This place is wonderful! I've been to many nail salons over the years, and this place stands out. I always ask for Kim - she is very sweet, and she has always given me the best mani/pedis. She pays close attention to detail, and gives the most incredible hand massages (I always add a 10min hand massage with her). I've gotten basic mani/pedis, gel polish, dip powder, hard gel, etc. My nails are always perfect, and my hands feel brand new when I leave here. Highly recommend! Just wanted to mention - I noticed that the negative reviews on here are about there being a wait time when you have an appointment. I have had to wait on occasion, but I always understand - they do their best to accommodate as many people as possible, and sometimes they may run late. This is just what happens, and will happen at any nail salon you go to. I've been going to this particular one for a long time, and the entire staff are friendly and accommodating. I called before coming in to ensure they had openings immediatly. They accepted my request and started my pedicure at 6:30pm ending just after 7pm. Fast and efficient they did a great job on color application, and they also have a rainbow of OPI polish colors. Small parking in the back and you can go up the stairs to back entrance. read more

Time Square Nails is a small store in the city of San Marino. I called in to see if they can fit me in for a gel manicure and they said they were able to. I walked in and had to wait a little bit but still, it was alright. The inside is quite small but they do offer manicures and pedicures with different colors. I wanted to pick a light pink glitter and nothing too dark since it is the holidays. Overall I do think this place does an alright job. Just wish they massaged your hands longer like other places do. read more

I struggled with writing a review, but after several chances to give this salon the benefit of the doubt, I am moved to make the following comment based on personal experience. If you are of a dark skin tone, the service you may receive is not consistent with customers of lighter skin. Even with appointments made in advance there is a difference in service. Other customers walk in having their technician waiting for them to arrive, because they have an appointment. On several occasions, when I arrive with an appointment, made days to a week in advance, other customers are in the process of having a service. I am told that it "gets busy" and "don't make an appointment, take anyone". In one occasion, the nail tech - Kim, who I had an appointment with, refused to do my nails because she didn't have lunch, and it's now after 4pm in the afternoon. On My last visit , I wanted to add a service and Linh- the salon manager became argumentative, coming over telling me that I can't have additional service because it was not requested, no one else can serve me because they are waiting for their customers to arrive soon. Yet on my past recent visits, I arrive and wait, though having an appointment, which means that my selected technician was not waiting for my arrival. Other customers are always greeted with a smile and I am told to sit at the end. It is very clear that this ongoing treatment is intentional. After being spoken to unprofessionally today in front of other customers, I decided to leave. I said to the technician that this keeps happening and it's clear that they don't want my business, so I will leave. Even with her wearing a mask, I can see the smile coming through and she then tells the manager she doesn't know what happened. It's okay because I was saved in spending money in a place that doesn't deserve my business. Nail seekers, beware. read more

I walked in and asked for a pedicure and they sat me down right away. I paid $46 which is cheaper than I've paid in the past for other nail places. I was a bit confused tho bc I wasn't sure what the pricing was and they never asked what pedicure I wanted. I guess they just gave me the basic one with gel polish. My nail tech seemed pretty careful and she kept going back to clean stuff up and make it look nice. She did pull out/cut some nail from the side of my toe and that kinda hurt. Called a little after they opened and was able to get three people in at 10. When we arrived two of us were seen right away and the third had to wait since there were 4 technicians working. I got the ombré dip which turned out really nice. She thinned out the powder so it looks super natural! I appreciate that she took the time to make it look clean! The classic pedi was basic but does the job! (Just soaking in hot to warm water) The tech who worked on my feet had a difficult time with my toes since I have ingrown toenails. I appreciate that she asked for help from the boss (who worked on my hands) the tech who worked on my feet was also careful working on my feet. She did well! ----- this is an update in which I changed the 4 star to 2 star because my toe became infected after 2 days. (Pus from the side of the toenail) although she put tons of alcohol on my toe while she was doing it, it could have been the tools that were not sterilized . I understand that they are eager to have business and they don't want to turn people away but if I make an appointment, I expect to not have to wait longer than the time that is of the norm. If you're running behind and is finishing a customer up, I get it. However, if I have to wait for another customer's entire course of manicure to be done, then I just find that to be extremely disrespectful of my time. This is not the first time and thus I am leaving a review. Don't expect to be serviced at the time of your appointment. If you have plenty of time to wait around, then this is an ok place to come. I live about a mile down from here and finally came around to checking it out. I regret nothing, it's super clean, all staff wore masks, ventilation in the building was good, and they wore gloves. I also really like (and only go to) mail salons that use the plastic linings for the pedi tubs, and they do that here, which is great. I had their special mani and pedi which comes with a massage, masks on both and hot stones. I defy recommend , total was $102 not Including tip, which seems fair since they really work their massage and did a very delicate gentle job with both mani and pedi.I have them $140 because they truly deserved it. I did a panic search on Yelp and found Time Square Nails and called immediately to make an appointment hoping someone could salvage my wedding nails. Lynn went above and beyond accommodating me at the last minute, soaked off the other horrific nails, and gave me the ombré wedding nails of my dreams. I'm so glad it worked out and I didn't settle for less for my wedding day! I even booked my next appointment with her during my visit. They've been there for years and just remodeled during Covid. First timer review! Went here an hour before closing and still felt like I received pretty good service! Cindy did my pedicure. It was refreshing and felt renewed. The pedicure is $22 and it went for the "dead skin removal" too which was $7. That itself was just a-maz-ing! Here was the entire process: -Soak -Cleaning skin around your toes -Clipping & filing -Oil on toes -Buffer toes -some type of lotion on feet (the $7) -Rock Scrub on feet (the $7) -Orange rocky scrub on legs -Lotion Massage (feet & legs) -Toe Painting Overall it was pretty good. The comfort wasn't as great (no massage chairs) and the toe clipping was pretty mediocre & felt like there wasn't much effort put into it. My feet felt great and my heels were soft! Vivian worked on my manicure. She kindly removed the acrylic nails with a gentle touch. She did not remove the whole thing cause my nails are paper thin from another nail salon. She filed them down to match my natural nail.
