This is literally the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. I picked the spa pedicure ($20) which includes callus remover. They didn't include it. $12 extra for gel and it's all lumpy and streaky. Never again will I go back to this salon. Before I start: a few days ago I went to a salon up the street to get the acrylic nails for prom, the last few days they have been bothering me because they were too long. All I wanted was just a little bit taken off so I could function with them a little better. Simple task right? Decided to try the salon across the street from my school to see how they were; I give them one star for accepting a walk in (even when it was dead in there). I explained what I wanted. The lady I spoke with clearly did not understand what I wanted at all. She proceeds to take out the special scissors, and doesn't take little snips off but CUTS ALL OF IT OFF down to right against my actual finger. WHAT!!! She takes out the tools to "even" it up and her file to "shape" but nothing she did was okay. During my service, she was trying to force other services on me: "i make you flowa." Kindly I declined "i give you fill." I kindly responded again saying I did not need a fill since I had just gotten them done Saturday. and then she went into a speech about how my "eyebows" (yes, eyebows) needed "waxing" and she would do it for "6 dolla." Personally I like my Italian eyebrows (and have recently gotten them shaped) but I would not trust that lady to wax the eyebrows off my dead dog (bless her heart). How are you going to get clients to pay for your service when you don't even HAVE eyebrows yourself!?!?? A 3 dollar fee was all it took to get me out of there faster than I ever could. And she even had the nerve to ask me for her tip. Now, I am not one to get mouthy to people who do services for me, but I turned and looked at her and said, "you didn't earn it." She was pissed! They just came under new management and they are doing a great job. The shop is clean and the spa chairs are comfortable. The new owner is very welcoming and they offer you a bottle of water right away. My technician did a really lovely job on my pedicure and they offer a nice hot stone massage even with a basic pedicure. There prices are more than reasonable and they also have a rewards card, so on your 10th visit you get $10 off. read more

I was at Subway, and I noticed the sign angels nail salon. I looked it up on Yelp before making a walk in appointment. They had great reviews so I decided to check it out since I was in dire need of a fill and pedicure + brows . I also had my daughter with me, considering it was already 6:45 PM they told me they could only give her a polish change and pedicure instead of mani + pedi. Which was understandable considering they close at 7:30 PM. The reason I give this place a four star instead of a five star is because of the customer service from the male tech Don and for him not cleaning under my nails . I paid $45 for a fill, so you would think that they would clean underneath my nails. He wasn't very nice, had an attitude and always something smart to say although I kept a mild tone with him because I figured he may of been sleepy . I could go into detail about the different things he said that were very rude, but I feel it's unnecessary because maybe he's not like that all the time. I didn't say anything about my nails not being clean underneath because I didn't want him to come back with something rude and just wanted to get out of there because it was soooo hot. My 12 year old daughter was literally sweating . I will say, Don did a great job on my nails (shape, length etc) and my pedicure from a lady was awesome. She was very polite and kind . Her name started with an "A" I believe . I can't remember exact. I still gave this place 15% of my total since they stayed open late for me and the nails and Peru's looked very clean and nice . My powder fill was $45.00, my signature pedicure was $36.00, my brows were $13.00, my daughters polish change and pedicure came to $24.00. I was going to give this place a 3 star because of the 1. Customer service (I don't like giving my money to read people regardless of how well you do) 2. The flowers on my daughters manicures were crooked 3. Don did not clean underneath my nails 4. It was very hot But I'm going to go ahead and give this place 4 stars because I really like my nails overall and they stayed late for me. I feel 3 stars wouldn't be fair. Stopped in for the first time for a pedicure and was so excited to see a lil mini pedi chair for children I have been looking all over for a place to take my daughter. The pedicures range from $18-$44 so I shelled out for the most expensive and it was well worth it. It lasted over an hour and the massage alone was worth it. I also got a lip wax which was ok the lady put the wax from my lip to my mid cheek which was different but mayb I have a stash like the Lorax and was obliviously jk all in all a GREAT experience and I will definitely be back with my little one. read more

