We have been to Andaman Bistro a few times and it has become our go-to restaurant for Asian quinine. I especially like the curries and pho.

Even when the food is terrible, they tell you they will charge you anyway. They don't offer to make you anything else. They just ask what else are you going to order. At this time when I don't want to order anything else, because why try something else that tastes bad at double the price? Only when you don't order again, and say you want to leave, you want the check, and will just write them a bad review, do they come out and say let me see if we can make you something in place of what you ordered. Too late to offer, when you have made what could have been a decent experience into a terrible never to return experience. The check is brought to us, they did end up taking off the bill, but at that time it was too late to make a nice gesture. A man finally came out to see what was wrong with the meal. At that point I was disappointed with the service, and just wanted to leave. .. From someone who loves Asian cuisine, I would go someplace else. read more

Not worth the price for a veggie yakisoba, The noodles are mushy, it's not a yakisoba noodles, it's ramen cheap noodles, the vegetables are overcooked and the food is greasy and salty, too much soy sauce or whatever sauce they used, I threw the whole thing in the garbage. What a waster of $19.12. Not worth it at all. I won't go back to this place, and won't recommend it to my friends or to anyone. Food is expensive and it's not worth it. Salty and greasy. read more

We were on vacation and looking for somewhere to celebrate my daughters 18th BDay. She loves sushi and so we gave Andaman a shot. The place was super clean and we were seated right away. The restaurant was open and had great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to details of our order. Even helped us with our spice level on some of the dishes. We had several noodle dishes, a fried rice, and a stir fry. The food was at the table incredibly fast and was steaming hot. The Pad Thai was excellent. We ordered it with medium heat and our server brought out the spice tray for us to customize the heat. My son got the cashew chicken stir fry and it was so well seasoned. He ate most of his rice quickly and the server asked if he needed more rice to finish the plate, very thoughtful. This was our first time visiting St Augustine and we are so thankful we have Andaman a try. We will be back! read more

Needed a place to eat on Christmas Day 2020. The place is not a toursity spot like most other places in St Augustine but has nice food expertly prepared. Can't say it is one of the top notch Michelin 3* place but it has good food with fresh ingredients which I find refreshing these days. read more

I never ordered "vegetarian pho" whenever I go out since I might end up slurping down beef broth! Very glad that I ordered vegetarian noodle soup here by accident, thinking that it's just udon noodle soup! it turned out to be pho with fried tofu! Second time in there days Day one- take out with Pad Thai with pork ( amazing!!!!! ) , Tom Kha and chicken Satay The meal and service ( yea even in takeout) was so good it required a second stop before we hit the road tomorrow . Finding vegan options here in St. Augustine has been tough. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. There are many options vegan friendly options so our group was looking forward to trying it. We went too late so I ended just getting the tofu noodle soup and it was delicious. We had a vegan in the group to accommodate for and they had plenty of delicious options. Their menu has vast choices from soups, to sushi, to numerous other dishes. Because we had a large party the food took longer to come out. Our server was courteous and very nice talking to us about our stay, how we were doing, and such. I ordered the house salad which comes with ginger dressing and the house soup that comes with shrimp, pork, chicken, and wantons. The salad was crispy, fresh, and loved that they put the dressing on the side as often times most restaurants overdue it when they pour it on. The soup came out steaming hot and they provided add ons like bean sprouts, jalapenos, and more. I recommend just one starter is you're getting any other main entrees as they were very filling- or take it to go of course. A must try if you're in the area! I love Thai and even better when the restaurant offers sushi. We had their Tom Kha Gai soup to warm us up. We ordered Spider-Man appetizer roll and shared their St Augustine roll. Excellent sushi. We finished by sharing their lobster tail pad Thai. Warm water lobster tails for those if you used to Maine lobster. It's a little tougher but held up well to pad Thai sauce. It's a small place and quaint but not fancy. We were there for valentines dinner and they were slammed but not slow. The young waiter was sweet and prompt. Highly recommend it. It's about 15 min from downtown St Augustine on the beach side. read more

All the food was above average, but not exceptional. The setting was decent middle-level Asian. Our waitress was very personable. It was really expensive for lunch, however: I think these were dinner prices, not lunch specials. I started with the shrimp and pork spring rolls for $8 (I think the regular vegetable ones are $7). They were a bit overcooked but still tasty. We each had a $14 dish plus the price of any protein we wanted to add. It was $2 for scallops or $5 for all the seafoods, of the things we tried (there were even more expensive options like duck). I had the Yaki Soba noodles with scallops and they were very tasty. What a wonderful little place! We sat in the front garden patio where they are growing their own chilis and Thai basil among others. The very kind a owner came out and told us we could help ourselves to any of the chilies, so we picked one and it was delicious and hot! I had the ceviche appetizer and as you can see from my photo it was gorgeous and delicious also. I had one of their sushi rolls and there were lots to choose from. I will definitely go back to this place to try more things on their menu. Highly recommend for quality food, super sweet service, and a lovely setting. It checked all my boxes. read more
