Great pizzeria located in an area which seems kind of out of place. The place is nice size with plenty of seating. I ordered up a pepperoni slice and was told to have a seat and I would have it brought to me....huh? Come again? Now, there is a pizzeria in the Bronx that brings your slice to your table, but waitress service? It caught me way off guard. I sat and was brought my slice and my snapple and eventually a check....weird, because you almost feel obligated to give a tip which I'm sure most people don't, which sucks because the woman works hard. They also have Italian dishes that are really good for great prices. I highly recommended this place they are very respectful and friendly. If I could give 0 stars, solely based on customer service I would. I have no idea what their food tastes like because they refused to deliver it. I placed an order from a co-workers phone because I forgot mine. The order was being delivered to Citi Field, and the girl who took my order asked how to get there. Once I found out and told her she said ok. This was my first time ordering from this place. Apparently, either the driver is an idiot and cannot follow simple directions, or the person I gave the instructions to cannot relay a message properly. They called my co-worker's phone while she was working (in a position she could not answer her phone). I was also working in a different area, but left my money for the delivery person. When I returned an hour later, there was no pizza, so I called the restaurant. The man who answered was EXTREMELY rude!!! I don't know how they do business with absolutely no customer service skills. He proceeded to tell me that next time I should answer my phone, and he was not sending the delivery person back because they have other deliveries to make... If they had followed the SIMPLE instructions I provided them with, they would not have had a problem! And it's not like they had never delivered there before. Been living around this Pizzeria for over 20 years and been watching this place take a steep decline on its quality of taste. Im not one to ever write negative things about anyone and specially towards someones business but, i just had the worst wings EVER! The pizza as well; lack flavor and authenticity. The wings tasted like they came out a frozen bag and sure enough, i did catch someone in the back with a bag of frozen wings in their hands (yuck) I use to love eating the pizza from here; after school, movies, events and such but seriously. Wow. This place is delish! I had the shrimp scampi and the bf had the stuffed shells. All I can say I wow. I had it last night and I already want it again! Also has yum garlic knots unlike some other places where you cant taste any garlic and its like you're just eating bread, but not here, very well seasoned. We were in a hotel that was less than 2 miles from this restaurant we were unfamiliar with the area but the hotel referred this business as a good place to get pizza. We ordered online and the food came much sooner than we were told that the timeframe would be which was great. the yelp app told us that the food was delivered when it actually had not been as we had chose cash as our payment method And knew that it could not have been delivered without us paying. I had to make a telephone call to yelp about the communication. The pizza came shortly there after. So all in all the transaction went relatively smooth. We had salad and pizza. The salad was basically iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes and cucumbers which the cucumbers appeared to be previously frozen or had gotten too cold in their refrigeration. The pizza was mediocre but it was quite greasy as is it dripped out grease onto my Sneakers. I don't know that I would want to discourage anyone from trying this restaurant. we just felt like we had had better pizza than what this restaurant served us. Maybe my expectations were too high so I did not give it five stars but again do not want to give a bad rap either because the Yelp app had others that thought the food was really good. read more

We chose to go with one of their specials from the side of their take out menu that included an extra large cheese pizza, 2 liter of soda, chicken wings, and garlic knots. We added an order of mozzarella sticks. The garlic knots were actually pretty good, but the mozzarella sticks and (BBQ) wings were terrible. Worst I've ever had. They seem like they were frozen and just cooked up pre delivery. The mozzarella sticks were especially not my favorite. Not to mention the fact that they didn't deliver with any kind of plates, utensils, Parmesan cheese, napkins, cups and took over an hour. Those things can all be overlooked for amazing food. I been going to Angelos since I was a kid, unfortunately don't think I will be going anymore. I ordered a plain cheese pie, on good Friday since we can't eat meat and on top of it taking for ever to arrive to my house I received I pie that was entirely burnt on the bottom, and cost me $25 with delivery. I called and asked for it to be exchanged and the owner who I known for the longest refused, said he get me next time like that was really gonna happen. Very slow and difficult to work with for a large group. The space was nice to seat everyone.

This place is extremely unprofessional and rude. The manager however is pleasant, at times. Whoever is in-charge of answering the phones for deliveries ,seriously needs to take a workshop/training on interpersonal skills and customer service adequate. On the two occasions I called for a delivery, the gentleman was sucking his teeth and groaning , due to the fact that I kindly ask him for an invoice before making the purchase, as we are non-profit organization and are tax-exempt.The manager took over and kindly sent us our request. Then the person who delivered our pizzas had the nerve to demand a tip. I have and will never have a problem giving out tip however, there is a difference between accepting a tip and demanding a tip. He had stated that it wasn't his problem the restaurant was nasty to us. The last time I attempted to order from this establishment, the same gentleman answered the phone and realized it was us calling back. He proceeded to suck this teeth again and said he was not going to make an order for us anymore. So I kindly hung up and now I am writing this yelp review. :) To the manager, I hope you are reading this and realize that manners and professionalism goes along way. Solid slice of pizza. You don't really come to this area for pizza, but I work around here and need my fix. It's like a regular pizzeria but the ladies behind the counter also function as waiters. Seems a little strange that they come over and bring the bill like a restaurant. Pizza is quite tasty. Usually shoot for the Sicilian which is more flavorful. If you are really crazing pizza this place is not bad. I would however try some of the more ethnic places in the neighborhood, if you are looking for more tasty/exciting stuff. read more

Had a regular cheese slice and some chicken cutlet dish with salad and mozzarella cheese on it. I was expecting to pay less than $10 for it. But it wound up being $13.50. I didn't think one piece of chicken cutlet with lettuce on it and a couple small pieces of mozzarella and a reg slice would be that much. Neither the slice nor the chicken were spectacular. Before getting on yelp, me and my bf always rate places we go to eat, and this has been one of the hardest ratings. We argued between 3 and 4 stars because their pizza is amazing but everything else well, it's not amazing. I decided on 4 stars because I grew up on Angelo's, since they were a tiny little space next to what used to be a stationary on the corner of 103rd and 39th. My dad would always bring me here when he picked me up from school which is a couple blocks away, but that was back in the 90's. I still go there on occasions but it's only when I crave really cheesy pizza. Their pasta is cooked al dente which I love but they just throw the sauce over it, and that I dislike it makes it taste very "blah", their lasagna is good, and their chicken francaise had a good taste but unless they make it fresh its nothing to brag about, I never really had their salads but thats only because I mainly go here for pizza. The guys are very friendly and their waitresses could learn a thing or two about being friendly. Angelo's has come a long way, kudos to them but I think they should taste their food before serving it to customers. read more