I would NEEEEEEVER go back to this place, like I said before they haggle on every little thing and then start raising the prices and doing things at additional cost without telling you and so then at the end you are stuck with a bill 3, 4, 5, 10 or more dollars more than what you went in planning on paying. I have never been the type to leave a place without paying for services (and Im still not) but the thought certainly crossed my mind while at this place. My usual nail salon was closed and was happy to find a nail salon open late on a Sunday. I had my 7 year old daughter with me who only wanted a french tip manicure but after seeing their kid massage chair she decided she wanted a pedicure - the chair was a good touch for kids! Kim did my pedi and I like how they had the option to choose what type of package you wanted with the price right next to it. I enjoyed my pedicure and didnt feel rushed at all, I was hesitant on coming in since the few bad reviews they had were based on the rushed pedicure but neither mine or my daughters pedis were rushed. Pricing is so reasonable but best part is that the work is quality work. Darren did my nails and he nailed it (pun intended) ;). He knew exactly what I wanted and was a perfectionist when it came to shaping my nails to make sure they were the shape I wanted them to be.The entire staff was friendly and one of them (not even my nail tech) even let me borrow a phone charger because my phone was gonna die. Genuinely nice people, not your usual salon where they all make you feel uncomfortable like they're talking about you. They all talked to their customers and made conversation and huge plus too was they play the most hilarious videos on their tv. I live in Los Angeles and I was visiting a friend that lives in San Diego. She took us to this nail shop and everything was good. They sat us all 3 at the same time, didnt have to wait since we did make an appointment. I chose a lilac color that was a "Perfect Match" for a gel mani and a regular pedi. I got my nails done on Saturday. I came back to Los Angeles on Sunday. And on Monday by nails were looking stained. They suddenly had brown spots. Today Wednesday my nails are even more brown! I have attached the pictures. I am highly upset because I paid $40 or more plus tip!! If I would've known this I would've never came here. I came here for a gel manicure and to get acrylics on 2 nails (my natural nails broke off). The color I picked from the swatches ended up being very different/much darker than the one I picked, and within the first couple hours the manicure had bubbles. After 3 days (and no labor that would've made this happen), both my acrylics snapped off and the rest of my nails were chipping. I would've given this 1 star, but I called to tell them and they were kind enough to replace my 2 acrylics and redo 1 of my nails! The customer service brought it up to 3 stars, but in terms of quality I would recommend going somewhere else (I normally go to paint nail lounge, but wanted to branch off. I really wanted to like this place as it was in my area and easy to get to on a busy day however after letting myself time to really decide I'm very unhappy. I was happy it didn't take long for both services as I scheduled a gel manicure and pedicure. But seeing that all was finished even soaking my previous gel within an hour caused the poor quality and little details to be missed. The shape of my nails were off and the polish is already lifting and normally at my old place the polish can least at least 4 weeks with me at the gym every other day. The tech was super nice but it was definitely rushed and the little details have turned me away. I went here this morning for a pedicure with two friends. Its a relaxing environment with nice massage chairs. I like that they kept the doors open. I was very pleased with the services. The signature pedicure came with a little hot stone massage, exfoliating rub and paraffin dip. My feet are so soft. The employees seem to enjoy their jobs which is important to me. It definitively got busier was time went on - so if you want to be seen right away I recommend going early. We made appointments at 10 and didn't have to wait. You know when people lecture you about "You get what you pay for!" Well, this isn't even worth what I paid for, let me just tell you that. I had gotten out of school today, and was in need of a dire eyebrow wax. I saw that this place right next to the Subway for six bucks. I figured, "Why not?" I gave it a try. The women were cute, they didn't trash talk me like most people stereotype Asian salon workers. Anyway, that wasn't the point. The woman waxed me, and