We called Andrade Heating and Air Conditioning for service on our heat pump. The service technician discovered that our unit was low on refrigerant. He topped off the refrigerant, which in the end made a leak in the system worse.(!) The heat pump was over 16yrs old, had the compressor replaced 4 years prior (by another company) and was at the end of its lifespan. Andrade submitted a very competitive quote, credited us for the service call, gave us senior and cash discounts, and replaced our heat pump in about 6 hours. Our AC stopped working, I called them to have a technician come over and they were able to send someone over the next day. I was very impressed. They were able to determine the cause. The capacitor on our condenser failed, luckily they had the part in their truck. The technician was very friendly and so was the person who answered the phone. They gave us a great install 7-years ago with outstanding customer service (Jen was amazing!) and a price way more reasonable than any other company I spoke to. We needed service two times since, both times were during heat waves. Both times they serviced us SOONER than they quoted us!! Julie in the repair office is absolutely committed to taking care of their customers, and every technician we've had has been very knowledgeable, super cool and willing to answer any questions. Important to note, the first service call was handled by AJ, the owner, and the service call was completely my fault. AJ came because the new system was only 2-years old and shouldn't have broke down. I never cleaned the air filter for 2-years and it caused a major problem with the system. These guys are great. They came out, evaluated the system and replaced the start capacitor for a low cost repair. A good conversation as to the motor life remaining, and consideration of a new system down the road (also switching from a heat pump to propane furnace at some juncture). I'm a Mechanical Engineer and have a good understanding of the system operation, and I appreciated that the tech we had was honest and upfront. I appreciate the family feel for the company and the personal interaction with the tech. No question that we'll call them anytime we need to have work done. Four stars, not yet five, only because follow up on some evap drain issues required follow up on my part. HIGHLY recommend! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Had (regrettably) called a competitor company [Beutler], who originally installed the system in the home, and paid $90 for a diagnostic. Was told ignitor needed replacing but due to age of the system the part was not on hand and needed to be ordered. There was a hard upsell by that technician to replace the system. After 2 1/2 weeks of waiting and calling for a status on when the repair would be completed and with no return call from Beutler, a friend recommended I contacted Andrade Heating and Air. Within a day the AC was working. Their technician, Huston, was a great guy and very concerned about being neat and respectful in my home. In addition, I called Andrade again to help out my grandparents. My grandparents were quoted 14 K to replace their unit by another local company. Andrade responded within a day and had their AC up and running again within a half hour or so, for less than one percent of the previous bid. Called the beginning of September to get a/c repaired. Showed up on time diagnosed the problem and supposedly ordered a fan motor to be installed the same week, never heard anything for a month. Called and was told that it would be researched and that I would get a call back. Two weeks later got a call asking how it all went, told them that nothing had been done.
