Anderson Tap House..... We have frequented this restaurant quite a lot in the past. Upon entering, we felt like we bothered the host when requesting a table, no hello, welcome .. just how many. We then asked about the beers as the QR code was worn without an image ( no physical menu). Our waiter held up the ordering device, pointing to the QR code... several times.. not really engaged regarding the beer selections. This restaurant seems more like a bar now. Hence, apparent supervisor or manager sitting behind us using less than desirable language while sitting with others. I'm all for fun but disappointed in our local place today. read more

I really wanna love this place but they have a lot of work to do! The service is pretty slow and I don't think the servers have ever worked in hospitality before (which is fine, everyone's gotta learn their trade) it's just rough right now. This is the second time we went and this time was still slow. They don't direct you to the fact that their menu is via QR code (which is a sweet feature, but tell us please), our server didn't even know what beer he brought us (it wasn't what we ordered), my side was wrong (asked for green beans got the asparagus) and my husbands crispy chicken sandwich was just chicken tenders on a bun....I was really looking forward this being a new yummy foodie spot but they have some re working to do read more

Ate here for lunch today with wife. Almost deserted at noon on a Friday. We had the pretzel bites (wife loved them), a bowl of potato soup, a salad, and we each had a sandwich with fries--chicken club for her and fish for me. All the food was good, BUT..... they literally brought it all out at the same time ! No kidding. That is a serious negative. I had several draft beers, one a Hazy Something and the other a wheat beer (really good.) The only other negative other than getting all the food at once was that there are apparently no printed lists of all their draft beers. They are only viewable on two monitors behind the bar, and it was annoying to have to get up from the table and walk up to the bar to watch the scrolling list (which scrolled too fast to write things down) They have beer flights, and if I had received a list, I would have ordered a flight. Other than the two major negatives I mentioned, it would have been a 4 star experience. It's a 40 minute drive for us, so not sure we'll be returning. The beer choices are great here. And the food is good.They just need to make it more user friendly and coordinate things better. read more

Great place! I had a meeting at the Tap House with colleagues a few weeks ago and the service and food was great. Our server, James, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the beer selections and offered recommendations from the menu. Great level of service that is becoming more and more rare at restaurants. Was so excited for this place! It's a nice place to grab a few beers or a glass of wine, but a foodie destination it isn't! First never, ever serve green beans out of a can. I don't even buy canned green beans at home! They didn't even drain them or rinse them, nothing to make them more palatable at all. (Our server recommended them over the broccoli.) The Spinach Artichoke Dip had a funky taste, it didn't seem homemade or good food service quality. On a positive note, the Black Bean Burger was good. The open atmosphere and patio is nice. Husband had bacon bbq burger which was drowning in sauce, ordered medium, burger was rare. Wedge salad was TINY, barely any dressing, flavorless. I was hesitant to check this place out based on reviews, but man, I should have come here sooner! They have a great beer selection and a very extensive menu. Marley (I think that's her name) was my server. She was friendly. I decided on the pretzels with beer cheese, and they were great. When it was time to order my entree, I asked her which was bettrr; the code sandwich or the burger. She said both were great, but they are known for their burgers. She said that the cod sandwich is huge. I went with the cod sandwich (it's served with coleslaw, which was delicious, and Frisch's tarter sauce. I ordered it with fries. I didn't have to wait long for the food. I have to say, this was the best fish sandwich that I have ever had. I will definitely be back, and recommend this place to all of my friends! read more

