This location is cute and chic and nestled in a complex that makes you feel bougie. The staff wasn't too friendly, they seem to be all business, no small talk, just took my order and went on to making my drink. My friend and I visited a nearby dog park and afterward decided to grab a quick drink. She loves Andytown Coffee Roasters in San Francisco, so we decided to stop by for a drink. I ordered the strawberry passion fruit plover (10/10) - it's a refreshingly delicious choice. Initially, I ordered and paid for the original bird, but when I noticed a banner advertising the strawberry passion fruit plover, I asked if I could change my order since both drinks were the same price. The cashier and barista were incredibly sweet and happily made the switch for me. I was fully expecting them to say no, but they were so kind! I thoroughly enjoyed my drink, which had a nice hint of creaminess from the whipped cream. Unfortunately, my friend's matcha latte (4.5/10) was quite watered down - the light green color gave it away even before we tasted it. First of all, if you're in a hurry, don't come here! BUT the coffee and everything is amazing! It's just slow service. But totally worth it if you have time to hang out for a bit. Parking is a bit inconvenient if there's none in the road. You have to go down into a parking garage and after November 4, you have to pay for the parking there. So once again, if you don't have time to hang out, you wouldn't want to come here because you might end up having to pay for parking. But if you have time, you can park down the street and walk in. PSA: They don't have WiFi! It's been a while since I've been to the Taraval and Lawton locations in SF, but I feel like at least one of those had free wifi. This new Menlo location is larger than either of the Outer Sunset ones. Spacious, filled with light, nice ambiance and neat art of the eponymous snowy plover (a must try drink and their signature--tastes just as good as the other locations) amidst light wood furnishings and decent seating. Clean bathroom. There are a few tables outside as well. Service is straightforward, friendly. I still like the SF locations best (perhaps it's the cozy misty fog and overcast skies that always felt like a familiar hug?) but this'll do for my Peninsula snowy fix. read more

Stopped by on a Monday morning around 8am after a long drive. The space is super cute and parking was easy. I had a coffee and also a strawberry scone. Both were so so tasty - especially the scone!! ANDYTOWN I LOVE YOU!! COME TO SOCAL PLEASE!! This location seemed a bit newer but still as amazing as the other location I have been to in SF! We parked in the structure and walked up to the small but nicely decorated store. The staff were very friendly and welcoming when we walked into the store. It was pretty small but they had seating areas both inside and outside to get some work done. GET THE SNOWY PLOVERS! The original bird reminds me of an espresso tonic leveled up with their whipped cream. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and the cream was delicious when you drink it with the espresso brown sugar mixture. My friend got the matcha one and it was good as well! I am not a big matcha person but it was still enjoyable. GET THE SCONES IF THEY STILL HAVE THEM! They looked amazing and we wanted to try the seasonal pumpkin + chocolate one and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly sweet and it wasn't a typical pumpkin spice flavor - you could taste the individual chunks of the pumpkin! Overall a great experience and a must visit every time I am up in NorCal. I was told by a veteran friend that I just "have to" try Andytown coffee because its "the best". My daughter ordered the iced coffee with cream and sugar. I ordered the matched plover. I asked what it was and she said it was similar to a rootbeer float but matcha. Omg, DON'T buy it. It was freaking disgusting. Rootbeer floats are sweet and yummy. I even added about 6 sugar packets and nothing would make it drinkable, I took one sip and spit it out and threw the drink away. If you like seltzer water you might like it. But it was seltzer water with a tiny bit of matcha powder. My daughter drank about half of her drink. read more

I'm so happy Andytown has come to Palo Alto! They deserve a lot more locations along the peninsula. I really do love their matcha latte. Basic, but very good and not so sweet. I asked for it to be sweetened with honey and thankfully they accommodate that. The only thing I wish they had was soy milk as a milk alternative, but I'll gladly settle for whole milk until they do. Lovely staff working on 8/2 (Tuesday) around noon. Super welcoming and nice, and our drinks were made perfectly. There are only a few tables inside to do work on, but there are lots of seating outside and in the plaza. Coffee that never disappoints! You can tell the quality for their coffee is top tier, I go once a week at this point to get the brown sugar almond milk latte. The staff is super nice and I am always in and out of there in a few minutes. The place is cute and they sell funny greeting cards which I think is a great touch! read more

Snowy plover is decadent and excellent. Espresso, brown sugar syrup, sparkling water, dollop of house whipped cream on top. It looks really pretty with all the layers, but the best way to go is to mix it all up so the cream combines with the drink. The cream isn't super sweet but it adds an amazing rich creaminess, like a latte but even better. At the same time, the sparkling water adds bubbles and a lift so it's not just heavy dairy. This Andytown is in a wonderful location right on El Camino, and the inside of the shop is very nice. With that being said, the woman who was serving me today was extremely rude. It was very surprising. It's a shame that you go to a nice place and the person serving you acts as though they have contempt for the customer. Ok, alllll of my friends have been raving about this place for the past two weeks and I am fortunate enough to have a location so close by. Yesterday and today I went in to try two of their specialty drinks, the matcha latte and the matcha plover. I've never seen something like their plover drink and I love the whipped cream on top. The people who work there are friendly and the store gives off an indie vibe which I like. I also tried the currant scone which was crunchy and tasty. i've never had coffee like andytown's! andytown has quick service & great ambiance to get some work done. they also played bladee here so shoutout to the workers the original bird (10/10): my bf LOOOVED this drink so much that he wants to go back and order two to go. the perfect mix of smooth coffee, fizz, and cream. this drink wasn't super sweet but was perfectly sweetened by the whipped cream matcha plover (10/10): wow i was not expecting to love this so much. i'm not a huge sparkling water fan but wanted to try this regardless. this is essentially matcha cream soda. if i had to improve anything, i would ask for slightly more whipped cream overall, i love andytown and i'll be a frequent visitor whenever i'm in the area. read more

Andytown is located in one of the new monolithic office/housing developments on El Camino. We decided to head over for afternoon coffee, and ordered several drinks (not their signature Plover which looked way too sweet). They were not busy -- very few people were in the store -- but our drinks still seemed to take a while. My espresso was good, not exceptional. Reason for the two stars: the attitude exuded by the baristas. We're locals and got the "you're just not cool enough for us" vibe. I think I've been to every other coffee store in MP (some many, many times) and have never encountered this level of antipathy before. Parking is also an issue. We found a spot by the tracks, but during busier times it would be a challenge to get in/out of the lot. read more

One of the better drug dealers in the area with a well-deserved national reputation, Andytown is the real deal. An espresso shot from here can and does quite literally make my day. Props to Ben for being super kind and generous with his advice on pulling espresso shots. Sure, it's easier when you're rocking La Marzocco machinery that probably costs close to 30K.
