Purchase a new F350 Super Duty Lariat Tremor $90,000+. Had an awesome salesperson, Leo. On the way home from the dealership, we noticed air or noise on the driver side door seal and a few days later after that, the driver window would not go up. Also, noticed that the truck was wondering around on the road a little. When the salesperson did a follow up call with me, I told him about these issues. So, we set up an appointment for me to return it to get fixed. In the meantime, I received a customer satisfaction call from Ford Motor Company, 10 days after my purchase with about 250 to 300 miles on the truck. I told them my issues and that I was not happy with these issues, and that I would be taking the truck back to the dealer to get these issues fixed. So, I took it back to the dealership, with 588 miles on it. When I arrived to drop off my truck, there were several service writers sitting looking down, like please don't pick me. Finally, I walked up to one and asked if he would help me. I told him my issues, and he asked me if I had a ride because it was going to be a couple of days. Two days later I contacted them, and he said it was going to be another day. The next day, I got a text saying my truck was ready. At this time, I went to pick it up and they told me that I have a $175 bill to fix the alignment. I responded that I am not paying anything and told them this was the way it was when I drove it off the lot with 50 miles on it. So, after arguing with the service manager about the cost, I asked to speak to the general manager. "I was really tired of this whole issue at this point, and the general manager went down the same rabbit hole. Unfortunately, the wind noise is not fixed and now it will need to be returned to a different dealership. I have purchased several new vehicles in my lifetime and never had an issue with warranty issues being fixed. Also, the service department left muddy footprints in my new truck. I attached a picture and it is # 18 at the top, red truck with black floormats. Furthermore, this is the WORST experience every with a service department, after purchasing a new vehicle. You may want to think twice about this dealership. It seems like they want to squeeze every penny out of you and argue about warranty work as well as trash your vehicle. I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE STAR RATING!!! I plan on contacting Ford Corporate directly to get my issues resolved. read more

In September 2025, I purchased a 2020 Ford Explorer from Andy Mohr Ford in Plainfield, Indiana. On May 4, 2026, the transmission completely failed. I contacted CarShield to repair or replace the transmission under my warranty coverage. On May 14, 2026, CarShield denied the claim after diagnostic data reportedly showed that the transmission codes had been cleared at the time of purchase while the vehicle was in Andy Mohr Ford's possession. After speaking with dealership staff, I was informed that the vehicle was indeed in their possession on the date those codes were cleared. I then gave Andy Mohr Ford the opportunity to make this right by either: 1 Replacing the transmission, or 2 Assisting me into another vehicle with no additional down payment while paying off the remaining balance on the Explorer. Yesterday, May 16, 2026, I was informed that Andy Mohr Ford would not be assisting with either option. I find this completely unacceptable. Customers place trust in dealerships to sell vehicles honestly and transparently, not to conceal serious mechanical issues prior to a sale. In the state of Indiana, knowingly concealing or misrepresenting a vehicle's condition may constitute consumer fraud and deceptive sales practices. Because of the dealership's refusal to resolve this matter, I will now be pursuing all available avenues, including filing complaints with the Indiana Attorney General's Office, the Better Business Bureau, consulting legal counsel, and sharing my experience publicly through social media and local media outlets. When I attempted to return an unused, never-installed item, the return was denied based on a condition that was not clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. I asked for the return policy in writing and was not provided any written policy explaining the restriction they were enforcing. If there are limitations that can make a return ineligible, they should be disclosed upfront and available in writing, not applied after the fact. Customer service was also poor. I visited the parts office multiple times and was never greeted. On February 19, 2026, my daughter took her car to your location as the check engine light had come on. I recommended her taking it to your dealership as you have, or as a dealer, are required to have OEM diagnostic tools and procedures to accurately diagnose engine complaints. 