I called from my hotel and asked if there was a wait on a Saturday night. I was told there was no wait when we got there no there's was no wait. I had the pork torta and ice tea, was good tasting tea, there is no Cucumber margarita here never has been one. Margarita is made out of wine and there is only one and it is very smooth very tasty. Chicken enchiladas were very tasty, the red chili was Pico! Salsa bar was awesome heat and tassstyyy. The kids had nachos and they gave them enough for two days. Fried ice cream is like having a churro with ice cream mmmmm I had a small bite the girls knocked it out I would give the staff 5 stars for grate service! Our first time here. We would give 10 stars if you'd let us. First off it's dog friendly. Second we got Luke tonight. When you visit please ask for Luke, he is an outstanding server!!! We had the tacos Al Carbon. The menu says it makes four. More like it makes six or more. And, they make it with ribeye!!! Next it was the chicken enchiladas.they were awesome! This is such a nice little restaurant! I love that they have the Dog House, which is dog-friendly on the patio. I have to say, the one thing to avoid here is the roast chicken, which was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. But the Steak and Enchilada is excellent, as is the Posole! They also have a large number of vegetarian/vegan and gluten free items, and for you with celiac/allergies out there, I can say that they have excellent policies in the kitchen because I haven't gotten sick once from their food. They also bring dog bowls for your pups, and give them ice in the water, which is really nice on a warm desert day! read more

Maybe we're Mexican food snobs being from Arizona, but this was just okay. I thought it was super salty and bland. I was also very confused by cooking the shrimp for the shrimp tacos in soy sauce. I was also not a fan of the - build your own tacos, here's a massive plate of the stuff you need to do it. My advice keep looking if you want authentic Mexican food. The green cheese enchiladas are where it's at. Interestingly, the couple other places I've checked out in southern NM for green chile aren't quite the green chile experience I've had in ABQ/Santa Fe. But at Andele, the green enchiladas definitely have a creamier sauce, and I admit I was a bit skeptical at first. But dang, they are delicious. Definitely worth checking out. The service was also super friendly and on point. If you're in Las Cruces and want to check out some delicious green enchiladas, Andele's may be your spot (I also saw on the wall best green enchilada--not sure if it was locally or elsewhere, but I believe it!). read more

Dirty patio, dirty chips & salsa bar. Could use an update as well. Too many dogs inside and also outdoors. So gross to eat with animal buts and dog hair all around. You get your own chips and salsa and the station isn't kept clean. No napkins in the area. They're very stingy with napkins, even when you ask, they'll bring you two. Food: awful. Ordered Mexican hotdog and all you can eat menudo (weekend). The hotdog bun is just too big and thick and the dog doesn't have enough topping for the bun. Pretty tasteless, except for the meat and bacon. The menudo is disgusting. You're brought an empty bowl on a plate with condiments and serve yourself . The pot is kept by the filthy chips/salsa station. They don't appear to refill the menudo pot, as it was full of bones and had the consistency of ketchup. Too spicy hot and it's kept at room temperature, the pot lid was broken, so you end up placing the lid on the dirty countertop. Ordered Sierra Mist for beverage and it was flat. Had to have it replaced. This place needs some serious help. Cannot recommend. read more

