Parking in the back, as there's not much up front. Finally made it over here, camping at Lake Corpus Christi State Park. And omg, I'm so glad we did! Just walking in the back door you can tell this is going to be a great meal- the smells wafting around are savory and sweet and the funky 70s music playing along with the diner decor lets you know you are in the right spot! We were seated right away, social distancing and masks are definitely being observed. Two waitress dropped by within moments of sitting down to let take our drink outset's, both let us know they were famous for the waffles and hamburgers. We were all about ordering the waffle until we overheard another waitress talk about the cinnamon roll. Game. On. Um. The cinnamon roll just got dropped off. Oh. My. Word. It's as big as my face y'all. And dripping in buttery frosted goodness. The honey butter on top is unbelievable. I should just stop here. My mouth is in heaven. I'm so glad we made the trip across to this little dive! Hubby had the Monte Carlo omelet (no toast it has browns) and I did the fungi burger (bun less ) and upgraded to onion rings. We're trying to cut carbs. (Don't look at me for the cinnamon bun, we're _trying_ I said. And it was worth every bite!) The onion rings are top notch- breading is delicious and they serving size is great. Hubby's inlet is nearly two inches thick- and packed with meats. Y'all. Come here. Eat good food. Die happy with the cinnamon roll. And come back for more. We sure will!

Me and my little sister wanted to go and grab some lunch on a rainy day and decided to try this place out that had decent reviews, Once we arrived to Sandi's Diner we noticed there was 3 street parking spots in the front (which is where we parked) and more parking in the back. The business had an old rockabilly them from the outside and the inside was even more vibrant! When we walked inside Sandi's we were quickly greeted and asked to sit anywhere. They had awesome old memorabilia on the walls and throughout the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and explained the menu and the cleanliness of the business was very clean. Me and my sister decided to order omelette's with drinks and a side of Parmesan wings. Once we received our food it was delicious and was perfect temperature. I would highly recommend this place for either breakfast or lunch! Thank you Sandi's Diner!

Great waffle and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs! Light and fluffy. Several burgers and sandwiches to choose from too.

    The outside.

Slow service, food wasn't good at all. Ambiance was 70s theme. I had the pancakes, eggs, sausage & bacon. It wasn't good.

I Yelp'ed on the iPhone; I first found a cajun restaurant that seemed well recommended (the others around it were not), but could not find the location of it. So Plan B, found Dot'z and the exterior looked cute like a 50's dinerish place on the beach. Ordering was a little tricky, it's up on the wall but you can combine things you see on the wall. Wait staff was alright, not overly eager to serve, but not rude or disrespectful. You order and it takes maybe 5-10 mins to get a meal out. The ice cream also looked good, but did not sample any on this go around. I went with the chicken sandwich to try and stay a little healthy in this haven of beach food. Came very plain jane. I don't recall if it had mushrooms on it or not, but I distinctly remember thinking I paid for this?!? It had the appearance of fast food burger joint, not trendy little place on the beach. They have small inside seating but if a few folks are there, they have a covered patio area that is a good break from the sun. No fans or ventialtion that I recall outside. They also have a nice playground right outside if you need to occupy the kids in a safe place while you eat. Overall, I wanted to like the charm of the place, but could just not get into it. Thus, 3 stars.

We were able to sit outside on their patio with our dogs and enjoy a good hot dog. The food experience isn't something to get excited about, but we were really happy they were accommodating to us since we brought our pets. The atmosphere is fun and the hot dogs are good. Great place to come if you have a large family!

I went to **Chops & Eggs** in Corpus Christi expecting a good meal. I left convinced the place is…read morerunning some sort of delicious, well-lit conspiracy against boring breakfast. First of all, the ambiance: imagine an upscale hash house that got a promotion and immediately started dressing better--but didn't lose its sense of humor. It's polished without being pretentious, cozy without being sleepy, and stylish in that "yes, I woke up like this" kind of way. You feel instantly cooler just sitting down. Now let's talk about the owner, who is as charming and witty as the menu itself. The kind of person who could explain the specials or casually win a dinner-party debate at the same time. You get the sense this place isn't just run--it's hosted. Like you've been invited into a very tasteful, very funny friend's kitchen. The food, though. Oh, wow! Every dish arrives looking like it knows it's about to be photographed, admired, and then absolutely demolished. The flavors are vibrant, confident, and unapologetically delicious--nothing timid, nothing lazy. Each bite feels intentional, like the chef personally dared it to be that good. And speaking of the chef: whoever is behind the pass clearly has a hilarious sense of humor. Not in a "let's be weird for attention" way, but in a clever, playful, "I love my job and I want you to love this meal" way. The menu reads like it's in on the joke, and the food delivers the punchline--repeatedly. In short, **Chops & Eggs** is what happens when excellent taste, sharp wit, and serious culinary skill all sit down at the same table and decide to show off a little. Come hungry. Leave happy. Try not to smirk while you eat--it's harder than you think.