15 minutes after the technician looked at the car, she was given a quote for a complete engine replacement for 14,000.00$. having been a technician for 30 years, making this determination in minutes without a rod hanging out or an extreme lower end knock would be impossible. I called and spoke to the service manager, who went on to explain why it would be needed with no justification being provided still as to why it would need an engine. He agreed and the 2nd write up, was just as vague as the first. Things that were discussed that are not on the description are that the head is warped and will require replacement, suspected but not in any way verified turbocharger failure, and a hotspot between 3 and 4 that though they supposedly identified with a borescope , though there was no picture available and the cheapest of borescopes have a camera available. In speaking with Will again, I made it known immediately that we would not be replacing the engine due to their being no clear diagnostics and asked him to provide a quote to disassemble as needed and make an accurate estimate on repair versus replacement cost, as well as the possibility of a ford remanufactured engine, or even a used engine. This was never provided. With the diagnosis being rushed, with no cooling system pressure checks, or oil dyes to determine source of leaks, and with the vehicle running and driving with no smoke indicating burning of oil in the exhaust (a prime indicator of a failed turbocharger), and feeling that your service department was simply attempting to sell an engine to a young woman who didn't know any better, I instructed her to drive the car home, which she did. Due to what your technicians had described as an engine failure, she purchased another vehicle from a different dealership. We had the vehicle shipped from Indiana to Texas to assess the issue. Having access to current diagnostic tools, I connected to the ECM and retrieved the same fault code of which there was still only 1 count of P0012, indicating a timing problem, which I had explained to Will while the car was at your location. We would have been ok with your technicians diagnosing this and repairing it there, but they insisted it needed an engine. In researching the fault code, the solution was straight forward. It was either an actuator fault, a phaser fault, or the engine timing belt/chain had jumped a tooth. Monitoring the data pid, I did indeed find that the timing would not advance. I removed the actuator, and found no metal on the screen, and no debris as described by your technician in the lubrication system. I installed a new actuator, and after a short road test found the timing was now advancing and correlating with load and throttle demand. The car drove fine. The car never in any way needed an engine. The lack of actual diagnosis and using fear as a tactic to convince my daughter to spend 14,000 dollars on unneeded repairs is reprehensible to me as a technician. To be honest, if your service department had provided us with an actual diagnosis instead of a "We see this all the time answer", we most likely would have paid to put an engine in under their recommendation. Thankfully we did not, as the diagnosis they presented was not indicative of needing an engine, nor was their reluctance to repair, and insisting at all times an engine was needed. Their diagnosis was wrong, which I feel was entirely intentional and geared towards engine replacement or selling a young woman a car on the premise that hers was irreparably damaged, which has been proven to be false. Having been a professional technician for nearly 30 years, those actions are exactly what give repair facilities a bad reputation. Why are used car salesmen so shady? Why??? Why do they have to make the process of buying a used vehicle such a maddening ordeal with lies and deceptive practices? So my partner is shopping for a used truck, to replace his work truck. He has a budget he wants to stick to and made it very clear. He specifically wanted a truck they had advertised. Kyle plays the eager salesman over text and phone with him for a few days and talks about how he's going to get this truck cleaned and ready for him. He shows up today and test drives the truck, with the previous owners things still inside it. Decides he likes it, finances it, pays a down-payment and does all the paperwork. Then he's told they just need to run it thru their inspection process and clean it up for him. What? Come to find out, they took it in on a trade and haven't even inspected it yet...even though they have it advertised and completed a sale on it! Surprise, surprise...it doesn't pass their inspection and here we come with all the trucks they know he's financially approved for but are over the budget he's set. Beware of fraud! Bought a $71K Ford F350 diesel dually in December 2024. Finance manager decided to add 2 maintenance warranties to my contract --after I had left the dealership--totaling $7,539! Forged my signature--didn't even spell my name correctly. I only found out about it when Ford credit sent me a letter telling me they were adding charges to my account for a Maintenance Plan. Knowing I had declined every add on they pushed I started calling and investigating. It has taken me hours of work time to uncover the extent of this and try to resolve. My military son broke down along the Highway with his F150. Had the truck towed to this dealership for what turned out to be a water pump and serpentine belt repair. I called the dealership service dept the day after it was towed in and was told they couldn't even look at it for 2 plus weeks. I explained that my son did not live in Plainfield and had gotten stranded,, they did not care and told me that if they made an exception for everyone they'd be 8 weeks out on service. All we wanted was at least a diognosis,,, they could care less. I'm deleting my other review from my last visit (if I can) and replacing it with this one. