They speak an assortment of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, w Mandarin probably being their main language. They have some good gel colors to choose from; i got a cat eye. Not so much for regular non-gel polishes. I ended up getting my first gel pedicure due to the lack of regular polish color choices. Loved my mani and pedi ($20 extra for my very THOROUGH extra callus scrub). While I didn't get any fun designs, this would be the place to go to for that.

I was the only one at the salon so Moon came to me immediately. I told her that I wanted an ombre french tip with dip powder and asked if she could do it. She said yes and proceeded to waste my time for TWO. HOURS. Here's a break down of the timeline since it's important, and I told Moon when I booked my appointment that I had work at 3PM and needed to leave before then. 1PM - my appointment 3PM - work began for me and I needed to leave by then During my manicure, Moon was getting frustrated because she couldn't do it. When I noticed that she was attempting to give me a classic french tip instead of an ombre, I flat out asked her if she knew how to do it. That's when she admitted that she doesn't know how. At this point, I had been at the salon for an hour and I told her that I would be fine with a classic french tip if it was easier for her. Guys. SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO DIP POWDER!!! I don't know why she even offers it as a service. My manicure came out lumpy and the tips were awful, they weren't clean. When I inspected them, she sheepishly asked, "they look bad, huh?" GIRL, YES! At that point, it was 2:40PM. So I said, "Moon, you're aware I have work in 20 minutes. Where can we go from here?" She said she's better at gel and she could do that for me instead, so we proceeded. Even with gel, the manicure didn't look really good because she tacked on the gel on top of the powder she put on. I have natural nails so she put SO MUCH product on my actual nails that the products began to chip two days later and my actual nails started to break. At the end of my manicure, Moon charged me $50. She didn't offer a discount for wasting two hours of my life for the worst manicure I've ever had. On top of that, after I paid, she said "see you next week!" I asked her what she meant because I did NOT give her any indication that I wanted to return. She replied "so I could fix your nails." Umm, excuse me?? Why would I EVER return to your awful salon for your terrible skills??? Plus, she had charged me full price -- did that mean she'd do the same if I were to have returned for her to try to salvage what she wrecked? I just told her that I wouldn't return. It seemed very arrogant of her to assume I would trust her again. I really wish I had images to show you all just how bad Moon's skills are, but I was so embarrassed at the manicure she gave me that I didn't want to take any photos at the time. I really try very hard to find the good in any business until they demonstrate the epitome of "bad…read moreservice." 1. I called and asked for full set gel nails and manicure. 2. Grateful they were available on a Sunday (mind you I'm traveling and decided to wait till this trip for these fine services...my self-care for a rough last few months helpinghomeless youth and young adults.) 3. My manicure was a portable footsoaker and I only soaked in between taking my feet out for service. I had to use a small stool to place my feet upon. (I was too embarrassed to take a photo!) I had to ask for a second pillow because it was hard on my, just massaged back from Alibaba Foot Spa &Massage. One young lady was "doing" my feet while thr second one worked on my nails.(‍ use your mind to visualize how awkward that was and how I was sitting. 4. The young lady that was working on my feet did a great job, I must say as far as cleaning up my toes with filing and cutting, etc. 5. The young lady that was working on my fingers, I'm not sure what and how the communication went wrong. We struggled with understanding gel polish for my nails and regular polish for my toes. It also didn't help that she could not understand English very well. I wasn't bothered until she lost all communication about my nails. I was waiting for her to pull out nails, as I asked when called. However when I ask where were the nails to apply with the gel polish, I was told that they would cost $75 contrary to the $50 charge originally given. I told her nevermind and that I would go elsewhere for my nails; and will only finish up my feet. We're not counting the time wasted for no nails at this at this point. 6. At the checkout, I pull out my credit card to pay for the "limited services" and was told the charge was $50 ($30 for feet and $20 for cleaning my nail cuticles. But no gel or nails! 7. Lastly, a third young lady informed that they only take cash, Zelle, or Venmo! Mind you when I called and arrived, it was never told to me the form of payments. Probably because when I arrived, the young ladies seemed a bit discombobulated and I pray it wasn't because of my skin!! The service received was NOT close to being fair! And to think that I used Google to find them and they had a 4.6 review and was 3 minutes from my wonderful Massage...remember I was in need of Self-care! I missed one review from Layla 3 years ago, "If you aren't of Asian descent don't come here!" This is troubling if you are in the nail industry and can only do "one" race. Let that be known on the front end and not after unspeakable service and charges!

She flicked the towel a couple of times to remove whatever was on top of it or stuck on it. I have to admit that I will not be coming back here. I keep thinking about the dirty towel that is underneath my feet. I thought to myself that if she intends to use it to dry my legs, I'll be walking out. Guess what? Carol wanted to dry my feet with the dirty towel. She then tried to use another towel that also looked dirty. I pulled my feet and legs away so that she would be unable to dry them. I only allowed her to dry my feet when she placed alcohol on my feet, I figured the alcohol would kill whatever was on the towel. I decided to just get a massage without having my nails painted since I know I'll get charged for the $25 pedicure. Carol cut my nails and removed my cuticles without hurting me. I'll have to admit I was afraid when I saw a couple of pictures on Yelp with people that bled from their manicure. The massage is something I would not pay extra for. I usually ask for a longer massage when I enjoy the massage, but I didn't enjoy the massage as I do at other salons. Would I recommend this place? They are very friendly, and I was able to walk in for a pedicure. Carol did a good job in cutting and cleaning my nails. Most of the employees wore a mask. I just can't believe how dirty the towels were.
