This hole-in-the-wall café is a gem you shouldn't miss! Angel's Café serves up some fantastic breakfast dishes with a delicious Latino twist. Sure, you can get your usual bacon, eggs, and sausages--but their chorizo takes center stage here, and it's a must-try. I ordered the Chorizo Benedict, and it was amazing! The chipotle sauce on top had just the right amount of kick without being overpowering. My boyfriend got the Meat Lovers Omelette--the sausage was a bit overcooked, but overall still tasty. Both the hash browns and country potatoes were perfectly done (I didn't even have to ask for extra crispy!). The coffee was on the stronger side, but it was nice that we could take it to go. Our server was super kind, attentive, and made friendly conversation, which really added to the experience. We had a great breakfast--thank you, Angel's Café!

I love a hole in the wall breakfast place! Id definitely go back and the ladies in there were sooooo sweet. Very quiet and classy on the inside , perfect for a coffee date. I'd definitely get a regular breakfast sandwich next time though! I didn't have a big appetite and it was so filling but due to the jelly it's not good to save for later :p

Outside entrance beautiful place! Hidden gem! Got the chorizo burrito and it was so filling!

Chilaquiles to die for with grilled English muffin and scrambled eggs

I stand by my old review. Still to this day, I have yet to try another dish because why mess up a good thing? Chilaquiles for the win! I prefer an egg cooked with a runny yolk when eating my chilaquiles, but have yet to determine which methods of cooking that is, so that's really the only thing that changes for me. I oddly really like a grilled English muffin with this dish as my toast, though I know it doesn't really go. Spicy is in the description, but I would say there was a kick and not too spicy (I usually add more spice). I took my partner here for the first time and thought I would add the following information because it can be confusing. First, parking is easily available either in the parking lot next to the restaurant or on the street. Second, after you walk in go ahead and seat yourself. Third, when ready to pay just head to the counter in the back to pay. Fourth, if possible cash tip is preferred. Last, NOT a first date kind of place (it can be loud with children and the kitchen).

Love Angel's for the best chorizo scramble or breakfast burrito. The chorizo is lean and well spiced. The service is wonderful, fast and friendly. I feel like my mom or Tia is making sure I eat a good breakfast before work. The ambiance is simple but just like someone's home kitchen. The servers are talkative if you want or respectful if you just want a peaceful breakfast. Takeout is really quick. In the past 2 months this has been a weekly treat!

When maps directed me to here, I was shocked. Stepped in there was 1 party so I said great its not busy. As we took a seat, I kept hearing the online ordering beeps while the nice young man was there checking them. Alan came around and handed us menus and since my little one is into chicken or country fried steak, its the first thing I asked him when he greeted us. Ordered the food and observed hes the only o ne cleaning tables, greeting, processing the online orders and waiting. Hes truly a star and is great at what he does. Food is fresh and delicious. Did not disappoint. Kudos to Alan

I…read morereviewed yelp to find something close that maybe we hadn't tried, and I found Mely's with the amazing rating of 4.3 stars. We've lived in Hercules for over 30 years and are creatures of habit, so it was nice to venture the 10-minute drive to San Pablo. We were not impressed by the exterior strip mall building, but the interior of Mely's is very cute, homey, and clean. (I even peeked into the kitchen since the door was open.) I wanted pancakes, but got waffles instead since W ordered the blueberry buttermilk stack. We both had a side of eggs, his scrambled and mine sunny side up. The eggs were delish; mine in particular was perfectly cooked with slightly crunchy edges, a beautiful, silky, runny yolk, and no uncooked whites. The blueberry pancakes are so good! Of course they are huge and I ate some of them in addition to my waffle. We could have split just the pancakes and been perfectly happy. They cook berries inside the homemade batter and top them with a house-made blueberry compote. Maple syrup and soft butter on the side. The waffles are crispy outside with a light, airy, center, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I had strawberries on the side (+$5 !!). Since I ate some of W's pancakes, we took half the waffles home. W had a drip coffee--no decalf available so I had the fresh-squeezed OJ. It was a large glass so I took half of that home, too. The coffee was nothing to rave about, but it was coffee. Service was friendly and efficient--there is only one cook and one server, and it seems several of us arrived at the same time on this Sunday morning. Overall a wonderful find that we will return to so we can explore more dishes. We saw omelets and Benedict's come out that looked amazing! Plus, I want to try the dinner menu, which also looked pretty amazing.

As a Richmond local, I've spent a decent of time chasing real good beer and comfort food around the Bay, and this place delivered. We started with my favorite cucumber salad and a couple Fieldwork IPAs (the regular West Coast IPA, not hazy). Then came the fish & chips. Honestly, fish (unless it is extraordinary) doesn't usually get me excited, but this was the standout. The batter was light, crispy, and steaming hot, with two good-sized pieces of fish per order. Add lemon and malt vinegar and it was game over. The fries were great, too, but the fish was the surprise. In fact, I liked it so much I ordered a second plate. At $28, it's more of a treat than a habit, but when I find great fish & chips, I'm all in. The setting doesn't hurt, either. Sitting above Point San Pablo Harbor with the boats gently rocking below is about as relaxing as Richmond gets. Then Los Bahianatos!! started playing cumbia and completely won over the crowd. Before long people were happy & dancing and sticking around longer than they probably planned. Good beer, great fish & chips, live music, and a waterfront view. Hard to complain about any of that.

The lamb featured warm spices, turmeric rice, and roasted tomatoes, while the fried chicken was perfectly crispy outside and juicy inside. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, earning the food a solid 5/5. Lulu's has a warm, welcoming, and casual atmosphere. Guests order at the counter, then choose a table in the adjacent dining room, where water, napkins, and utensils are self-serve. Our food arrived within minutes, and the woman who took our order was positive, welcoming, and helpful. We arrived about an hour before closing and still had plenty of time to order and enjoy our meal. Overall, Lulu's delivered a warm, memorable 5-star dining experience, and I would gladly return. I hope the business survives, I guess it was hurting so they had to downsize. The fried chicken is done well, moist juicy crunchy - unfortunately they only use white meat - but it's pretty good. The fries, not fresh. I hate old soggy dry fries. The falafel bowl is decent, mostly fresh ingredients (but the rice was not fresh, was old rice). Needs more sauce. Nice that the falafels crispy but not too greasy.