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! My first visit to Andy Mohr Ford was a while ago, and I was thrilled with the service! The other shoe dropped on this visit. So badly that I won't be back, and it's because of a bogus fee charged to me. In short, they lost a customer and they'll have to deal with several zero or one star reviews over $180. I dropped off my wife's 2016 Escape for a recall item, but the day before, I had an ABS alert on the panel and needed the car aligned, as well, so we took the car in for everything all at once. Shelia was my service tech, and she checked me in and confirmed the car needed alignment (that was pretty cool how the floor can figure that out). I already knew that. She went out to plug into the OBD port and pull the codes off the computer and take pictures, log mileage, etc. She saw the codes and verified them with me, then told me there would be a $180 diagnostic fee. I said that was OK as long as there was actual work, I didn't mind paying something, but I though the codes would indicate the problem, so no real diagnosis was going to need to take place. But not knowing for sure, I agreed, however expressed my displeasure with this over-the-top fee on what was probably going to be an easy fix. They took care of everything on my "list", including the ABS issue. I got back to the Dealership to pick up the vehicle, and another gentleman pushed me straight to the Cashier. I knew I wanted to discuss the $180 fee again, and I knew the cashier wouldn't be able to "argue" it. I went that way anyway. The cashier was VERY nice and gave me the total, but I indicated I wanted to see what they had done before I paid, she immediately agreed and showed me the repair sheet. The $180 fee was still on there. I said the fee was excessive and should be reduced. Of course, she couldn't do that. She called Shelia's desk, and she didn't answer. It took 3 pages on the overhead speaker to get her to come out of wherever she was. I again said that I didn't think it was proper to charge that much. I said it would be entirely appropriate if it took hours and hours of labor to try to find a problem, but this was an easy one. The computer told them what sensor was out, it WAS dead, it needed to be replaced. I paid for the labor to replace the sensor (which was appropriate). She said it was a standard fee and couldn't waive it. I wasn't happy, but Shelia listened to me, but I truly believe her hands were tied. I indicated that I wasn't happy, and she offered to get the service manager, Ali. So, I waited again (at least 5 minutes but not more than 10) , then had to leave and paid the bill and was walking out when the service manager, Ali, showed up. I explained the above, and he repeated the line, "it's a standard fee", and they still charge that fee if it takes hours to diagnose a problem. I said it wasn't hours, it was maybe 15 minutes total, so why was I paying $720 an hour to have someone diagnose the problem and drive it around for a bit to make sure it was fixed? He repeated the "standard fee" line. Yeah, I got it the first time. I disagree. I asked why, then, was I paying to subsidize someone else's difficult repair when I have an easy one that the computer is TELLING you the problem! I got "standard fee" a third time, and it seemed like he wasn't willing to listen AT ALL to my issue. I told him I wasn't happy, and his answer was, "OK". Well, then. That's customer service! You can't offer to reduce the fee/refund for the easy diagnosis? You can't offer me a free oil change? You won't even DISCUSS it other than repeating over and over "standard fee?!? Well, Ali, your answer of "OK" was interpreted as "F off". No problem. I'll just go away. I thanked him for his time and left. I got home and examined the receipt further. The OBD reading was taken when I drove in. That's maybe 1 minute of labor by Shelia. The labor charge on this repair included the test drive, according to the receipt. So, they double-charged me for the repair, with the tech logging his time and also charging me for what had to be the most difficult diagnosis of the day. They are militant about logging time they spend working on vehicles. I get it. You not only want to get paid for the labor, but it also checks the efficiency of your workers and protects you. So, would anyone like to guess what the ONLY part of the visit logged zero time? Yup. The $180 fee. Initially, I figured it was 15 minutes of effort. When I looked further, the OBD reading took Shelia bending over to read the code. The tech probably drove the car around the lot, as the first time he applied the brakes he could tell if the problem was fixed or not (it was). Customer Service is horrible, specifically in the service department. Went here to see if they could troubleshoot my truck. I walked into the service department area and was looked at by several employees (one of them being the service manager) They physically looked at me, then continued working on their computers. Confused I went to the dealerships front desk to ask how/whats the process to get any help. She said just walk in the service area, and someone will help you! Went back to the service area and waited until someone looked or signaled me to come in front of their desk. A few minutes went by and I still wasn't being helped, mind you it wasn't busy in there. I