a man selling honey to a group of people

Bought this honey because my bf saw it on the news. My daughter suffers with awful pollen allergies and this year it is EXTREMELY bad. Apparently eating the honey of local bees will ease your symptoms. A tablespoon of this Andrew's Honey a day is reported to assuage pollen allergy symptoms. Ever the skeptic we made the trek to Union Sq to purchase a bottle. A few days pass. Thursday of that same week I ask my daughter how her allergies were and she says she is MUCH better. She hasn't had the itchy swollen eyes all week. She also LOVES the taste of this honey. (Its wildflower honey, which I prefer). She has been eating quite a lot of it so the bottle is nearly empty. The following Saturday I purchase another bottle. There are a few other vendors who sell honey, so look specifically for Andrew's Honey. Tell them in what area of New York / New York City you live in and they will direct you to the honey of bees from your local area. Check them out & survive with this years' awful Pollen count!

Great honey! I got 5lbs of wildflower honey, the store them in a glass jar NOT plastic! So proud of them. Honey tastes great, would recommend!

Best honey, especially if you have allergies -this year is horrible- He has different areas and honeys. When I read the reviews I was skeptical but he is so nice and friendly. Also don't ask stupid questions and you will get answers.

I emailed asking for swarm removal services (since I don't want to exterminate them!), which they advertise on their site. Their response:

Great hyperlocal honey for your allergies! Nice to support a local family run business too.

What is there to say about Andrew and his honey? He is doing such amazing work for our planet, our…read morecommunity and our bees. His local rooftop honey is the perfect remedy to seasonal allergies and he has rooftop beehives all over the city! 1 spoonful of local honey at breakfast is more effective than any allergy medication I have tried - and tastier too! It is so nice to now have an Andrew's Honey shop on the Upper West Side. The woman at the cash register today was very professional and warm and answered customers questions while I took photos. There was no pressure to purchase but of course I was there to stock up for my parents and friends suffering from seasonal allergies right now. I love seeing all the other goodies too- flavored honey sticks, nuts in honey etc., I even have Andrew's book- it is so wonderful to read about urban beekeeping and to follow along his adventures on social media. Fun fact: before I tried Andrew's honey at Union Square Farmer's Market 6-7 years ago I really thought I did not like honey at all- turns out I just don't like ultraprocessed honey. Andrew's honey is delicious and each neighborhood and batch will have a slightly different flavor. If you're lucky enough to run into Andrew, he explains the reason for the variation in flavor and color across seasons and locations! Note: Andrew's Honey no longer offers samples (since Covid) and kindly note, there are no returns once you leave the store. There is a slight cash discount on most items Enjoy!

These flavors were $15 each for 8 oz bottle. There is an additional charge if paying by credit card. Definitely recommend checking this store out for yourself or buying some honey as a gift! Just beware there are lots of bees making honey in the store

There's also a section of local artists selling things like tshirts, knickknacks, art pieces like paintings and collages. Regardless if I buy anything, I just love walking around the market looking at all the fresh, colorful produce, thinking of what delicious dishes could be made from the plethora of ingredients. Many top restaurants in the city book directly with vendors here, which says something about the quality of the products. Still open Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat. Usually the most vendors on Saturday I think. From 8am to 6pm, though on certain days depending on weather some vendors might start taking down their stands earlier. For more info: https://www.grownyc.org/greenmarket/manhattan-union-square-sa

The fruit and veggies are always so fresh and there's so much to pick from for great prices. Yes farmer's markets are more pricey but if you think about it it's really not when you can get so much more and better quality! There's a great variety of goods not just food. The vibe is always a lot of fun and classic staple to the city.