it left my eyebrows red as a tomato, which usually doesn't happen when I go to other salons to get my eyebrows done. She over plucked in places that weren't meant to be plucked, and left the places that were supposed to be plucked, unplucked. I have bald spots in my brows now cause of that, by the way. I had asked for an arch and got straight brows. Not to mention! She dropped some frikkin' wax in my hair! MY HAIR! Not only did she not tell me of her accident, she cut it off! Needless to say, when my boyfriend ventured back to get me, I cried in his arms after I left. I should give them the lowest rating possible, but they were nice. And cute. And didn't talk trash. And they do some pretty decent work on the nails. Cheap, too. I'd like to give them a go again for my pedicure and whatnot, but never again will I get a wax from there. Decided to try this place because of the good reviews. I got a gel manicure and left with not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 deep throbbing cuts on the sides of my nails where my nail technician tried cutting the dry gel off of my skin with the cuticle cutters rather than cleaning up the surrounding skin before curing my gel. She was very rough with the tools she used and when I asked for a bandaid for my bleeding finger they replied with "why?" This place is good for the money, but horrible if you're in a rush. Both times I've been here my nails were done by the owner. Both times, I was in the salon for at least an hour and a half BEFORE my nails were even touched, and both times I was the only person waiting! It took over an hour to do a basic fill, and nearly 2 when I got a new full set on my un-manicured nails. Another thing is that it is impossible to pay the base price. I got a fill here twice, and both times paid more then $10 even though I don't even have a french manicure. When I asked why it wasn't $10, the owner said she uses "special" acryllic power even though I clearly asked for the basic fill since I wanted to paint my nails at home (they use very cheap polishes here). While it was still fairly cheap, I didn't appreciate being cheated. All in all, if you MUST go here, be prepared to wait forever and just have your nails done so-so. Skip it if you can... read more

Came in for a full set + pedicure. My nails came out fantastic! Don did a great job, I left with exactly what I wanted. My pedicure turned out good as well but the technician was very rough. She filed too close and rubbed my skin and she cut me when she was nipping my cuticles. I'm not sure if she was in a hurry or if that's just her style. The lady doing my nails filed the side of my pinky so hard and fast that it literally cut me and I started bleeding. She didn't even apologize:( she just looked at me and made a face and then moved on to another finger. Then, when she was cleaning the nails off after she put a layer of clear gel, she put nail polish remover in the cut and it stung badly! I said ow and told her it hurt because she had cut me and she said "it was an accident" and still did not apologize. Kind of rude but obviously I still tipped her and went on with my day. I thought it would stop hurting shortly after but it's been bothering me ever since (it's pretty deep. I couldn't get a good picture close up) Just thought I would post this to let people know that the customer service isn't great, but my nails did turn out how I wanted them so that's why I gave them 2 stars. They have okay prices, but my acrylics were not done well. They are a little on the thick side and I had to peel off an excessive amount of acrylic off of my fingers. Some nails are not completely covered by the nail polish. I've only had my nails on for a week, and as they grow out I can see that the edges on the top (base of the nail) are all uneven. This makes them look extremely messy. I do not know if it was just bc the lady who did my nails was not up to standard, and I do not remember her name either. I've gotten way better quality of acrylics at an even cheaper price. The lady even buzzed my finger with the electric tool a few times. I will not be coming here again. read more

I live around the corner so I come here frequently. Everything is usually pretty good but sometimes the communication about wait times is a little odd because I think they do mostly walk in business. If you do have to wait there is a subway and a neighborhood burger joint called slides just next door, so that's an easy way to kill 30 minutes. Otherwise the work they do is quite good and pretty quick. If they are slow they will do your manicure while you are in the pedicure spa chair. I do like the loyalty card. For every $10 you spend you get a stamp, so after $90 or $100 spent and your card is filled, you get $10 free off your next visit. It adds up and it's a nice perk I haven't seen at other salons. read more