need up asking an older gentleman that worked there (not in the service department) how can I get my truck looked at. He informed me to drive it into the bay. The "service manager" saw this and said nothing (I'll get to the reason why he didn't later) Again, I never been here before. Looking in the service bay from inside, all the vehicles were facing what I thought to be the exit. So I drove my truck around the building, walked inside the service area again only to discover I was on the wrong side. Service manager observed the whole thing. Finally, I drove around to the other side entered the service bay..and walked into the service area desk..to be greeted by the awesome service manager (who I didn't know at the time) I told him the problems I was having with my truck and he informed me that it would be at-least a few days until they could look at it. Knowing they couldn't do any for my truck, i asked who was the manager of the dealership, which he responded "I'm the service manager". I asked him to step outside so we could talk about the whole customer service fiasco I experienced. I can fully understand why the customer service is unsatisfactory...it all starts with the service manager. This guy had an excuse for every situation that happened. He said he didn't want to stop me from leaving the service area the first time because he didn't want to yell over the employees that were on the phone! I pointed out every employee (4) that looked at me and said nothing, including He also included it was my mistake for not knowing how to drive into the bay, we have arrows above the garage to let people know where to drive into. All it take is for employee to say, "Good Afternoon Sir, someone will be with you in a minute"...but no. The service area employees at this dealership mimic the leadership of the service manager. If he has a lackluster attitude, your employees will too...if he's rude and unkind, the employees will be too. I wouldn't recommend bringing your car here to get serviced. So my daughter had to replace her car so we decided to go to Andy Mohr since her sister had just recently replaced her vehicle less than a month ago from there! We go on a Saturday b/c my daughter works 9-5 Mon-Fri. We get there and of course we're helped by a diligent salesperson.. my daughter already knew the vehicle she wanted had the stock number and just wanted to see the vehicle and start the paperwork (we also were using my father's z-plan which is a discount plan for retirees) with the Z -plan vehicles are discounted well below MSRP so we told them we weren't putting any money down since there isn't a need because of the discounted price! The finance manager (Patel) did not seem interested or willing to find any financing for my daughter. Her credit score was great and he literally ran the contract through only 2 banks! Didn't try or suggest another vehicle that maybe would fit more into her budget just said if your willing to put down $10k! We laughed and politely walked out.. came home went online to Capitol City Ford instead and was able to walk out with a new vehicle! Kept the car all day , just been informedthey will have it for a week or more ..its our only tranportation ..on our dime of course.. These people are the worst. I've had 750+ credit for years. They tried to tell me my credit score was 606... when I left and checked my score from 3 different credit reports, they were all 720-750, ive made all payments on time for 4 years and keep below a 3% utilization rate and never carry a balance over. They offered my a 18% APR over 5 years for their car...... absolutely laughable. Then when trying to talk to them about a better rate, they were short and rude, and talked over me.. All they want is your money. They won't haggle on the car prices, they're fixed. Sleazy car dealership. Deserves all the bad reviews it's gotten. My husband and I just recently bought a new explorer and had a great experience at this dealership. Steven K. helped us from the moment we got to the dealership. My husband knew exactly which vehicle we wanted to test drive, and the whole process still took three hours which is why this isn't a 5-star review. I don't understand how we can know exactly what we are looking for, and it takes that long. All part of buying a car I guess! The financing department was easy to work with too, once we wrestled back and forth about numbers. All in all - a great experience and every one was super friendly. I am extremely upset about my experience at Andy Mohr Ford and will never go back. They put me in the exact situation I was adamant about from the beginning could NOT happen - risking my health & safety & in turn my husband's who is immuno compromised & going through chemotherapy by making me wait in a public waiting area, and then they charging me more for it. Short story: - they had my vehicle for 5 business days - "found" nearly $3,000 with of maintenance to do on it - part of that maintenance included cleaning battery terminals - when I came to pick up my vehicle it suddenly wouldn't start & needed a new battery, so I was stuck waiting there for over 30 minutes while they replaced it - to top it off, after I had already paid over $2,800 they then charged me more for their screw up - they also charged me over $100 more than I was quoted, both charges I would normally have asked to speak with a manager about if I wasn't on the verge of an anxiety attack from the situation they put me in - the cashier saw how upset I was & gave me the name of the manger to call later, but when I tried to call I got transferred around, placed on hold, then told the manager would call me back as soon as available but he never did. Long story: I explained my situation from the beginning, my husband is going through chemo & is immune comprised so I could not sit in a waiting area and risk exposure. I wanted our only vehicle thoroughly inspected to ensure it would be reliable for weekly medical appointments. They recommended $2,725 work be done, $1,500 for 2 oil leaks even tho we had zero evidence of oil leaking in our garage or driveway.   