We were hungry and 'needing relief' so popped in for a bite. Three friendly ladies working the counter took our order. Prices were crazy low compared to the touristy spots we left behind in Myrtle Beach, or any in Los Angeles from where we recently moved. I wanted something a little different, so I ordered a pork chop sandwich. It was literally as the name implies, a pork chop on two pieces of white bread, bones included. I chucked a bit, and dug in. The flavor was good, and it was tender and juicy. The bathroom was another story. Sign said 'get key from store', so went in and asked for the key. Young guy at the counter handed me a ring of about 8 keys, pulled out two of them and said that it was one of these. It was not, nor was any of the others on the ring. I returned and explained, he came back with me and was equally unsuccessful. So he used one of the keys to slide behind the bolt and opened it that way. While I saw no evidence, it was quite foul-smelling, and I hurried about my business and left. I purchased two bottles of water from the lunch counter ($1 each, just like Vegas!), and we headed down the road.

I'm not gonna kid you but I did do a little research on this place before my trip and is one of the reasons I am traveling on 701 north. Most sources I gathered from other YELP! reviews. And you really have to read between the lines on some reviews, I did not let them change my mind. I need to stop here. As I arrived and located the place, it was a little tricky to park but not bad. Entered the place and it looked just like the photos online. I stepped to counter and waited behind two others and not long after I placed my order. Just a regular burger cheese w/LT and a order of fries. Now it didn't take long and my order was ready. Don't get me wrong, this place is so busy there is constantly burgers cooking on the grill. And these burgers weren't sitting around either. As soon as as it was done it was gone, as fast as they were making them they were gone. Walked over to a table with my food and drink and sat and unwrapped one of the most beautiful burgers I ever had. No complaints, bun held up thru the juiciness. LT was fresh and crisp. And the fries were just as good even though I'm not crinkle-cut type. These were crispy and soft on the inside. Hope to back this way again. Once again I found another great spot off the beaten path. What does the barber say? Who's next! Peace.

When I arrived around 1:30 PM, she told me that she had accidentally ran out of hot dog buns. She said this is the second time in 12 years that this has ever happened. Because I made such a drive I went ahead and ordered my two hot dogs anyway - always with chili, slaw, and ketchup. Two for Me and one wiener on the side for my dog. The entire order which I did upgrade to a combo to include one canned soda (all varieties and options) and a side of chips (plain, BBQ lays, nacho Doritos) came to $13. What a steal! As others have indicated, this is a quaint little drive-through only place that is located outside of the owner's home. It is basically a drive-through hotdog stand. Road signs are clearly marked, and there is clearance enough for larger vehicles - but no trailers or big trucking type of trucks (like a UHaul). Each food item was nicely wrapped in tinfoil and then placed in a paper bag and delivered to me. The owner seemed slightly apologetic about the bun situation, but let me tell you what.... This accident may be a blessing in disguise! Because of the bun situation, she had to make my hotdog on too small hamburger potato buns. Wow! Pretty cool. It absolutely did not take away from the taste, which is delicious - and it also just offered a unique way to eat a hotdog. Actually, I feel like it was much easier for me to eat. I feel like it wasn't as sloppy as if it were on a hotdog bun, which is nice considering this is a drive-through/to go place only. My dog and I very much enjoyed our experience here and I will definitely be back, next time, probably bringing others. I may even request that she put my hotdog on a hamburger bun lol.

The price went up and the size went down. Nice folks very friendly owner. It's a drive up. .read more