Great atmosphere and location but my goodness, the service is some of the worst I've ever seen EVERY single time. My sister in law on tuesday for lunch. We had the Raptor fries for a appetizer . The fries were very good. Then I had a cheeseburger and onion rings while my sister in law had the wings. Zero stars. Not hyperbole - the worst dining experience my wife and I have had in 11 years of marriage and with our three kids there to boot. This dining "experience" quite literally ruined our family's entire evening. Next to no empathy, no leadership walking the floor, thus no apology from a manager, and we shelled out well over $100 for a nearly THREE HOURS dinner to get a Buffalo chicken wrap 5 minutes after the rest of my family received their food. Boxed our food up and had to take our 2 year old home since it was already 15 minutes past his bedtime by the time we received our food. It was almost comical except it had my wife on the verge of tears. We spent half of our time here without a table despite a "35 minute wait". 7 minutes to bus our table. No silverware at the table. Never even got the ranch dressing we ordered for my daughter's food. I paid our $40+ bar bill and tip, but the entire service experience was so bad that I didn't even know if the guy would ever bring our bill. With this horror show of a restaurant experience, I just assumed our meal would be comped. I mean, three hours with three kids 7 and under and we're boxing up our food as it's coming out?! I mean for the love of all that is holy; I ordered boneless wings that we never even received, and my wife ordered a beer she never got! So I threw a $20 on the table for the waiter - it wasn't entirely his fault, and I just wanted to be done with this borderline traumatic dinner.... Laughably -- for the second time the entire evening -- someone showed an actual sense of urgency! When the waiter saw I was leaving he sprinted out to make sure I paid. I have no idea if the wings or beer was deducted. The first shred of urgency was when the bartender came over to make sure she collected the bar bill we paid! Lol! No ask of how things were going, no ask if we needed anything (we did - like silverware? Condiments?), no apology. Just made sure she got the receipt. There were several amazing moments - one being a couple that walked in put their name right after us left to enjoy their night after dining... before we even had a table:.... The other - a large table next to ours -- who came in over two hours after us -- got a plate full of crab legs before we got pretzel bites that I had to order at the bar 35 minutes prior. Food is very mid. Bland and little seasoning. The fries were good but burgers was bland. We went on Sunday for lunch and place was dead.

Let me preface by saying that this was our second time eating here and against better judgement, we gave it another chance. Our first time was awful and I was embarrassed as I had taken my mother for Mother's Day. I wish we hadn't returned or given it another chance. My husband and I got our seats and waited about 15 minutes for any server to acknowledge us. Finally, our served greeted us but every time I asked a question about the menu we were told they 'we are out' or our server would leave to ask the kitchen and return to tell us "we are out" anyway. The margarita was just tequila and a dash of lime. Our steamed shrimp was rubber and we were told the half plastic ramekin was "the last of the cocktail sauce". The sauce was bad anyway, as if the bottle had been in the back of the fridge for a while. My burger came out with a bun which I'm allergic to and specifically requested no bun. By the time my burger came out again, my husband was finished and we were ready to leave. I had gotten their homemade tortilla chips and queso as my side. They boast that their chips are made daily. These chips were stale and my husband even noticed the lack of crunch as I was eating. Our bill was $90 and our server admitted to not writing down the 'no bun' note and laughed and gave me a half hearted "sorry". I understand if an eatery is busy which can be put on the shoulders of the servers but this was not the case. Every single part of this meal was lacking and incorrect. We are so disappointed and we are perplexed how this place stays open. The food is not fresh, the drinks I've had have been terrible and we are fully expecting a bout of food poisoning by tonight. read more

Dirty tables inside and out, ignored by staff; fruit flies swarming around the bar, attracted to the sour, aged fruit and unclean canisters/ utensils; a bartender that used a dirty rag in an attempt to clean a sticky, drink stained bar surface, while wondering why the rag didn't do its job (and this was only after being asked to wipe the surface); and the food, well, you may want to reconsider putting it in your body. And, to top it off, this poor excuse for a "tap house" was not even busy. The single star is for the one bartender that seemed interested in engaging in her job, while the other, dirty rag bartender, used her best efforts to avoid eye contact with customers. The food has been getting bad as time goes by, but tonight it was awful! I ordered the fish and chips for carry out. Instead of the fish and chips I received a fish sandwich. Who ever cooked it didn't drain the grease and it soaked into the bun. You couldn't pick up the sandwich without falling apart. The Tap House doesn't use clean oil as the outside of the fish isn't golden brown, but dirty! I called up and the phone rang numerous times before Anna M answered and I told her of the problems. She was nasty and gave me a hard time. She said the manager wouldn't be in until 10 o'clock. I told her that she needed to refund my credit card as this food wasn't acceptable. She said she would get a hold of the manager. A guy called back and refused to refund me my money. We told him we will post comments as to what happened, and how he didn't make things right.
