I was so impressed with this place! The only thing that is touch is they don't take reservations so you have to go put your name in but they have lots of spots to sit while you wait for your table. We went around 7pm on a Saturday in the winter and we only had to wait around 25mins. We got seated and our server was great! She was quick and friendly. We got an app and it came out really fast. I thought the prices were great for the amazing food. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. All the food was so great! I'll be back even if I have to wait a while to get in!

We had a great meal here. The only thing that could have made it better was if it wasnt pouring and we could have tailgated in the parking lot while we waited!they are a well oiled machine here with lots of areas to sit while you wait to be seated. We got there at 5:10 and waited 30 mins for a table. We had a drink and met some new people. The food was really good and very inexpensive. The steak with the surf and turf is fillet tips. They were very good. Tonights vegetable was butternut squash. It was really good as was the baked beans. A fun experience which reminded me of the old Hilltop steakhouse in boston.

Truly the most amazing experience and best service ! Ben our server went above and beyond and gave us the best experience! The food was delicious and Ben made sure that we were happy with absolutely everything. The long line at opening was worth the wait ! We will be coming back everytime we're in town :)

Despite it taking time to be acknowledged at our table we had a fantastic time! Food was delicious as always. It is Simplistic which is what I appreciate. You don't have to do anything crazy with steak, keep it simple and let the cut of meat shine! Due to it being spring it was busy but not the usual crazy busy with allowed us to appreciate the dinner more. I loved that we were sat upstairs it is just so much nicer in my opinion. It is always nice to see some of the same faces, it truly speaks volumes for the restaurant to have repeat staff season after season!

The best steak hands down! My hubby and I had steak dinners here and it was so good! Great service, great experience! The restaurant was clean and very cozy on the inside.

This past summer was our second visit to The Steakhouse. Crazy wait times, but solid food. I started with the French onion soup, which was flavorful and filling. I had the ribeye with the "house potato" and mixed veggies. I wasn't really a fan of the house potato. I can't really explain it. Sort of like a twice baked potato, but pretty bland. Veggies were nice and steaks were cooked to our liking. Wait time for food was also pretty long, but the place was packed and I give the servers alot of credit as there is a whole second floor of seating that they need to carry the food up to. They must be exhausted at the end of their shifts. We will continue to visit when we are in the area.

For our last dinner during our Ogunquit vacation, we went to The Steakhouse after hearing it was one of the top 10 steakhouses in New England and number 1 in Maine. We waited about an hour to be seated, but once we got to the table, the food came out quickly and our server took great care of us. I was really craving cheese for an appetizer, so I had the mozzarella sticks, and the marinara sauce was pretty basic, but I wouldn't expect that to be the speciality of a steakhouse. My husband enjoyed his French onion soup and the A5 Wagyu Ribeye special, and since I had already done a steak dinner earlier on the vacation, I opted for the unique chicken scampi. Everything was tasty, including our house salads and rolls. I would definitely be curious to come back and try a steak dinner myself, but I can see why it's such a busy place! Really cool vibe in an antique barn setting.

This is by a long shot one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The hospitality here is non-existent and the food is mediocre.

After driving 40 minutes we arrived 10 minutes early as they don't open until 430; no problem ,they saw us in the parking lot and waved us in. Unusual as most places guard the door to the second. They sat us immediately, and introduced us to our server Alyssa ,who turned out to be the most knowledgeable , professional person we have ever met. And we have been dining out and working in the industry for many years! The fun began; my wife ordered her Filet Mignon and I asked Alyssa what she recommended , shocking me she said The Skirt Steak with marbled potatoes with the empanadas as an appetizer. I was certain she would have said the Porterhouse or Tomahawk to upsell us but she was spot on as it was incredibly tender and flavorful . In summary it was the most delightful fine dining experience we have ever enjoyed! Thank you Alyssa and your incredible chefs and fellow servers for unforgettable 56 anniversary dinner!

We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so decided on the mixed grill for 2, with mashed potatoes and fires on the side. We started with the focaccia bread and oil dressing that were very good. We also got the enchiladas, one spicy cheese and the other beef. These were okay, nothing crazy but enjoyable. However, the mixed grill was simply not worth the money. The sausage was over cooked, strip steak flavorless and the long short ribs were tough. The chicken was okay, but nothing better than anywhere else I've had grilled chicken before. Our waitress Jennifer was amazing. And when she asked how our experience was, she could see by the lack of food we had eaten, and the expression on my face, we were not impressed. We ended our meal with the tres leches cake that was very good. Overall, this place is a gimmicky tourist trap that over charges for their "atmosphere" and prays you get drunk off their $250 wine before you order. I thought for sure it would be decent, and was wrong. I would hate to see the quality in peak tourist season. Leaving hungry was not something I imagined.

We sure hit a home run when we decided to book a reservation at Hobbs Harborside. The restaurant is huge and beautiful, with a big bar, plenty of tables, and a big outdoor deck overlooking the water. We enjoyed a few drinks out on the deck before we were called. Our server for the evening was Shelby H. and if there is a finer server in the state of Maine, I'd be stunned. She was everything we could possibly have asked for -sweet, friendly, funny, conversational, cheerful, helpful, efficient, professional- she checked all the boxes. I started off with one of their pillowy soft complimentary dinner rolls, a glass of Zardetto Prosecco ($11), and then turned my attention to the many appetizers our table ordered to share. I sampled some of the Bacon Wrapped Scallops ($19.99) and Baby Lobster Cakes ($19.99) -both of which were excellent. For my main, I went with a Seafood Sampler ($31.99) - a "combination of fresh haddock, sea scallops and stuffed shrimp broiled with a topping of buttering crumbs". This was a wonderful dish! The scallops were sweet and tender, the fish was flaky and perfectly cooked, and the shrimp was delicious. The entrée came with a choice of 2 sides, so I went with a double order of Brussels Sprouts which were amazing. Thank you Hobbs Harborside and Shelby H for one of our best restaurant experiences of the year.

First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

I think they should have a few other American things on there besides broccoli and asparagus, carrots would be nice, maybe some stuffed mushrooms., street corn. The honey cheese we tried we tried the honey cheese was not that great. I do have to say probably the best thing is the pineapple.. there should be other options for salads. I am now still upset as I type this. The Lobster Pie and some of the namesake lobster sandwiches would have probably been much better than what I had. I was a bit burnt out on seafood and it was breakfastish time. I screwed up and ordered something that I knew I didn't like but thought I might be wrong. Nope. I was right, that I was wrong.... I got the country breakfast, with CITY HAM! What a moron!! I hate city ham and have no idea why I ordered it. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! Mad at myself for being a dumbass. It came with beans on toast and I ordered some kind of local sausages too. C had corned beef hash and eggs, and stole my beans and toast. I had some sausage gravy too to slap on them biscuits. Server was nice. It's hard to remember exactly because I lost my internal cool.... I did good keeping it contained, I don't think C even picked up on it as I am mastering my ability to have internal meltdowns with no external visibility. C did learn something here.... She likes baked beans on toast.... We are now looking for ways to get this elsewhere. We live in Memphis, so it's not that common. So we now ask for toast at BBQ places. Tehehe Sausage gravy was pretty good. Biscuits were fair. Hot Italian Sausages were very good, I liked them much better than city fucking ham. Beans are really nice with a good flavor and a nice kick. The side of potatoes were tasty. City ham sucks and should be banished from the planet earth immediately!
