I came here because of the stellar reviews and nail pics on Yelp and social media, but the service…read moreand quality of work were extremely disappointing and did not match my expectations. I do not recommend getting a Gel-X mani here. First, the recommendation I was given didn't make sense. My natural nails had grown out pretty long, so I asked for hard gel. Multiple staff members recommended Gel-X extensions instead for the design I wanted. My natural nails were only slightly shorter than my reference image, but I wanted to trust their expertise. I was wrong. I chose the shorter extension length and it ended up being the same length of my natural nail before the tech cut them, so the extensions added nothing and I unnecessarily had my nails cut. Second, the application quality doesn't match the price. There are ill-fitting corners throughout. Rather than sizing up to an extension that fit my nail bed, the tech filed down my side walls to force the smaller one to fit, which hurt. One extension on my index finger is visibly crooked. I pointed it out and was told it looked straight - looking at it again and in photos, it's clearly off-center. There's also still cured gel on my skin, which is a contact dermatitis risk. Third, the pricing was not transparent. I paid $115 for a Gel-X removal and Gel-X manicure. The pricing on the website and at check-in is confusing, and when I showed my inspiration photo up front, no one quoted me. The tech told me the price, $155, only after she had already started the design. I got it down to $115 by dropping the star flakes, which were $40 on their own. I want to pay techs fairly for their work, but $40 for star flakes isn't worth it. To be fair, there were genuine positives. I called to let them know I was running 10 minutes late and the staff were completely understanding about it. And when I asked for a swirl cat eye design, my tech told me upfront that it was above her skill level rather than overpromising. She still gave it a shot, and I really appreciated that honesty. Overall, I can't recommend this place. The quality of work and service don't match the price, and what frustrates me more is that the staff didn't listen to my questions and were quick to shut me down instead of working with me. Given the reviews here, I'll assume this isn't the standard, and that it's fixable.

I really appreciated that she was willing to come to the house. The only hiccup was that she would not go upstairs until colors were chosen, so I ended up having to reveal the surprise a little earlier. That part was fine, but the payment situation became a bigger issue than expected. I accidentally sent the payment through Apple Pay even though she prefers Zelle or Venmo. I let her know I could correct it and my cousin could help her move the funds, but she became very frustrated and spent about half an hour on the phone in the hallway with me instead of starting the services. I kept reassuring her that I would Zelle her regardless, but she seemed really upset with me. Once everything got settled, the appointment went more smoothly. My grandma's nails and toes turned out great and she was really happy. My aunt's nails were just okay, but I know the technician might have been short on time. I did not mind the small pricing adjustments since it had been a long time since my grandma had a pedicure and I was unsure what my aunt had on her nails beforehand. Overall, the service itself was helpful for my family and I am grateful they were taken care of. There were a few kinks that made the experience stressful, but the idea of mobile service is wonderful and I still appreciate the convenience it offered.

I hired this mobile nail technician (Not Stephanie, it was Hang Nguyen) to provide a manicure and…read morepedicure for my 55-year-old sister, who has been hospitalized for over three years and is recovering from a stroke. This wasn't just a nail appointment. It was my attempt to give my sister a chance to feel beautiful again after everything she has been through. Before the appointment, I asked for the total and even offered to pay her upfront through Venmo. She told me not to and said I could pay after the service was completed. Unfortunately, this experience was heartbreaking from start to finish. During the appointment, my sister called me several times because the technician had become fixated on whether she was going to be paid. My sister was trying to reassure her that I would absolutely pay, but the technician continued bringing it up. At one point, my sister asked if she wanted to speak with me, and the technician responded that she was working while my sister put me on speakerphone. I again reassured her that I would pay her and reminded her that I had even offered to pay before the appointment. There was never any question that she was going to be paid. Instead of focusing on making my sister feel comfortable, the repeated conversations about payment created unnecessary stress during what was supposed to be a special experience. My sister told me the technician was rushed, unkind, and didn't make the appointment feel relaxing or special in any way. There was no hand or leg massage with lotion, no pampering, no attention to detail--just a rushed service. The quality of the manicure and pedicure was also extremely disappointing. The polish is uneven, on the skin, and does not reflect what I would expect from a $175 professional service. I've attached photos so others can judge for themselves. After the service was finished, my sister was crying and wanted the technician to leave. Instead, she refused to leave my sister's hospital room until payment was received. By that time, I was driving on the highway. I explained that I could not safely send a Venmo while driving and asked for a few minutes so I could pull over. She still refused to step outside the room or give my sister any privacy while she was visibly upset. She could have easily waited outside the room for a few moments, but she chose not to. The nurses ultimately became involved because my sister was so distressed. I still honored my commitment and paid her in full. However, I also told her that I was extremely disappointed and that I had every right as a customer to express that disappointment. Paying someone because you keep your word does not mean the service met expectations. The part that hurts me the most is what happened afterward. My sister called me crying and said it had been a terrible day. Then she said something I'll never forget: "I feel so ugly now." That was the exact opposite of what I had hoped this experience would give her. I wanted her to feel cared for, beautiful, and valued. Instead, she was left feeling embarrassed, upset, and heartbroken. When you choose to work with people who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from serious medical conditions, technical skill is only part of the job. Kindness, patience, compassion, and professionalism matter just as much. Sadly, this experience lacked all of those qualities.
