    My family at Andre's, pre-pandemic
    Julie M.

This is a family-owned business and the owners are just the nicest people in the world. Before the pandemic, my parents and aunts and uncles had breakfast there on Wednesday mornings and they sat for hours and laughed. They were never rushed out and they enjoyed hearing about the owners and their family in Chile. Yesterday I had breakfast there with a friend and I asked owner, Alejandra, if she remembered my family, which she did. She cried when I told her my mom and aunt had recently passed. Obviously this doesn't matter if the food isn't good, but it was delicious. I had the Mike's Frittata, which was excellent. I also had a side of fruit (for an up charge) which was worth it because I could tell it was fresh and not just poured out of a bag from a food supplier. My friend said she had been dreaming about their pancakes since her last visit. Be sure to stop by and support these lovely people. It's just a short walk from the Batavia Farmer's Market (in the summer).

I stopped in here for Breakfast. It was a Thursday at 8Am and I was the first one there. The service was great being I was the only one there lol. The place was really clean and has a nice view of the fox river! I was going to order the Down South omelette because I love the Chorizo but I wanted my eggs over easy so I ordered the Mexican Skillet. I asked for some salsa on the side (the Down South Omelet comes with it) and she told me that would cost extra! My food came quickly and was hot. The eggs were done just right but I wish there was more Chorizo! The serving size was on the small side but that means no left overs. I will come back to try some of their other dishes.

Biscuits and gravy, with eggs(over medium) and hash browns

The food here is really good, I had the biscuits and gravy and I will say that that was one of the best biscuits and gravy I've had and the hash browns weren't greasy like most places are. The waitress was really kind and gave us some recommendations. We stopped by here on our way to a job and I'm so glad we did. I highly recommend this place for if your ever in the area.

Amazing place! The best breakfast on the area. Delicious food, super nice and friendly staff, and as a bonus beautiful view on the river. 10/10. We loved it!

Andre's restaurant in Batavia is a hidden gem with a great view of the river. They have generous seating both inside and outside. Their food is wonderful. I ordered the fajita wrap along with a bowl of poblano pork soup. The soup was delicious with enough heat to warm up after a cold autumn day. The fajita wrap was both juicy and tasty with flavors. My wife ordered the southwestern omelet and our friend ordered the cinnamon raisin French toast which they both loved. All the food is made from scratch by a husband & wife team that incorporate Chilean recipes into American style breakfasts & lunches. Both are very friendly & helpful. We will definitely come back!

    Eggs, Canadian Bacon and Waffles

Date: 28-January-2020 Time: Lunch Total (before tip): $8.59 Server: Alejandra Grade: C+ I was in the mood for some breakfast. I don't know what's going on with me lately, but I have been wanting breakfast food for lunch! Well, I looked around, I needed something closer to work and this place popped up, so here I went! The place is interesting, it's up on a hill, overlooking the river. I walked in and was seated immediately, the place was, however, dead! There was another table taken, with two people and two more came in while I was dining. I ordered Plain Waffle Combo, mine came with the 2 sunny side up eggs, Canadian bacon and Belgium Waffle. It did not take long for my food to come out. The presentation on the plate was very nice! I dug into the food. The Canadian bacon was first and it was a little hard and chewy. I went after eggs next, they were about what I would expect of them, nothing supremely special, average. Belgium waffle on the other hand was pretty good! The best thing I had of the three items. I got my check and went upfront to pay. Reached out and gave my AMEX... No go... Don't accept them... Even though it says on the door they do... Either accept them all or be a cash only, please! Just drives me nuts when places nitpick on what to accept and what not to! Overall a C+. Good service, average food. Not sure, I'll come back.

We certainly had that problem but ultimately were very happy with our meals. They pretty much cover all the bases as far as BBQ and the sides. The flavors were very tasty! These days the price hikes are expected, nothing new, and the day Nobel started to impose a penalty for paying via credit card (which initially they were ALSO taxing, and at a rate no less that was higher than Geneva's local tax percentage) was when I started only paying with cash. Hey, I like(d) their food and love(d) their employees, I'm willing to pay out the nose and jump through hoops for the experience. I'll admit, I went from eating there almost every day during Covid to maybe once a month, but when my family asks me where we should go out, Nobel is ALWAYS the first that comes to mind. Within the past week I've visiting Nobel for the last time. Prices notably up again, check. Many new employees, slower service, and uh oh, what's this, the food quality is in the toilet? Couple that with another service by Kelli and her terrible attitude, and things aren't looking great. Portions. Like everywhere else, as I said, at Nobel the prices are up and portions are down. My wife's favorite though, their lobster roll (formerly one of the best I've ever had in the United States, and I travel along the east coast quite a bit), has taken a hit harder than anything else on their menu from what I can ascertain. $31 now, which isn't new, it's been $31 since the beginning of 2026 from what I can remember, but $31 and it's probably 30% smaller than it used to be. For $31 you get a lobster roll that literally looks like a piece of Texas toast folded in half now, a 30% smaller portion of lobster, and if by some off chance you order the side salad, the side salad is also smaller. I can go on about all of the other cuts that are evident, but the $31 lobster roll is about the best display of the dismal direction Nobel House is headed. Sad... Nobel House, you'll be missed.
