It's been a while since I've threw caution to the wind and checked out a new place. This place is definitely a gem! The food is on the sweeter side, which I quite like, and there's a gentle ambience to the place. They have a calming atmosphere here. Did I mention that they give you A LOT of food for what you order. We couldn't finish our order. What's better than having an additional tasty dinner? They have a selection of Vietnamese, Thai, and Japanese fusion here. You can also make your own curry, wok, or noodle dish with a selected meat. Service was nice too. Came here on a recommendation of a friend and loved this Asian bistro located in a quiet strip mall. Ordered crab Rangoon, Goyza, Pad See Ew and all the dishes were delicious. Noted that there is a busy takeout side of the restaurant as well. Ended the meal with Mango sticky rice and it was amazing. Will definitely return soon. read more

We arrived in a typhoon! Lightning striking all around we thought the tree in the parking lot would end up on top of our car. Inside was cozy and inviting... Two for one drinks came in handy. My pho bowl warmed me to the core having arrived a bit damp! It was delicious. My wife ordered a pad Thai, which was steaming and satisfying. Keira took very good care of us as she explained the interesting and different menu, from what we were used to. We thoroughly recommend the restaurant. They do a wonderful job at a reasonable price. The staff is so friendly and very attentive. The hot food we ordered was piping hot and spiced to our liking, we ordered Thai hot. The hot dishes we ordered were pad Thai chicken and panang chicken. The appetizer, tuna tataki, was perfectly seared and the ponzu sauce was perfect. Soft instrumental music is softly playing in the background this place has a very chill atmosphere. Unassuming location at the end of a plaza with excellent Asian cuisine! The chef is from Thailand so had to try the Pad Thai which was cooked perfectly and the waiter offered spices to season it up! My husband had the shrimp and vegetable tempura bento box and its presentation was wow! Everything tasted delicious, very fresh. The miso soup and salad were so fresh as well. We went out on a limb as long time st auggy visitors knowing we were sacrificing a really good seafood restaurant that I usually must visit when in town; but the desire for good takeout took over. And man, I haven't had a meal so spiritual in years. The flavor is unmatched. I am truly sad to go back home knowing I can't doordash their drunken noodles. We did pick up, and it was ready early when we arrived and incredibly fresh and scalding hot. Restaurant was packed and has nice outdoor seating. Customer service was amazing. The house special pho was otherworldly and the herbs were actually so fragrant I could cry happy tears. I realize I am pouring my heart out about a restaurant and I will stand by it. Have eaten at the place on US1. In the two years we've eaten there, it seems as the place has changed hands at least twice with increased prices. The appetizers are minimal for the price. One visit I had one of my favorites from a family Thai restaurant, Thai Mint, in Colorado Springs where we were always warmly welcomed. At Andaman we never knew if we'd have new staff. The food was unpleasantly loaded with sugar. We've been enjoying Green Papaya as a more friendly place where the servers remember our drink preferences. read more

I dont usually go to Asian restaurants who have several different cuisines on the menu. Normally, a sushi place is good for sushi and a Vietnamese place for their cuisine. Andaman is a jack of all trades! They have some seriously good noodle dishes and I really liked the decor. They made great use of the space. read more

I have been wanting to try out Andaman for a couple of years. Today, at the end of a long drive, I decided to do so. I popped in and ordered on site. I got the "charcoal grilled noodle bowl", crispy spring rolls, and basil fried rice. We'll start with the crispy spring rolls. They were slightly crispy, having been in the closed plastic container for about 10 minutes before I managed to open it. They were not overly greasy. Contents were mainly carrots and cabbage. There was also another type of vegetable that I couldn't distinguish which, upon reflection, may actually have been mushrooms. The flavor was good but nothing special. The rolls were quite small and they were only three of them. They were not much bigger than my thumb. See the photo. The noodle bowl was a bit of a dud. It's advertised as being "charcoal grilled pork", but as you can see from the photos, there is no way that this pork was grilled. If anything, it was oven roasted... and quite dry. To make matters worse, the noodles were overcooked. They reminded me of the post-drinking late-night Ramen I made during my college years. If there's one thing that ruins a traditional Vietnamese noodle dish it's soggy noodles. Big fail for me. The flavors were OK but a little too heavy on the lemongrass. I understand that the restaurant is Thai and Vietnamese but if you're going to make a Vietnamese noodle dish you need to get it right. Overall a big "meh". Finally, the basil fried rice. Not bad. Plenty of Thai basil which is as it should be. I asked for one step below the hottest rating and it didn't disappoint. In closing, my experience was just OK. I'd be willing to give it another try in the future and perhaps order some pho or other dishes. read more

Stopped by here for a lunch break after working in a coffee shop and it helped satisfy my Asian food cravings. I usually don't gravitate towards pho but this day, I was in the mood for it! We ended up getting pho, spring rolls, and a fresh salmon dish. The staff was friendly and helped serve us during the lunch rush. Every dish was pretty good which surprised me because sometimes a spot that specializes in different types of cuisine usually compromises the quality of certain dishes. We were staying in St Augustine over the weekend and started craving Pho. This place came over as "suggested" and we decided to give it a shot. The location is a bit sketchy. When we were driving through the old parking lot of run down stores I really started second guessing our decision. I almost completely backed out when I saw the parking by Andaman was completely full, with a line outside! So I was interested. Couldn't be THAT bad if all these people were here! We were seated pretty quick. The menu is pretty big! They offer quite a lot! We started with some sake. He got hot sake and I got the sampler. The sampler comes with your choice of three different sakes. I got: coconut, cucumber, and lychee. I honestly wasn't a fan of any. Oh well. For apps we got Spicy Tuna Salad and the Sunomono. The Spicy Tuna Salad was great!! The Sunomono, not so much. Super fishy and bland. I ended up getting the "House Special Noodle Soup" for my entree and my husband got the "Rare steak pho". They were both really good but I think we agreed that mine was better! We loved the wontons in there and the chicken broth tasted wonderful and light. The place was slammed the entire time we were there. The food was good, but it didn't leave me excited to visit again. Maybe we will if we are craving Pho? read more

We were blown away by both the service and food at such a small strip mall spot! A fellow camper at the KOA next door recommended Andaman so we jumped on the bikes and headed over! We were greeted with a genuine smile, sat right away and friendly attentive service continued our entire visit. The Crab Rangoon is the best I've ever had, super thin and crispy, overflowing with filling. The Dragon and Fujiyama rolls were spectacular and the chicken yakisoba was literally addicting!
