customer service and massages made up for it. Bath was clean and soothing - time: 25 mins Prior to the massage, they have you fill out a consent form and lets you indicate and circle which parts of your body is aching, where you want the misuse to focus on. They did a great job on the focus areas. Overall, wonderful experience. I will recommend this place to other people and it deserves way more stars than shown. Keep up the great work. The pros- The masseuse who did my deep tissue massage (Mandy) was amazing! For the price I paid (58$ minus tip) it was worth every penny. Definitely better quality massage than some of the higher end spas I've been to. Just for that, I'll be coming back here. Looked at this Day Spa's website and tried to book a massage on it. Whatever you do, play around with the options because booking more than one item separately might save you money! I booked a 90 minute massage with a 30 minute hydrotherapy session. The 90 minutes couples massage for $148.00 total is a great price! The 30 minute hydrotherapy session for $70, isn't worth it at all! When we walked into an empty spa, we weren't greeted with a simply hello or any greeting. As she sat there and stared at me, I said my name is Justin and we have a NOON appointment. Right away I get asked, how are you going to pay?? Cash or credit. I calmly replied back with I pre-paid online when I booked the appointment. ALL OF THIS IS INFORMATION SHE SHOULD HAVE ALREADY KNOWN! Once they were ready for us, they walked us in the room and then turned around and closed the door. No instructions or anything. Left it up to us! Thank god we have had a few massages before in the past. So we can to were we wanted to be and climbed into the beds. On the beds, where you put your head face down, there wasn't the normal tissue with the nice big open hole...get this, it was sections of a paper towel, off the role, with down the middle of the tear spot, ripped half way! Are you serious right now?? All the sudden, you hear the door open and here come in the two masseuses. Not introduction of names or anything. They got right to work. I will say, that was one of the best massages I have had because I was even sore afterwards! It was hard not to laugh, because who ever it was giving me the massage even jumped up on the table a few times, was between my legs and rubbing my back out! Scared the crap out of me the first time. There was a few periods of delay where you can hear the door open up as they went to get warm towels. Way did they have to leave the room when the room had a towel warmer on the inside of it. I don't know, it was a bit bizarre, but it is what it is. During the massage that was nice and relaxing they start the water for the hydrotherapy session. Now it isn't very relaxing as all you hear is the water in the tub combined with the combo of the relaxation music they have playing. It wasn't the most relaxing 5 minutes let me tell you! Another bizarre thing was once the massage was over, they just up and left! Really?? No thank you for coming in, still don't know there names....just up and out! So once we figured that out, we knew it was time to get into the hot tub for the hydrotherapy. They should call it hypo-thermal therapy. During the massage, they started to fill the hot tub and by the time we got into the hot tub, it was cold. It wasn't pleasant at all! The explanation of the hydrotherapy is this: 30 minutes aromatherapy bath for couples, savor dessert and chilled no-alcohol beverage in the privacy room. Lets just say the dessert was two rice krispie treats that were wrapped up and the beverage was A&W Root Beer. BIIZZZZAAARRREEEE! The hydrotherapy isn't worth the money at all! Complete rip off of $70. Every location I have been to has a spot for you to tip the masseuses. Some give you an envelope and you bring it out or you leave it on the table. Not this place. They (front office staff, not the masseuse) is standing at your door asking for the tip. They start telling you that you need to tip over $20 each. EXCUSE ME??? Last time I checked a tip was optional. Granted I have never not left a tip but don't start telling me what I need to leave as a tip. I want to be able to come back to this location because the massage was good, but the fact that the customer service is so bad makes me not want to. I guess time will tell. MESSAGE FOR OWNER: Whoever you have running the front reception area, please train then on customer service and respect. They are the face of your company! If you read some of the posts, most of them are the same. Also, try putting envelopes in the massage rooms for the tips of the masseuses.