After 5 business days. When I got there to pick up my vehicle I was charged $2,826.60 instead of the $2,725 I was told it would cost (tax was only half the difference at $51.31). Since I did not want to be out in public any longer than absolutely required I just paid the new amount instead of disputing it. When they finally brought my car around the man asked if I had been having trouble starting it because he had to jump start it. Seriously?! I had ZERO issues with the battery previously, was told the only issue with the battery they discovered during the full inspection they were supposed to have done was that there was corrosion on the terminals, for which I paid $38.14 to clean off.   The whole point of me having Ford do almost $3,000 worth of service to the vehicle was to ensure it was reliable and when I went to pick it up, after being texted about not picking it up sooner, they tried to give it back to me with a bad battery that was NOT bad when I dropped it off and that I was not told was bad when they did their "thorough" inspection that discovered corrosion on the battery that I paid to have dealt with. I was told the technician must not have tested the battery. HOW is that even possible when he worked on the battery?!   So the end result was me in a public waiting area, which I was adamant from the beginning could NOT happen, risking the health and safety of myself and my immune compromised husband for whom I am the caretaker of, while they put in a new battery that was not bad when I brought it in or when they started doing the work, but was suddenly bad when I came to pick up the vehicle. THEN I was CHARGED another $106.26 for the battery!!! THEY screwed up, they put my health at risk, then they charge me more for it???   If I hadn't been on the verge of an anxiety attack I would have refused to pay it and demanded to speak with a manager, but my husband's life is worth more than $106. After spending nearly $3,000 they should have apologized, given me a safe place away from people coming and going to wait, and written off their screw up. Instead they lost a customer who will be buying a new Explorer or Expedition in the next year, but will absolutely NOT be buying it from Andy Mohr Ford. read more

We preordered a 2022-2023 (we weren't told which one specifically would come in when it became available) Maverick in April of 2022. we were told orders would go in in August 2022. In September, we were notified that we had to hurry up and send our information (drivers licenses, insurance documents, whatnot) because "the order was going in." They also sent paperwork to be signed about the deposit that had already been made. Long story short, we put in a dispute with our Credit Card company for the $1,000 letting them know our goods were not delivered and we couldn't wait any longer. Credit Card company agreed and gave us a credit for the money. We received correspondence in the mail from our Credit Card company recently informing us that the charge had been put back on our account because of paperwork signed by my husband in September 2022. The paperwork has a hand written notice on it with a time frame of 12-18 months ETA that cannot be guaranteed. The entire purchase was basically made online and then actual correspondence from the dealership was slim to none. Here it is March 2023 and we still wouldn't have had our truck even had we not cancelled the order last month. I called the dealership today and told the lady who answered what I would like to discuss with a manager and she abruptly put me on hold before coming back to ask my name and number. I said I didn't want to wait. I wanted to talk to someone right then. I was put on hold and Michelle picked up and very sternly told me there was absolutely nothing she could do because they were basically at the liberty of Ford and they are "very clear" in their refund policy that there are basically no refunds. She said she couldn't look up our order by our name. She needed the specific order number. Again, I was told too bad. We basically took a place in line that someone else could have reserved who actually wanted the truck. So they're now keeping $1,000 for doing nothing and not delivering the product and having no idea of when it would be delivered. This is theft. Period. Complaints will continue to be filed and in reading the BBB site (not the most reputable, but still), I am not the only person so far who has had their money stolen. read more

In advance and then when you bring your truck in, they say they are SOOOOOOO far behind it could take them a week to even look at it!!!! WTF WAS THE POINT IN THE APPOINTMENT?!?!?!?!?
