I've come here three times over the last couple of months for the following services: gel pedicure ($130 for a top tech), gel-X manicure ($190 for a top tech), and gel-X removal ($40). For the gel pedicure and gel-X manicure, my (top) tech was Naki, who was very meticulous and professional. It was my first time getting a gel-X manicure, and she took the time to help me pick both the color and the length. I absolutely loved how they turned out! Since I work in healthcare and in the operating room, I unfortunately had to have the gel-X manicure removed at the end of my vacation (sad). Dana helped me with the removal, and she was also excellent. She took the time to not only remove the extensions but also to shape my natural nails. The interior is bright, modern, and clean (they always have Gossip Girl playing in the back). During my gel-X manicure, I was offered champagne and a macaron, which was a thoughtful touch. I was super excited to get a russian mani at Look at Me after trying a couple of other spots that specialize in russian manicures in the city. From the moment you see the storefront, the vibes are super cute and the interior is sleek but comfortable. My nail tech started with removing my old hard gel right away and was quick and efficient at shaping my nails and perfectly trimming my cuticles. She was thoughtful, checking in with me to make sure I was happy with the shape and length and I got such a nice neutral white with a subtle sparkle for the wintertime. I loved the color! I was also offered coffee, champagne, or tea towards the beginning of my session and the green tea I opted for was a great cozy drink to pass the time with. This was my first time trying a russian manicure after seeing it all over social media. After getting seated, I was offered coffee, champagne or water. The experience already felt very luxurious. I had gel nails on already so she removed my old gel with a filer. Most spots make you soak your nails with acetone which isn't the best for your nails. Since it was the holidays, I went with a dark cherry nail which she delivered! She was so precise with cutting my cuticles and the painting around the edges. I've never seen a nail tech this precise before. On top of that, my nails were so glossy and shiny. I literally couldn't stop looking at them. I have been going here for a while as a model for Russian manicure. Being a model is a hit or miss. Only once did I get someone so good they blew me away (I forgot her name), the rest were decent and yesterday's was HORRIBLE (I will explain later). I believe it also depends on the service as well because the one woman that blew me away with the mani, did a horrible job on my pedi when I specifically booked with her and paid full price (over $100!). So back to my horrible experience from yesterday, 2/5/2026. I was a model yet again. Mind you, you cannot pick your tech when you are a model. You are assigned to a random tech, which is ok with me because I never really had a bad experience prior to yesterday. My tech ended up being Siia. She spent at least 30-45 minutes (maybe even an hour) filing down my nail bed. I literally had NO nail polish on so I did not understand why she was filing my nail bed so much. While she was vigorously filing my nail bed down, she managed to also vigorously file the skin at my cuticle on every finger on my left hand. I was bleeding and in pain. When I brought it to her attention, she had the audacity to blame me and say that my skin was very dry and she was being "gentle". She said my skin looked dry but didn't realize it looked dry because she was filing it down with the nail file. I immediately bought this to the attention of management, or whoever runs their Instagram page. I texted them the photo that I posted here and they apologized and said they spoke with the tech to ensure this does not happen again. I am upset because this is my first bad experience here and it is a serious one. My fingers right below my cuticles are still in pain. I didn't want to get an infection so I rubbed Neosporin over all my fingers. It also burns like crazy when I wash my hands with hot water. I have no idea how long this will take to fully heal but I am hoping sooner than later and I am also hoping that I do not develop an infection. +3 stars because I did take care of this privately with management and I would still come back. Just please don't assign Siia as my tech again! read more
