Let me start by saying that this is NOT a restaurant. They are a seafood wholesaler. I'm not even sure if they are open to the public. If they are, I highly recommend that you give them a try. I've been doing business with Anderson Seafood for going on a decade now and when I want to buy something "fishy" to cook, they are my Go To supplier. I ordered salmon, halibut and shrimp, which all were fresh and delicious. An outstanding feature is how they ship your fresh product in one-day shipping through a association with UPS. In my opinion, their website is top notch and when I had a problem with my order, I ordered lobster instead of shrimp, they responded by sending the shrimp on top of everything. I tried ordering from Anderson Seafood online for Mother's Day lobster. The package arrived on-time and intact. One problem tho. Two of the interior packages arrived open and seeping lobster juice. I ordered them frozen and expected them to arrive as ordered. I called Anderson and left my name and number. I was soon called back by Spencer Rowe, who I believe is the QC manager. He made things right and hand delivered two replacement tails to my home. Way to go ! All of us over the age of 15 know that things happen. That can hardly be avoided. I Received my order, (delayed a day) almost $200.00 worth of salmon candy. Not happy with it at all. Supposed to be a glaze Of maple and sugar, but this has no glaze at all and I can barely taste a hint of sweet. Also gritty in my mouth. I am trying to figure out a way to "re-glaze" without smoking again. Went and purchased expensive honey and pure maple syrup, we will see. It's such a shame to have to buy more expensive ingredients to try to make it like it was supposed to arrive in the first place, when the order was SO EXPENSIVE already. Wow. Can you say FRESH? This is the best seafood delivery company HANDS DOWN. I was a bit skeptical at first ordering fresh fish online, but I cannot believe how good the quality was. The reason is LOGISTICS. After doing some research on Anderson Seafoods on their website, and watching the UPS video, it all became clear to me. They send your food in a temperature controlled package, such that what was sleeping in the ocean yesterday is in your home the next day. No wonder its so fresh, and they pack it with ICE to make sure it lasts. Gift ideas -- whats a better gift than lobster tails, fresh salmon from Alaska, etc. They also throw in little potstickers and random goodies with each order. I have sent this out to a few friends and they loved it... I order at least once or twice a month and stock up and eat super healthy delicious fish for a few days, its really good for you and it is way better than driving to the store and trying to buy fish that is never going to be as fresh as it is from Anderson Seafoods ... nationwide overnight to your door, yes please. Customer service is not the priority at Anderson. While visiting a friend near Disneyland, we decided to order some fresh seafood for the next day. We ordered halibut but received seabass. I just disputed the charges on my credit card. One of the expensive items I ordered was not included in the box and it was to be a surprise for Mother's Day, too. I have tried contacting them (left 2 voicemails as they do not seem to answer their phone and I am not sure how the other reviewers are getting through to customer service) and sent several emails. I never received a response. Based on the reviews and recommendations, I thought this would be a great experience, but instead I am very disappointed. UPDATE: I just got a call, 5 days later. I spent $100 on an order and this company sent me the wrong brand and much lesser quality meat. I sent them photos of their product that clearly didn't match the website. They ignored me and never made it right. I called and sent multiple messages and they just ignored all of it. Horrible business, wasted my money, save yourself the headache and save your money. I ordered from Anderson the quality of the food was excellent. The tuna was some of the best I've ever had. They are one of the few places that carry the cocktail crab claws are great and without charging you an outrageous handling fees. I've been working in restaurants for 20 years I'm very happy to have a place where I can get great seafood delivered to my home. I had a small problem with my order and they more than made up for it. I live in Montana and can get delicious fresh seafood locally. I was so happy to find Anderson Seafoods. They can actually deliver fresh fish to my door in the middle of nowhere overnight. I have received many different types of fish and have never been disappointed; from Chilean sea bass to ahi tuna that I have served as sashimi everything has been top notch. I was in a rush for a spur of the moment party for those of my friends who are seafood lovers. The local stores had a limited seafood selection and most of the seafood was pre-frozen. In a panic, I searched online and after reading reviews, took a chance on Anderson Seafood. I was amazed by their selection, impressed by their website and never having ordered from them hesitated but ordered several fresh items and smoked salmon. I can't praise Andersons enough - everything I ordered was amazing. It was the freshest, best seafood I'd ever had and all of my guests not only enjoyed the party and complimented me on dinner --- my recipes are great, but I know that the freshness and quality of the fish had a lot to do it. Another pet peeve of mine is environmental awareness andl before placing my second order I noticed that they offer Carbon Neutral shipping, sustainable seafood practices and partnerships as well as their seafood safety program and was relieved and impressed. I ordered a variety of lobster tails and assorted shellfish over the holidays to make a gift basket for my parents and am extremely happy with the service and quality of product. I wish I could say everything went smoothly but it didn't and Anderson was not at fault. Anderson packed my order and shipped it out next day air and UPS dropped the ball and failed to deliver the following day, so instead delivered 3 days later (Monday). Let me start this post by first saying that I do not submit reviews generally, but my experience with Anderson Seafoods has left me compelled to inform others of the impeccable experience and caliber of goods they will receive when placing an order with this vendor. I am an avid fresh fish eater and, thus, I am always seeking the highest quality product available. My own experience was generally purchasing from local suppliers and grocery stores to which I was typically dissatisfied and ate the fish just out of obligation. My best experiences were typically when dining out to which, I must admit, the quality was not always as expected either. As a result, I made many efforts to seek alternative solutions online. Recently, I came across Anderson Seafoods and, although hesitate to try yet another provider claiming fresh fish, I thought I would make one more purchase before simply accepting the fact that the items available in my area would be the best I could hope to receive. I cannot tell you how pleased I am that I made that purchase. Not only was the order delivered as promptly as stated on the site, but the fish contained therein was as fresh looking as claimed. From the superior packaging to the cuts of each fish themselves, it seemed as though we were heading in the right direction, although the true test of taste was yet to come. For reference, I prepare all of my fish very simply with just salt and pepper and a bit of non-stick cooking spray, so when I indicate that the taste of this fish was like no other that I have had before, you can rest assured it is based on the pure fish itself, unencumbered by sauces or other toppings. After taking my first bite, I knew that I was ruined, in that I would never order from another supplier again. This sentiment held true as I tried a large variety of the fresh fish options on the site, so you can be certain it was not an isolated incident or indicative of just one of the options available. In addition to the amazing quality, taste, appearance, and texture of the fish itself, the customer service is outstanding. My first order was not without a few hiccups, but I contacted the company with these issues and they were immediately addressed and remedied accordingly. The customer service assuredly went out of their way to answer all of my questions, provide documentation regarding their products, and followed up to make sure I did not require anything further. I truly got the sense that Anderson Seafoods values the care and ultimate happiness of their customers and will work to do whatever may be necessary to rectify an error, accommodate a complaint, or just satisfy a general concern.
