Stopped by on a Monday mid-afternoon with my mother and brothers to grab a quick bite. We really enjoyed our experience and suggest you give it a try as well. It wasn't very busy at 3:00 in the afternoon, but that was not surprising. Service was great, staff was friendly, and food was fresh and tasty. Two of us grabbed burgers and the other two had plated meals. Everyone was satisfied and enjoyed their choices, just good old fashion food. We then split a cinnamon roll for desert to finish it off. I really enjoyed this place but I did not expect to pay over $60 for two children and one adult. My kids had waffles plate and I had a club sandwich. Oh the lemonades were 7$ each so maybe we'll stick to water next time. Other than the expensive price, we did enjoy the atmosphere. To give a comparison the breakfast food was comparable to Waffle House which I love Waffle House so I won't be coming back to Sandi's. I'd recommend for a one time visitors. read more

Parking in the back, as there's not much up front. Finally made it over here, camping at Lake Corpus Christi State Park. And omg, I'm so glad we did! Just walking in the back door you can tell this is going to be a great meal- the smells wafting around are savory and sweet and the funky 70s music playing along with the diner decor lets you know you are in the right spot! We were seated right away, social distancing and masks are definitely being observed. Two waitress dropped by within moments of sitting down to let take our drink outset's, both let us know they were famous for the waffles and hamburgers. We were all about ordering the waffle until we overheard another waitress talk about the cinnamon roll. Game. On. Um. The cinnamon roll just got dropped off. Oh. My. Word. It's as big as my face y'all. And dripping in buttery frosted goodness. The honey butter on top is unbelievable. I should just stop here. My mouth is in heaven. I'm so glad we made the trip across to this little dive! Hubby had the Monte Carlo omelet (no toast it has browns) and I did the fungi burger (bun less ) and upgraded to onion rings. We're trying to cut carbs. (Don't look at me for the cinnamon bun, we're _trying_ I said. And it was worth every bite!) The onion rings are top notch- breading is delicious and they serving size is great. Hubby's inlet is nearly two inches thick- and packed with meats. Y'all. Come here. Eat good food. Me and my little sister wanted to go and grab some lunch on a rainy day and decided to try this place out that had decent reviews, Once we arrived to Sandi's Diner we noticed there was 3 street parking spots in the front (which is where we parked) and more parking in the back. The business had an old rockabilly them from the outside and the inside was even more vibrant! When we walked inside Sandi's we were quickly greeted and asked to sit anywhere. They had awesome old memorabilia on the walls and throughout the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and explained the menu and the cleanliness of the business was very clean. Me and my sister decided to order omelette's with drinks and a side of Parmesan wings. Once we received our food it was delicious and was perfect temperature. On a busy beautiful Saturday morning, our party of three decided to try this new restaurant in the beloved Hamlin Pharmacy space. It's 50's chic with some of the original Hamlin furniture and decor. Very cute and fun to imagine the Happy Days characters coming in at any time.....the place was busy but we waited and were seated at a part booth/part chairs table. The menu isn't extensive but includes breakfast items, burgers, shakes, snacks and desserts. We ordered waffles with sausage/bacon and eggs, an egg plate with two meats and an egg plate with a chicken fried steak on the side. The food is ok. Not homemade at all which was a disappointment. The waffles were good as were the eggs and chicken fried steak, but the hash browns were a frozen patty you can buy at HEB. The "biscuit" was a dense frozen roll and the condiments (butter, syrup, jelly, ketchup) were in single serve plastic packs, very unappetizing. And why does a diner serve soft drinks from a plastic bottle and not as a fountain drink? Service was fine but prices were high too. The chicken fried steak alone added $6.99 to our egg plate's total. Cost for two waffle plates, one egg plate plus three soft drinks was $56.90 without tip. I'm not sure we'll go back until the food reflects the old-fashioned fun decor. read more

Sandi's was a fun breakfast stop for us. It's a quant little greasy spoon with fun memorabilia throughout. My daughter had a blast playing with a rotary phone on the table. We had nice, polite service. The food was good but was not overly great. It was definitely tasty, but we had heard this place had the best breakfast in town and none of us felt it lived up to the hype. It was good, though. My family & I were in town for a quick trip. We found this place by accident, just driving by, We decided to stop and see if they were sitting inside, as there was 10 of us, they were able to accommodate us in 2 tables. Waking in my first impression was 60's diner How cute! We were greeted upon our arrival by a friendly lady, whom I believe is Sandi. We were seated and the super sweet waitress took our drink orders. They have vintage glass bottles for coke , sprite & Dr Pepper among a few others. My dad ordered coffee which was fresh & hot. We all quickly placed our orders & man! The food is definitely delicious!!! The food was all made to order and mouth watering good! I personally ordered the hand breaded steak with greens beans & mashed potatoes & it was perfect!!! Pork sandwich had some cold meat on it with totally no taste, seasoning - nothing Hubby's "chili cheeseburger" had a splash of watered chili, no meat or beans, just liquid. We absolutely LOVED this place! Not only was the food terrific but the people are too! Sandi waited on us and was so kind!! Shared some history and family info when asked. Next time we will bring her a gift of a vintage item. Love how it feels like the old days with the booths, plates, mugs and decor...trip down memory lane. We will be back for sure! My Husband and I had lunch at the diner. We both ordered the classy hamburger. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the food. The waitress was very pleasant and informative and the diner's atmosphere was very upbeat. However, we found our burgers to be dry as far as the meat was concerned, the onion rings were overcooked and the buns on the burgers, being homemade they said, were hard. While this does not judge the whole menu --as the diners push for their all day breakfast, I would hope that the other items on the menu prove to be more tasty than the experience we had today. read more

Corpus for the weekend and we decided to get breakfast early in the morning. Some of us were craving waffles, omelets, bacon, your typical breakfast items but others were craving a burger for breakfast! I didn't judge lol We pulled up Sandis Diner where they serve breakfast and lunch all day! The place looks like a flashback to the 50s or 50s.. what ever era diners were super popular! So much cool stuff on the walls and the decorations made you feel like you had traveled in time. The lady who treated us was super nice and extremely sweet. Our group of seven ordered and the food came out super fast! Everything was perfect and warm! I got an Ham omelet and added bacon and sausage. My friends got omelets, waffles, and of course the burger! Everything tasted great, the waffles really do taste like funnel cakes! My omelets were still moist and the potatoes were super crunchy!