We were recommended this place by locals. The salsa bar is great with very spicy salsa and Jalapenos Chips were served as soon as we were seated. The place was packed but service was prompt. I don't get it. I read all the reviews and thought this place must be fantastic. Oh how wrong they were. The place is run down and the food was sub par. I had a combination #1 which had four items, rice and beans. The plate was so messy and gross I had no idea what food was what. And I need to mention it was swimming in queso. We really just wanted to get some green chile and sopapillas for breakfast before hitting the road, but on a Sunday morning in Las Cruces apparently that's harder than it seems. We eventually found Andele, where it turns out to be impossible to get a basic bowl of green chile. Instead, your two options are "green chili con carne" which consists mostly of hunks of rich roasted pork bound together with a bit of green chili, or a green chili cheese sauce, which is mostly a rich creamy cheese sauce with green flecks and a bit of heat. We tried them both and didn't really care for either. That said, Andele has extremely good tortilla chips and a wide range of tasty, spicy, interesting salsas at their salsa bar. That was an unexpected addition to our breakfast, and possibly better than the green chili I'd been hankering for. And they do have sopapillas too. As soon as we were seated, we checked out the entire assortment of Salsa, there was something for everyone, mild, spicy, chipotle, veggie. This place is good, not great. They are very inconsistent with the way the food comes out. Both Andele's and the dog house serve the same food but it doesn't always come out the same (which is understandable) but both places are never consistent. I've been served cold and old rellenos that were similar to cardboard, and gritty rice. Then I've been served hot and fresh food. It's honestly a hit or miss. Love the salsa bar, with pico, different salsas, onions, and cilantro! The chips are fresh and warm, but don't eat too many or you will ruin your meal!! I love their taco plate! I get beef which is served on a plate with all the fixings! It is chopped and seasoned steak! Fresh limes to squeeze on it and fresh corn tortillas! The guacamole is fresh and tasty! Stopped in based on recommendations from a coworker. We paid a visit in the morning since we couldn't get there for dinner. I had the steak and eggs but debated on it over the combo plate #1. The steak was cooked just right and I had two eggs over easy with potatoes. There was not much potatoes for the eggs but the steak made up for it. The huevos rancheros was different in that it was made up of refried beans in other places I've had it with whole beans... either way it was good. What made the difference was the salsa on the huevos rancheros.. it was a creamy green chili sauce. Chips were good as well as the salsa bar. My wife and I left pretty disappointed over all. They waitress was not very attentive to us but you could tell she knew other people so you must have to be a "local" to get good service. The traditional salsa was pretty much tomatoes with a tiny bit of spice. The tomatillo salsa had pretty good flavor but nothing special. Definitely not a good way to start a meal in Las Cruces. I got the combination #3. The rolled taco meat was dry, the red pork was pretty much just potatoes and the sauce was mediocre at best, the red enchilada looked appealing but didn't have much flavor and the cheese they used on everything was just some yellow cheap stuff that I would never buy for home use, much less for a restaurant. The chile relleno was tasty and cooked correctly with a nice meaty green chile but it had that nasty yellow cheese that I just scraped off. The chile relleno is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. My wife's shrimp cocktail looked pretty good but I can't eat shellfish so I can not comment much on that. She liked it but didn't think it was anything special. We did have a couple drinks making the tab $50 but I still feel like I was ripped off and will not be going back. I walked past Andele dog house across the street and it smelled fantastic so next time I'm in the area I will try the dog house. In a couple of cities in New Mexico for work and while in Las Cruses, I asked for a recommendation for a place that has "authentic" New Mexican food as it's apparently different from Phoenix's Mexican food. Was told to go to 1 of 2 places and settled on Andele. Was seated right away and they have a salsa bar which was absolutely delicious and the chips seemed as if they were made the same day. Wasn't sure what to order for the entree so I asked the waitress for a recommendation and we both got a chuckle when she said she didn't know what the meant by "New Mexican" food either. Went with the Enchilada plate with green chiles, lettuce, tomato, chicken, sour cream, beans and rice. And some cheese to top it off. It was a hearty plate of food and since I never know exactly how to eat it, I cut it up and then a giant pile of goop :) and that goop was sooo tasty, I had to force myself to slow down and savor the bites. Being the fatty I am, had to get desert and they have a local NM "favorite";Sopaipillas with honey. As I didn't know what they were but had friends tell me to try them, I again asked the waitress for her recommendation on how many to order and their approximate size. I was told, "They're not too big but also not too small so I would say around medium sized." With no reference as to the size she thinks medium was. This again made me laugh and figured since the company was buying, I went with 4. Now, I'm 6'4 and over 220 lbs so not a small fella but when she brought the sopaipilas out, each one was as large as my hand!!! They were quite tasty with just a little bit of honey drizzled on top. There were also packets of sugar but I chose to stick with only the honey. I got there early (5:15 local time) and glad I did because when I walked in there were only 3-4 tables full and when I left, the waiting area was full. This is my first 6 star review!!! Wow was this place amazing!! I was actually convinced by multiple locals that this is a MUST GO kind of place. I normally never eat at a restaurant without a bar. So my dad and I ordered some food to-go from Andeles dog house and they got my order wrong. My dad ordered the chili relleno plate with rice and beans and their green chili was almost like a queso sauce which he definitely was not expecting. I originally ordered a tamale with green chili on the side but when we got our order they had smothered my tamale with red chili and it was really spicy for me. So my dad and I had traded food when I took a bite of the chili relleno the chili sauce was more creamy with no green chili flavor and the cream overwhelmed the taste of the relleno. With all of the high rating reviews that I had read and heard I was expecting so much more but with there being so many other options here in las cruces I don't think I will be coming back. Just ordered takeout tonight and, though it might seem a slight, my enchiladas were the best tasting slop I've ever eaten! It's tough making enchiladas to-go, so they don't travel well. Looking at it was a bit depressing. Then I took a bite, and another, and another. It was bursting with flavor, tons of beef and cheese, and some amazing refried beans. One of our party had the taco plate and another a burrito. We are all stuffed and pleasantly surprised. Oh, and the staff? Very attentive, polite and nice. Best first meal in New Mexico! read more

Stopped here as we were passing through, I ordered the combination number one Chile Rellano rolled cheese Enchilada, chili Verde, and Beef flauta My 2 traveling companions had stacked enchiladas, One of them not by choice, he actually ordered a ribeye with a enchilada rice and beans, the server repeated that but that is what he brought him... We hate to throw food away so he decided to keep it. Anyway my plate was excellent would highly recommend it I think the stacked enchiladas were a bit much for my two companions yes still good the salsa bar is amazing also I think a dollar for one flour tortilla is a bit pricey that said I would order it again, it's like having a good dinner roll with your salad or chicken fried steak and gravy, and necessity definitely stop there noise level in the restaurant is a bit much but food more than makes up for it, a sidenote I chips on the table with mostly crumbs perhaps we should've said some thing but after a long day driving we didn't want to be complainers not hearing the order correctly and serving crumbs is a reason for four stars hey everything can be perfect all the time still a great stop for somewhere to eat authentic Mexican food with wonderful flavor read more

We have not been here since before the pandemic started but they seem to have adapted well. Call them if you want to pick up an order because that is easier. The website they use for online orders makes you sign up for an account with them before you can place an order. If you pick up an order do the curbside thing and wait in your car cuz my bro walked up to the door and the sign said to go to the patio but everyone was staring at him like -why are you out of your car-. Then they made him wait by the door anyway. The tacos al carbon with pork are great but the corn tortillas are junk. They fell apart just picking them up so we ate everything like a salad. Maybe we try the flour tortillas next time. They only give you a taco Tuesday discount if you buy a platter or more not a plate. read more
